I got a call from Don Peterson who said he was with Publisher's Clearing House. The calls went on for a week. He said I won $2.5 million and a new car. He told me to go to Walmart and buy a money card for $400 because I had to have the check delivered to my state. He wanted to know if I was willing to go on TV when they give me the money, or kept quiet. I said out in the open. he said, "OK that's your call". He asked if I lived alone. I said yes. He asked what I would do with the money, I said I would build a handicap friendly home for myself. I told him I would not get a money card. He called me an SOB. There was a picture of a girl, Danielle, on a suitcase full of money on Facebook. They said I should go to Walmart and get a money card. I said I'm crippled and don't drive. When I finally got back to them, they asked why it took me so long. I said Walmart is across town. I heard a man in the background saying "Hang up hang up". He said excuse me. When he came back, he called me an SOB and said I had posted an alert on Facebook telling everyone they are a scam. he said you are4 an SOB and told me to _ myself. One of them had gone on my Facebook because he knew I had a daughter.

Received a call saying I had won the grand prize in the monthly sweepstakes from an entry I made several years ago. It didn't sound strange until they asked me to go to Walmart and pay the IRS the taxes on the auto they were delivering. They said I had to have the document that I had paid this so they could deliver the car and the cashiers check. They sad that I could not speak to anyone about the winning until after I took delivery on the items I had won. I came home and started doing research and called publishers clearing house. They said that all activity should be reported if it seemed to be a fraud. They had asked for my drivers license number to register the car and for the bank that I would be using to cash the check. They even explained that I would have to have taxed taken out of the check when it was deposited. They confirmed my home address for delivery. So, they have the bank I use...my license number...and my home address. I think they wanted to use the transaction on the money at Walmart to get my social security number. I hope they do not have enough info to cause me any problems.

I received a call from Publisher’s Clearing House. A guy named Andrew goldburgh. He said I won 17k. And a2019 Mercedes Benz. And He was going to deliver it to my house and I had to pay 12500 dollars. When he delivered the check and car I’m afraid it is a scam he is going to call back Monday. What should I do

Answered my phone and it was Publishers Clearing House and I need to send a Registration and a Delivery fee of $270 to an address in New Jersey to claim my prize of $150,000 and $25,000 a week for the rest of my life.

I received a call from an automated message around 12:20pm EST on 5-31-19 from a (male voice) alleging to be with Publisher's Clearing House and that I had won money (a big number). They said to contact agent David Williams 877-335-4805. They gave me a claim number 25122US. It sounded legit the way he described it, he gave some specific certification stuff. The recording voice was very clear.

Called to tell me that I had won 2.5 million and new Mercedes!

- Pleasantville, NJ, USA

saying u won large sums of money. Have many people calling from different agency and sound very official.

Donald Peterson called claiming to be from Publishers Clearing House. He stated that I had won 2.5 million dollars and a 2018 Mercedes-Benz tax-free. I needed to go to CVS or Walgreens and purchase a $25 Amazon gift card to certify my winnings. Donald asked me for my cell phone number, which I gave. He sent me a photo of a stack of money.

I received a call a few years ago, and then today around 10:30a.m. EST on 4-12-19. He said he was in Las Vegas and his name Dave Sayer. And they told me that I was the first prize winner, and gave me an ID number. The prize would be $5000 a week for life and $10,750,000 and 5 1/2 million check and a pearl white Mercedes Benz and give gasoline for life, license for the vehicle, insurance for the vehicle and a warranty on the vehicle if anything went bad they would take it back and give me a new one.

Then the next thing he told me was I would owe tax to $7,500, and I said I would owe that to the government and he said no and that this was the prize tax. And that I had to Fed Ex a cashier's check and that I needed to show them receipt. And they wanted to know which bank I would go to and I said I didn't know, and they seemed a bit leery and gave them a name of national bank. And we hung up and then they keep calling me back and now they say they are going to cancel the prize because they didn't think I treated them well. So, I am not getting my Mercedes and all that money. He knew my name, and he asked me the question if I lived in a gated community if there would be someone who could give access, and I don't I live in the country. He knew my address. He asked if I had any debts, and he wanted to know if I owed the IRS anything.

Received a letter and check stating that I am a second place winner, in the 100 Million Dollars Super Cash Giveaway Promotion. Sponsored by Readers Digest, Mega Millions and Multi-State Lottery Association. I received a check for $7,600 and to call the above number before I deposit it into my account. I called the number and asked for Patricia Evans or Daniel Rogers. I was told to deposit the check first and then called her back. I was curious and looked up the name of the company on the check (Phillips Workplace Interiors, Inc. It is a furniture company. It makes furniture for companies. I also called the bank that was on the check (Mid Penn Bank). Gave the representative the routing # and account #. The representative told me it was a fraudulent check and to shred it. Reporting this just in case others have received the same letter and check.

I received a call from this number and they said they were publisher's clearing house checking to see if I got the information they sent me. I said I received nothing, was not interested, and hung up. I called the number back out of curiosity and it said I was calling Jamaica.

I was contacted late Saturday afternoon by a man named David Sawyer. He claimed to the the Prize Director for Publisher Clearing House and informed me that I was a Sweepstakes winner of four million, five hundred thousand dollars plus a brand new Mercady Benz car. During the entire conversation he continual congratulated me for being a winner and that he would be contacting me each day now to help me meet all the deadlines and paper work need to claim the prize. He said where the prize was larger than what the FDIC normally insures at a bank where the prize money would be deposited that I would be required to pay $7500 for insurance on this increased amount. He also said in the information he sent me notifying me of the prize that I would be liable for $25,000 to the IRS for Sweepstakes Taxes and that I would send the money to the IRS using Western Union or Walmart Direct deposit or mail. He gave me the names of four PCH representatives that would be coming to my home on Oct 10th to deliver the prize check. He also ask me to keep this information about being a winning a secret until the prizes were awarded. In the information he sent me there was a letter from the BBB signed by a financial officer to further legitimize this fraud. I contacted my BBB early the following Monday and they confirmed my suspicions that this was indeed a scam. When David called later Monday morning to give me further instruction how to send the $7500 to the FDIC, which he wanted me to do immediately, I told him that I was going to contact the main headquarter of PCH to authenticate this prize winning first. When I told him that he hung up the phone on me and I have not heard back from him.

This is not the real publishers clearing house they sent my elderly grandmother a check for 7,800.00 that was fake if she would have deposited it they would have gotten all of her account information and would have drained her account luckily the bank teller was nice enough to tell her... So anyone gets this do not deposit it into your account it is fraud...

My mother had been contacted via phone by a person representing himself as being from the ScamPulse.com of New York and claims that the BBB in partnership with Publisher's Clearing House has a reserved prize for the recipient if the recipient will call a designated number to arrange for delivery of the prize. Further investigation with the BBB local chapter (Dayton, Ohio) revealed that no such partnership exists.

They have been using a lady that lives in the same small town I do to message me through FB messenger. I knew they were scammers, but went ahead & tried to get more info from them. They tell me, through my friends messenger that my name was on a list to claim free money. They sent me a number to text to get further instructions, of course I did not do that. They keep asking if I’ve contacted an agent yet.

Received a phone call from Jack Freeman badge number BOA 2675, claiming I won 2.5 million dollars from Publisher's Clearing House. The consumer had to withdraw $2000 and take the money to Walmart to do a money transfer. $1000 was used for FDIC and the other $1000 I was allowed to keep. Mr. Jack Freeman had last four digits of my savings account. The consumer had to give a password to communicate with Mr. Jack Freeman.

I have been receiving calls everyday 876-536-0496 for about 2-3 weeks now, maybe around the beginning of February 2018. When they call they say they are from Publishers Clearing House and that you've won a 2018 BMW and that my mom won 5 billion or something like that. It was a man calling they wanted $500 for the taxes and stuff before they would give us the 5 billion. His name was John Mcilisget he had an accent his manager is Pete Washington. He said I had to go to Walmart and send it Western Union.

I received this letter and check in mail yesterday and the check looks legitimate, but was afraid to cash it. Then went online to PCH and read what to look for if scam. PCH said they would not send a check in mail unless certified mail needing my signature, plus they would have their name on check.

I want to make others aware of this recent scam and hopefully find the real source of it.

Thank you!
