They said to be a legal attorney representing St. Joseph Hospital and that they were reaching out to me regarding an unpaid medical bill from 2014. They asked to take payment for a total of $1680 to stop the delivery of a legal letter saying that I going to be served. They had my information regarding my stay at the hospital in 2014 as a patient. They had my personal address, last 4 numbers of SSN, and account number.

Unfortunately I thought that this was legitamite because I was already having issues with my credit, I proceeded to give them banking information which was in my boyfriends name. They then sent me an email agreeing to pay $421 for 4 months to pay the debt. I did not sign it so they called me the next day, I didn't answer, so they called my boyfriends dad trying to locate me and then called my boyfriend.

When we did not agree to pay and I said I need to verify this debt they continued to tell me that they were moving forward with serving papers, he gets upset with me saying Im becoming aggressive when I was refusing to pay until I verified they debt. He hung up on me and called my boyfriend saying he was going to sue him instead because he was listed as my husband on file. My boyfriend says that they knew his whole social security number. We are not sure how they had that when I never released any information with his social.

Ackerman and Associates: They said to be a legal attorney representing St. Joseph Hospital in Houston and that they were reaching out to me regarding an unpaid medical bill. They asked to be sent a money order/ cashier's check for $2384.18 to stop the delivery of a legal letter saying that I going to be served. They had my information regarding my stay at the hospital in 2016 as a patient. They had my personal address, last 4 numbers of SSN, account number, date of birth and phone number.

After some research online, St. Joseph Hospital in Houston had a press release saying that their database had been hacked. Probably that is where they got all the information. Three more calls followed from a person named Tony Valencia from Harris County Processing services (832-225-6433) saying that if I was not going to call the attorney I was going to be served paper the following day. Immediately I called St. Joseph Hospital and they could no longer locate mi information. That is when I dismissed the request.
