The person called and said he was from Publishers Clearing House and asked for my address and someone will be at my house to bring me a check from

Publishers Clearing House.

I have been getting phone calls daily from the same guy stating that I won money and a car. The first call said $20,000,000.00. Then the amount of money started changing and went down to $3.5 million dollars and a new car. I have been blocking the numbers but he starts calling from other numbers. I tell him that I am reporting him but it does not stop him from calling. He knows my name. He stated that the car and money will be delivered to my address. If he knows my name and my address, what else does he know about me?

- Toms River, NJ, USA

Called and spoke with a gentleman telling me I had won a lump sum of 275k and $1000 a week. He confirmed basic information which he did already know, in hindsight I wish I didn’t confirm the info he had said, however he was already privy to my name, DOB, and mailing address. Also have a voicemail from a woman to call this number which was different from the number they had called from (845)719-1468 . I also called Publishers Clearing House customer service and did confirm that the person I spoke with was not a member of their company.

- Cherry Hill, NJ, USA

I didn’t return the call as I knew it had to be a scam but want to report it.

Received a call from 267-527-1293 asking me if I remembered entering the sweepstakes. The man making the call sounded as if he was on oxygen. I could hear other callers in the background. Gave me a number to call a "manager" for instructions to claim the prize. Asked me to verify my address and I hung up. They called back and the moment I asked to have my number removed he hung up on me.

I have just gotten a call from someone claiming that i have won 5,000,000 and a new Mercades and that I needed to go to the dollar store to get the paper work. They then gave me a number to call and said to ask for John Malone, I was bored so I played along and called the number I knew right away it was a scam.

Scammer called from: 876-545-2997 - caller id said the call was coming from Kingston, Jamaica.

Scammer identified himself as "James Cooper" from Publisher's Clearing House and said we won $4,000,000 plus a 2024 Mercedes. He provided the names of the "prize patrol": Danielle Lam, Todd Sloane, and Dave Sayer. He gave the confirmation number, the winning ticket number, and badge number.

He said we had to send a $2200 cashiers check to a "Thelma" at the IRS in order to receive the rest of the prize money.

We stayed on the phone with him so we could get all of his information. Then told the guy that there's a special place in hell for him, and hung up. He called right back, and we blocked the number.

Called me and told me I won 5.5 million with getting 10,000 a week I need to get a money card from Walgreens at the costs of $500.00 cash x 2 = 1000.00 for processing fees to get the check also I need to meet me at my bank before it closes to process the check. Once I have the money card they wanted the numbers on the back of the card. The number from this impersonator 516 405 4817.

I hope you can stop them

Thanks

Received a call on 07/31/2023 from a man with a foreign accent stating his name was Todd Sloan. He told me he was calling from publishers clearing house and that I won 3.5 million dollars, but I had to pay him an $8000 processing fee. He gave me an account # ********* and told me there was money being held at the federal reserve bank in my name and I had to call them at 914-292-9044 press 1 and give them my account number to access the money. He said I had to pay him the fee first. I disconnected the call.

I’ve received 2 calls, so far. 516-279-3374 from Garden City NY and 747-300-3417 from Los Angeles. Went straight to voicemail. I knew it was a scam when I listened to the messages. One of the numbers given to call back to was a plumber’s phone number according to my Google search!

- New Providence, NJ, USA

Scammer left a message on my answering machine, said she was from Publisher's Clearing House, that I had won $2.5 million. The phone number she told me to call was (866) 828-8972.

A couple of calls said I won 4.5 million. Another one said 2 Billion. I said it is hard to win when I did not enter PCH contest. Then I blocked the number on my phone. Then, I received a voice mail message from a David Wells, Compliance Officer, Fraud, Washington D.C.. (202-370-7668)

Mr. Wells said my winnings was about to expire and I could file a petition for an extension (through him). At this point, I ended the call and called my BBB.

Over the last couple of days, I've been talking to a man, Lu Chen/Chen Lu, who says he works for Publisher's Clearing House. He said I had won $17 million and a Mercedes Benz, and $5,000 a week for life. He has an accent, not quite British, not quite Jamaican. And his What's App and phone numbers look like Jamaica. He knew my birth date and address. He asked if I wanted it to be public or private. He asked if I was married. He said they would come in person, with two sheriffs and the highway patrol. He's been real friendly. He asks about my Pomeranian dog that I bought from Petland, and how lucky I am, and what I will do with the money. He said I would have to pay taxes on the money right off the bat. He asked me if I had any taxes due. I told him I was still trying to get caught up from last year when I got behind. He asked I if had received anything from the IRS saying how much I owed, and I said yes. He said they would need a copy of it by taking a picture of it and sending it to him. I haven't done it. He asked me to send him $500 by PayPal for the taxes. I said no, then he said $400, I said no. Then he said $300, and he would cover the $200. His numbers are: 876-535-7739 & 602-500-4658. He says he's in Phoenix, AZ, and his ID number 8100mgs. Hi other email is [email protected].

They stated if I send 499 to paid for FDIC I would get 7000 every week and I would get 3.5 million in a certified check and a 2022 Mendez

They want me to give them my debit card number

Person Identified themselves as calling from publishers clearing house, states I "won" money. Attempts to obtain information. I have repeatedly recieceved these calls at all hours of the day and night. There is no address or e mail . The form you provide on this site does not let one proceed, without putting in this information. The actual number they called from is 702-552-9454.

I have received four calls today from a man with an accent from Publishers Clearing House. He can hardly speak English. He cannot pronounce "Ohio". The number is a 346 area code. He said I've won $950,000 and a Mercedes Benz. He asked for my bank routing number so he could get me the money right away. He kept congratulating me, and I kept asking questions. I talked to him for 30 minutes.

The Scammer called my CELL PHONE and said I had won $7,900,000 by Certified Check Plus $5,000/week in CASH, delivered in a Brief Case with a "PIN CODE" to open it, for Life from The PCH (Publishers Clearing House). His Name was JAMES AUTHOR and the Badge # on his shirt was "JA00216 Ext. 7". The Company's Chief Exec. Officer was Dave Sayer. He said they had 2 ways of Delivering the Prize TODAY; a PUBLIC Delivery with lots of Camera People and a PRIVATE Delivery which he highly Recommended that I take AFTER I told him I wanted the PUBLIC Delivery. He tried to scare me away from the PUBLIC DELIVERY by saying a lot of bad things that could result from a PUBLIC Delivery where I would be on TV and in The News. James said that 99% of the TAXES had been Paid but I owed 1% which was $499.25 and I was to go to a local store and Purchase an American Express VISA Gift Card James insisted on staying on my CELL Phone with me the entire time including driving to the store! 505-805-8353 New Mexico called 5 times and "RESTRICTED" called 2 times after I HUNG-UP on him.

Some called me and toll me that I had just won two and half million dollars and a Mercedes-Benz, then toll me to go and get the American Express gift cards for 500 @450 dollars, I said shore. So I called the BBB.com to ask if knew of any scams, they toll me to not respond to it. Please look out for this.
