Received call from "AETNA" and asked to enter the phone number they called for verification. Weary of scammers I hung up, and called the back of my AETNA card and the number they were calling me from did not belong to them.

I received a call saying this is from Aetna prescription benefits. I do have Aetna, but not the prescription benefit. It asked for my zip code, citing, that they have important information for me. It also knew my first and last name.

- Collingswood, NJ, USA

I had an automated voicemail claiming to be AETNA. It gave me a number to call back regarding an important Pharmacy benefit. It wanted me to provide my 10 digit phone number. When I called back, it already knew who I was but wanted me to answer Yes it was me. It asked me to enter my zip code before asking if I planned on renewing my prescription medication and then telling me about a free phone number to call, (800) 556-1555, to get free advice on how to take my prescription medication.

An email showed up thanking me for this purchase. Then a description of the product and amount charged. Then a phone number to call if I had questions.
