Same thing happened to me. I was being greedy and made an impulse purchase. That was an hour ago. I used my MC. I just hung up with MC and they said the charge is pending, and it's not Wayfair. Once the charge clears I can dispute the transaction and get my money back. I'll NEVER fall for this type scam again. Too good to be true! I knew in my gut it was fraudulent.

Just happened to me thru WAYFAIRDEALS on Facebook marketplace. Noticed a transaction to a PayPal Account with a Chinese name, and contacted PayPal right away. Being as it was less than an hour, they reversed the charges and shut down anything PayPal related to them and their banking information. They had their name and contact info!

We ordered a bathroom sink vanity $80.99 from this site and the ordered was confirmed. We paid through paypal. I had not heard anything further so I have reached out twice but no response so I started thinking this is a scam. Went to the site to see the order and the website is no longer available! People like this just piss me off. Buyer BEWARE!

I found a similar link from Facebook Marketplace and took the bait enough to look around on their site. I was suspicious of the prices that were too good to be true so I did a little digging.

First, I had just been through a workplace training on scam emails/phishing scams so I looked at the web address not Wayfair's (wnb8.com) tho the used the same logo. Lower quality graphics (especially on the Paypal- credit card logos. A little fuzzy around the edges like it had been copied over many times. Every item listed was 5 stars, but wouldn't click through to a review. Their "contact us" page was a little wonky as well...no substance, just slick. Thank goodness I didn't fall for it (tho I have in the past on other "deals") it led me here & hopefully I can help somebody avoid being taken.
WATCH FOR FAKE WEB ADDRESS

I saw a flash sale on Facebook which appeared to be through WayFair so I assumed it was legit, it was not! I ordered three sofa beds at what I should have known was a scan for $39.00 each! I paid and it showed up on my account as a PayPal payment for $109.00 which I could not track, I tried. After I ordered I noticed China lettering on the account. They sent me a tracking number which I was able to track, I even communicated a couple times via email with someone on their end. 3 days ago I received a tiny package from Beijing China with the tracking number they gave me it contained a pair of cheap made earrings! Oh I was so mad at myself for falling for such a ridiculous scam. I should have known better! Worse part I sent the sale to my sister that is on a extremely tight budget and she ordered one with money she didn’t really have to spare.
The company name they used was Boadan, they have now closed their shopping site which I’m sure was a fake they had created just for this scam! Now I own a $.50 cent pair of earrings that I paid $109 for! This is one secret I will keep from my hubby forever! Well at least for long enough for it to be a “jokes on you” laugh.
Here is what my confirmation looked
Like, this is when I saw the letters in Chinese, I had a sick feeling at this point

All the above sites are all part of the same place. They scammed me out of over $300. I have emailed them, which is the only contact information provided. I've never received a reply, have not gotten my merchandise. Stay clear of these sites

Website from fb link is lowes.myshopplaza.com
I ordered a fireplace tv stand for 93.99 and charge apeared on my bank acct as paypal..funny thing is the transaction never involved paypal. Now my bank says i have to wait for the "merchant" to claim the money that has been removed from my account as pending before i can take action. Warning to everyone dont ever click on fb adds

Thank you for saving me from making big mistake, an add from Facebook led me to what I thought was Wayfair with unbelievable price for e-bikes at 69.00 and was about to buy a few. Thanks again for posting.

It was an ad for sofa beds on clearance sale. I purchased 2 of them. They gave me a confirmation email and tracking number. The tracking number never allowed me to track it. Finally, when I tried again, I received a warning that it was a suspected phishing site. Also, for some reason, the tracking number became the tracking number for another package that my husband ordered. Maybe because it's a universal tracking system and it picked up his package number? I don't know.

Clicked on an ad on FB marketplace that took me to Wayfair's website. I was stoked that the dresser I had been looking at was only $89! Then it asked me to create an account. I had just ordered a bed frame last week and an account wasn't required. I still signed up, bad on me, will probably need to change passwords now. But before I ordered, I realized that the top of my screen said m0ds.com. So I navigated to Wayfair.com, and the same dresser was out of stock and $869. Glad I didn't order sheet seeing a lot of these reviews!

Same for me as for the other complaints. A Wayfair ad on Facebook offers end of season patio swing that I wanted and the price was very good. I ordered and got a confirmation email that said they would email me with tracking/shipping and delivery details. Never got any email again from the fraud. I contacted Paypal and they were no help at all. They said to contact the seller etc. I noticed that the seller was [email protected] on my Paypal statement. I emailed them twice and told them to refund my money and still got absolutely no response and was never shipped my patio swing. I paid/lost $118.92 USD for the patio swing. I contacted Wayfair and sent them a screen shot of the fake Wayfair site and they thanked me for letting them know but could do nothing for me otherwise. A few months later I received a small package in the mail from a Chinese location with no shipping papers or anything and it was addressed to me at my address -- it was a cheap gold necklace that had a "GoodLuck" metal pendant on it. VERY CREEPY!

Ordered patio furniture on flash sale wicker furniture and received a cheap necklace instead from China

Found an ad on Facebook for very low priced items like a 3500w portable generator for $49.98 or a exercise bike for $99.98. Shipping was very cheap. I though that this might be a scam but I took a chance. Next day I got a confirmation email that the item was shipped and it listed both my billing and shipping addresses as well as the 2 tracking numbers. As I'm tracking these items for almost 2 weeks now, one tracking number still says shipping label created and item on way to post office. The other tracking number says the item was shipped and finally after 2 weeks it says the item was delivered but to a mailbox in Okemos, MI (Michigan) although the shipping address on confirmation say it was supposed to be shipped to New Jersey. Further looking at the tracking info, it has item listed as envelope with small packets... Definitely a scam... Please be aware

I too came across a Facebook advertisement for what looked like a Wayfair site selling outside Swing Chairs and Chaise Lounges for $49.98. I was over the top excited because these particular chairs I've been wanting to buy from the actual Wayfair site. I had suspicions because I thought the price was too good to be true but still the site looked legit and thought maybe this was a clearing house getting ready for the next season. I was also able to use Paypal to purchase. I did receive emails with confirmation of my orders and a message stating that I would get notified when items would be sent. Days later no email notification of shipment or tracking number. I messaged both sites asking for shipment date and tracking and received no response what so ever. Needless to say.. I called Paypal and requested refunds reporting the sites as scams. What's amazing to me is Facebook literally creeps on everyone and has no issues banning anything their political views don't agree with and yet they allow these sites to take advantage of people? Be aware sites were called FASTORY and FUNNYLOVING. Lesson learned.

thought I was on Wayfair - didn't realize it was fraudulent until PayPal receipt

Scammed today, just like the post above. It was outdoor patio furniture, for $88 with tax $99! I contacted PayPal and my credit card company to cancel the card immediately. I should have known...now you do.

Thank you for sharing. I saw the ad link on Facebook. Thought products were priced awfully low. Thought to myself, naw this is probably a scam. So again thank you for the warning.

please warn public of many fraudulent sellers on Facebook that then uses PayPal and you never receive product or refund. the seller gives tracking that canr be tracked and receipts of delivery to people that do not exist.

Followed a Facebook ad link and purchased a gazebo as a “flash sale” item. Never received an email confirmation of order, though payment transaction went through almost immediately. Became suspicious as email address was not a business email but what looked like a personal email. I sent an email inquiry to “Clint Franklin” but received no response. I was able to eventually find my way back to the website through the Facebook ad. The Website has a “Wayfair” banner but is not Wayfair (this should have been my first clue as to the legitimacy of the site but I was not thinking) so it was difficult to find again. I messaged the “Company” 3 times through the website since yesterday and have received no responses. My order shows only as “pending.” Everything about this screams fake and I’m embarrassed I didn’t notice all the red flags when I made the “purchase.” My last message through the website told them if I did not hear back by the end of today I would report them and asked them to cancel the order and refund my money and still no response. The website address is “mupjta.com” but presents as “Wayfair”. The bottom of the website says “Copyright 2021 Online Home store for Furniture, Decor, Outdoors and more.” The Facebook ad says Warsame Culay Media”. None of the names match - what even is the name of this company? I cannot tell. Because it is almost definitely a scam.
