Academic Financial Services Reports & Reviews (1)

I was looking for assistance in resolving a student loan debt for The Art Institute of Colorado, which closed in 2018. I received a text message from a representative and then spent the next 1 1/2 hours talking about my experiences at the school. I was informed there are thousands of people going after this institution because of predatory lending practices. I trustingly gave the representative my personal information and the access to sign onto my Federal Student Aid account, believing she was able to assist me. After signing the paperwork and scheduling a follow-up call for August 29th, with (hesitant) intent to pay in four installments of $280.00 monthly for their services. Today, after talking with a colleague in the Attorney General's office and my family member working for the Department of Education, I was informed this organization was a scam. Upon further research and the findings, it is a scam. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office of Colorado, Federal Student Aid, the State of Colorado Governor's office, and now the BBB.
