The same scammer contacted me twice, each time with a different phone number, telling me he wanted to buy my kitchen dining set. He would send his check via UPS with a tracking number and I should deposit it in my bank. Today (9-30-19) he texted with a different phone with this message:

"Hello LA, this is Mark Allen the buyer of your Kitchen/Dining Set - Ashley, my other line is acting up and this is my new contact. This is the tracking #9405512699350103112873 I got from usps, once you have it Kindly have it deposited electronically via ATM, mobile deposit or bank once you get the check and get back to me when pickup can be done, Confirm you got the tracking number?" (Vertabim from my phone)

There you have it! Another stinking scammer who refuses to work for a living!! Don't be scammed by him!

Texts asking to rent my chocolate fountain. Asks me for a favor.

Will I deposit his check for $1500.00 in my account and he will give me $300.00 for my trouble.

Please catch this crook. He has been waiting 3 weeks for me to decide. LOL.

I HOPE you catch them.

Call from "Social Security" office stating my SS# had been suspended, and to call back or an arrest warrant would be issued. Upon calling back, they just answered "hello". Then they requested my name, SS#, date of birth, etc. When I refused, they hung up on me. I called, again, with them telling me that I would have an arrest warrant issued for me if I did not give them information. **SCAM**

- Chicago, IL, USA

Scammer called, upon me answering they state "Hi this is (forgot Name) can you hear me on this recorded phone call". When I answered "yes", they hung up.

Received a recorded phone call explaining that my social insurance number had been used for fraud and went on to explain all the effects of this and to keep my social insurance number activated I would need to press one to give them my info.

Did not give them any info just hung up but had the phone number they called from show up on my caller ID

Im selling a car on Craigslist. I sell stuff all the time so I've seen all possible scams but this is one is new. A person calls me but I don't answer then messages me about the car. I call him back but he ignores me and prefers text. He then asked some questions about the car. Then asks for a VIN report. I tell him the VIN is in the description and he can look it up himself. He then sends me a link for a Website I've never heard of to get a VIN report for him. Obvious red flags. Turns out it's a new scam to put cash straight in there pocket.

They call; say your name, and you say yes, thinking its someone you know. They hang up.

Continuous harrassment from this company. I block an email address, amd i get another email with a different name, same business address. Everyday a new email from a different business name soliciting me to borrow money. This is harassment and i want it stopped

Receiving calls every hour on the hour from one of two numbers in Florida. A robot-voice states "Because we have found many suspicious activities on your social, before we go ahead and suspend your number kindly call us back on our number, which is 941-213-2821."

- Scotts Valley, CA, USA

I received a voicemail message from this number; no company name or address was offered. A woman identifying herself as Ashley Eubanks in regards to Complaint #CA-Z150682 in process of being filed in Santa Cruz County (which is where I live). She said: "Ma'am, attached to this complaint is a request of wage garnishment against the social ending in" and then she gave four numbers which aren't what my Social ends in, then said, "Excuse me, ending in" and then gave the correct four numbers. She then said, "You can resolve this voluntarily and avoid that wage garnishment by contacting our firm back within the next 48 hours. After that point this will be filed and a summons issued for you. Our number is (877) 733-0379 and my extension is 114." I didn't call the number. I Googled the number and didn't come up with any results. I figured it was a scam but since they gave "specific-sounding information," I wanted to be sure.

- Naples, FL, USA

Asked "Can you hear me?" I said "Yes" then they hung up

Both yesterday and again today I received a voicemail saying that my account had been suspended. It gave me options to push buttons. Which in a voicemail told me it was recorded. I called the # back and it went to Verizon. They said my account was fine and that their # had been spoofed. The number used yesterday and today were the same.

- Tucson, AZ, USA

I keep getting phone calls from my own phone number saying my IP address has been compromised in several countries. Sometimes they just call and hang up. I am curious as to how they manage to call from my own number. They continue to say I need to replace up address and say press 1 to speak to someone and i just hang up at that point. They have called me about 5 times in the last 30-40 minutes.

- Daytona Beach, FL, USA

Called and said “hey (my name)?” I answered with a “yes” and they hung up immediately

When I called back I got a recorded message

Received an unsolicited check to become a secret shopper. Long list of instructions including check to deposit, texting to track my movements, purchasing gift cards from WalMart. Letter looks suspect, no business name, sounds threatening if you don't comply quickly with their specific instructions.

Name/Address on the priority mailer is Joel Hoover, 114 S Shirk Rd., New Holland, PA 17557-9209

- Alice, TX, USA

- San Diego, CA, USA

I received a phone call at 9:20 am on Monday August 12, 2019. A seemingly personable woman said hello, this call is being recorded and asked me if I could hear her. I said yes.

Message originally asked me to email [email protected], responding email came from [email protected].

Story was the same as to why giving away free puppy, moved and couldn’t have them in new home. I had emailed on another ad and it had the same reasoning.

I did respond back asking to meet the puppy to which I haven’t gotten a. Response yet. Reading other posts it seems this is a scam so I will not be writing back or giving any money.
