There was a job posting on social media for data entry paying $35/hr. I was tagged in it to apply by a family member. I messaged the girl who posted and she sent a telegram link. I messaged and they introduced themselves asking what job I was applying for. I answered his questions and he asked who did I bank with and if they offer mobile banking. After I answered his questions, he hired me 20 minutes later. They then asked for my name, address and email so they can send my work materials. I didn’t receive anything and they never made clear what I would be receiving. A fellow applicant was sent a check to print and deposit into her account to buy her work materials. Her check wouldn’t take it because it was a fake.
