3714. No last name was given, and no account number was provided, I
have not received an official letter in the mail, and I have no
outstanding debts to my knowledge that would require litigation. I
also have a lock on my social security number to prevent fraud, as my
employer University of California, Merced, has had a data breach and
we were informed that our personal information was leaked to the
dark web. They called me on 8/16/24 on my cell phone at 11:22 am. I
did not answer because I didn't know the number, and when I looked
up the number on Google, it said the company was spam. They left a
message for me or my lawyer to contact them, but did not provide
specific information as to why, so I blocked the number and listed it as
Spam in case they call me again. Then, Whitney called and left a
message with a friend, and called my son that they were looking for
me and my lawyer as I owe a substantial amount of money. My son
called me worried, and I reminded him not to answer numbers he did
not know. I do not list my son's or friends' information on any of my
financial information. I am unsure how they got my son's and friends'
numbers. This is harassment of spam and I wanted to report them. I also reported this to the FBI Spam website, and made a police report with my Police Department.
