“Our records indicate that you have not contacted us regarding the vehicle service contract on your vehicle.

By neglecting to activate your coverage you will be at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs after your factory warranty expires. However, you still may have time left to activate coverage on your vehicle before it’s too late.”

Scam: You do need need to call anyone to ensure that your factory warranty is in place.

I was mailed a card about a car warranty. I recently purchased a car prior to the mail being received. I called the number they gave me and they said it would be a recurring monthly payment for 18 months. I thought it was a legit warranty as I did just purchase a new car. Turns out they are a scam and do not actually offer such services and they just used my card info to take money from me without an exchange of service.

Just bought a 2023 Kia sportage a year ago and the last few months these letters at least 6 of them have come as letters to my address. They are marked call lmmediately. Extremely urgent and time sensitive. They sent me insurance cards and telling me that their records indicate that my manufacturer warranty may have expired. Call now to activate. I kept 2 copies of the letters. My car warranty is good for 4 more years. I checked. They are trying in these letters that I need to act now and assunging that I will panic and call them to get their insurance. Nationwide shouldn’t be using these tatacktics to trick people to get insurance. I called them and they hung up on me. I’m a senior citizen and they are feeding on people like me. Can you help me please

I received a perforated letter claiming my vehicle’s warranty will expire or already has. The instructions state to call the phone number by a specific date otherwise the option of a warranty will no longer be available.

Have received MANY notifications by mail instructing me to call a number because my vehicle warranty is about to expire. This is coincidentally right after switching and getting the title here to NC.

The alias on the piece of mail is "Andrew Williams Project Coordinator"

I have received several letters in the mail that say things like "our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle service contract activated" - RE: 2021 HYUNDAI - asking me to call 1-833-968-0216 - Funny thing is... I have never had a drivers license or a car purchased in my name - has to be some kind of Scam...

I received a letter with my name and address along with vehicle vin number saying I needed to active the warranty.

- Dallas, TX, USA • Jan 18, 2024

Got this message with my brand of car purchased in Sept 2023.

"Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have your vehicle service contract activated. We are informing you that if your factory warranty has expired, you will be responsible for playing any repairs. However, if expired, you can still activate a service contract on your vehicle before it's too late.

Please call: 1-88-307-2025 today"

There is no business name, address, or website. The letter includes the first 9 characters of a VIN.

I recently purchased a vehicle. I received a letter signed Richard Thomas as the Program Coordinator for the Vehicle Service Division. The letter stated I needed to contact the listed number or be liable of any repairs needed on the vehicle if I allowed the factory warranty to expire.

The individual called my phone said, hi Carole" and my response was yes who's calling and then they hung up. So they got me to say yes and then I realized it was a scam and I tried to call him back and my number was blocked and all I got was an answering service

This will be the 5th time they've reached out to me ever since 2022 of late last year. I kindly asked them to stop after I confirmed to them the first time I said that I never owned a 2017 Dodge Journey. They responded and "deleted" my info and sent it back to me by mail several more times this year. What makes this all the more suspicious is that they don't have a return address, website, email address nor any other method of contacting them aside from the big bold numbers they plaster on their front page. Actually their "return address" says:
"2017 Dodge Journey"
"Official Business"
"Penalty for Private Use is $300"

Sadly it took a while for me to realize that this was all a scam. They're hiding under a company name to carry out their scams apparently by getting me to give them some personal info.

Since purchasing a new car in April. I have received repeated letters saying I have no vehicle protection plan, thus making me liable for repairs. Attached to the letter is a registration fee voucher. Though it says it is not a check, my elderly husband with dementia keeps insisting that I need to sign it for redemption. I have checked with my dealership and insurance company who assure me this letter is not from them. A 2nd phone number given is 844 707 7033.

Received a Final Notice on Vehicle warranty going to expire because I did not respond to a previous letter also sent via us mail.. It is addressed to me but...I DO NOT OWN THE MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE THAT THEY LIST and upon checking online the VIN number does not exist.. The phone number listed is, 1 844 712 6150. There is also an Auto Repair Network FL LICENSE #183672 listed at bottom of letter. In very small print under the license number is: Image Copyright 2022 Hearst Business Media Corp...THESE SCAMMERS NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.

I answered this call because I thought it might have been my Instacart shopper. Caller said her name was Ashley calling from some time of vehicle warranty or service company, and she said "can you hear me"? I answered "yes" without thinking. Call came from 833-386-2581.

I received two postcards in the mail saying that my vehicle warranty wasn’t activated, and to call the number. I called the number and they claimed that the car I just bought wasn’t warrantied. So silly! They then tried to get me to pay for the coverage and that I’d owe monthly payments. I hung up
