I received a call to my cell phone but was not available to answer it. A voice mail message was left saying that I had purchased a PlayStation of some sort for $919.45 and it was asking me to push one to, and so on and so forth, I did none of those things and blocked the collar and reported it to you.

- Chicago, IL, USA • Sep 23, 2024

Just to clarify: there was no known zip code, or email address. The area code of the phone number showed up as from Minneapolis, MN, but I don't know if that is where the actual call is from.

A voicemail was left by a computer automated voice which identified as Nicole, which reported that a purchase of $893.72 via my walmart.com account PCL 85 X Box 4000 HDR Smart TV with Roku was made with my account. I checked my account w/ walmart.com and there was no such order.

The voicemail instructed me to press one to cancel my order or connect with a customer service representative.

I accidentally hit call back button, but then hung up immediately.

Got a call with a recording stating that someone tried to use my Walmart acct to purchase a PlayStation 5 with a bunch of extras and that I needed to talk to fraud team by pressing one. Well I was transferred to a call center where an Indian person claiming to be officer Williams asked what I needed help with. I replied you called me you tell me. He asked for my name so I gave him a fake name and he called me a liar. I called him a liar as his name is clearly not Williams. Or any sort of American name. He called me a monkey and hung up

I received a voicemail that repeated 3 1/2 times stating he was Paul from Walmart telling me a "pre-authorized purchase of PlayStation five with special edition and pulse 3-D headset is being ordered from your Walmart account for the amount of $919.45. To cancel your order or to connect with one of our customer support representatives please press one..." I called the number that showed up on my caller ID. The male that answered spoke with an accent as though English was not his first language. As the area code indicated San Fransisco, I asked where he was physically located. He replied, "Kansas". I then hung up.

I saw an ad from Walmart said they were having a raffle to give away some outdated laptops. They showed a nice picture of a Walmart employee with a bunch of computers. ? the comments looked good but now I think they were false comments. After ?? supposedly I hit the winning gift after the second try, it said I won a laptop. Proceeding with giving my name and address it comes up with nine dollars shipping that sounded fair. I put in my credit card information then to my surprise it says you have now purchased some health supplies. I tried to call the customer service phone but they hung up after about 10 minutes. I knew for sure I was in trouble. I called the credit card company and there was $149 pending for those health supplies. It didn’t state that before. That charge was taken off and now we have to watch our card. They will send us new cards. I wish I could blame this on being sick but I we just careless. There is a second deal from Walmart and also one from Amazon for tablets. They all look similar and so authentic.

someoutdatedlaptops.com--I don't know where this came from as I had just pasted from warning my facebook friends.

A caller named James Brown who claimed to be from Walmart called to verify my purchase at Walmart of $1000+ for a laptop and airbuds. He knew my phone number, name, and address. I did not make this purchase. I told him I believed it was a scam and hung up. I then contacted Walmart and they confirmed it was not them and there was a not a purchase like this on my account.

I received a text message supposedly from Walmart saying I won a $500 gift card as long as I fill out the survey. And then once you click on the link, all of a sudden you have to take a survey and pay a dollar to get the gift card. So you go through the survey and then you get to the end and you fill out all the information all your information for shipping purposes and then you put in your credit card and at this point they still only told you that she only have to pay a dollar to get the gift card. Luckily, I only had a dollar in my bank account and not more than that because it got denied so that’s when I realized that I was being scammed and when I went back to the website all of a sudden it’s saying now you have to pay all these other different amounts, in order to get a ticket to enter into a sweepstakes to win the $500 gift card. And it’s all just a dumb scam to get money out of people.

Did not appear to be in the US. More callers in background.

- Ferndale, WA, USA • Mar 04, 2024

They made it seem like it was with Walmart you could receive a laptop by paying $9.95. I should of known better. They charged my card, and it was from some kind of jewelry place. Then the other day there is a charge for $179.00 on my card. So I called my bank. They advised me to contact them and try to settle it with them. I called and spoke to a woman she said she was a third-party company, and she wouldn't give me the phone number. She told me she could refund me 35% of the charge then it went up to 50% and we were disconnected. I am not sure what to do now. It is a total scam and I am so sick of things like this.
