Consoles.com offers a $1 trial search with $29.95 monthly charge after 7 days. They start charging the $29.95 before and after trial period even if you have cancelled trial offer. Customer support phone number is automated with four options. One option is to cancel your subscription and tells you it has been. Emails will go unanswered. If you file a complaint with BBB they respond with an offer of a refund. Thinking you are getting somewhere you accept this offer as fixing the problem but this is only to clear the complaint against them as resolved. You will never get the refund and the whole process of contacting with no response starts over. Because you give authorization for the $1 transaction your financial institution will not help you through any refund process. I have found the domain company name which is Namebrightprivacy.com
Their phone number is 720-496-0020
They will not give any personal information as to people’s names on the domain because vinseeker have redacted for privacy. You can file a complaint at abusenamenrightprivacy.com and told by an employee, that answered my call at the above mentioned number, that their fraud department would investigate. I doubt that happens but i will try.

They charged me a little amount at first and a monthly fee for a one time transaction. Now the number is disconnected with no way to get a hold of them.

Like a lot of others, I wanted to check a VIN for a car I was interested in. I found Vinseeker offering a $1.00 per lookup service, with a cancel anytime statement, and thought I would try them out. The info they provided was nothing I not already found via Google, so I called to cancel, same day. The phone was answered on ring number 2, I spoke with a rep., stating the service was not for me, and I would like to cancel, the said she would handle it, and it was cancelled, I thanked her and hung up.

15 days later they hit my card for $29.95. Thinking it was a glitch I called to resolve the issue, the phone rang 2x and hung up, hmm tried again, same results. I sent an email, which was undeliverable. I called my CC company and explained what was going on, started a dispute, froze the account and a new card number was issued to prevent it from haoppening again. Two weeks later they hit my new card for $29.95 again. Still working with my card company, still unable to reach VinSeeker by phone, or email. JUST DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY... Next stop for me is the FTC and the BBB

After requesting and receiving a vehicle history report for a promotional price, I have an ongoing supscription fee being charged to my credit card - for a subscription for which I did not ever sign up or request. Tried calling and emailing the company but obtained a recorded message on the phone and no answer on email.

Vinseeker charges 4.95 for generic info. Then keeps running charges for higher amounts. Complete Fraud.

Check complete SCAM. Charge you $1 then signs you up monthly. Tells me account closed, Lied! So, far they got $60. 2x $29.99 a month. They'll tell you want to hear and then keep charging you. Reported BBB... Please don't use...

I agree with all the complaints I've read here. VINSEEKER.COM lures you in with a $1 for 1-week trial for multiple vehicle reports. The report is nothing more than what you can get for free from the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (vehiclehistory.gov). My motorcycle vehicle report contained no ownership or title history, despite VINSEEKER.COM's advertising claiming that it would.

I cancelled immediately via their preferred method, Chat, which gives a confirmation. Then exactly 1 week after signing up, my credit card got hit with the first $29.95 monthly subscription fee. Avoid VINSEEKER.COM or any other online service that sounds too good to be true, or like me you may have to cancel your credit card to stop the charging.

Chat is not manned, 888 number will not pick up, their address is for a luxury apartment building, leading me to conclude this is definitely a phishing operation. Avoid VINSEEKER.COM like the plague!

VISA, Mastercard, banks, and/or attorney generals should have a tool for swiftly putting these crooks out of business.

I used this service one time, 1.00 for the first 5 days, no way of creating an account until after they charge you 29.95. The phone number does not work, emailed them never get a response, recently a chat has been added. Last month 1 was credited the 2nd monthly fee, canceling, so I thought, until last week, I am charged a 3rd time. Now the chat keeps giving me the same bull crap, still no refund, no return email and the phone still rings fast and hangs up.

My membership been canceled and they changed my account. Still waiting on refund almost a week

VinSeeker is supposed to be like a cheaper Carfax, but it is terrible and didn't even get the correct year of my car with my vin number, let alone any information about the history. Then their customer support is only an AI Chat that points you to a phone number and email that don't work. So, your only option is to cancel your credit card. I don't know how they are still operating and stealing money from people. BBB.com has them as an F rating. Does the Attorney General get involved at some point?

VINSEEKER SUCKS YOU IN WITH $1.00 one time report OR a monthly option

I SELECTED A ONE TIME REPORT
THEY HAVE TRIED TO TAKE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT. BUT I PAID WITH APPLE CASH AND HAVE REMOVED FUNDS. Apple cannot do stop charges on Apple Cash. Having to cancel my account. The phone number doesn’t work, the emails they don’t respond, the website chat is just AI and not a person. It’s a perfect way to evade responsibility. The regular terms and conditions on the website are horrendous. I can’t believe I did this. THE WORST PART IS- THE REPORT THEY GENERATED WAS COMPLETELY WRONG, wrong year, wrong model etc.

Paid $1.00 and was enrolled in a monthly recurring charge 29.95. Tried to cancel and option wasn't available on website. Tried calling and the phone is not a working number. Had to request lost password to login to site. Never set up an online account. This is a SCAM, BEWARE. Had to contact my bank for a refund and to stop recurring charges.

I was planning on purchasing a used car and wanted to check the vin number for any information about its history, I paid an initial $1.00 payment for the report, a week later I get a $29.95 charge on my bank account. I called their customer service number and it was disconnected, I also sent many emails to cancel the service but all have been ignored. I had to dispute the charges and block them from charging my account. Stay clear they are out to get your money, this is not a legitimate company.

I reviewed a vin number, charged 1.00. There was no other information regarding a monthly charge on 29.95. There was no other information of terms and conditions. One week after reviewing my 1.00 vin number report, I was fraudulently charged 29.95, without notice, no emails with notification stating this would transpire. I have emailed 3 times, no response, Sunday I called 10 times, rings busy, called 3 times Monday, just called this morning, every time the number rings busy. This is fraud. Website claims they have live chat, wrong. After being charged 29.95, I had to register "forgot my password" NEVER created an account, I get logged in, thats when I am informed of 29.95 a month charge. This is fraud.
Fraudulent

This was a trial or one time fee of “$1.00”, to check one vin number on a car I purchased. A few days later one charge of $30.00 charged to the vendor appeared deducted from my account. I’ve tried calling the phone number on this transaction from my bank & website and was greeted by a constant busy signal. I had authorized $1.00 one time fee to check a car vin. My account has been charged $30.00 TWICE in April alone within two weeks apart! I have emailed the company to resolve the issue and request a refund to no avail. I have also contacted my banking institution about this matter to avoid any future charges. So far I have not received my money back.
