Ayant appeller amazon le site M as offert une offre pour prime à vie au montant de 269.00 a vie
Digital Smart

I received a call from a person named John telling me my account was going to be charged $299.99 for a full year subscription. I don't even have Amazon prime. I had to open an app called (Anydesk) and fill out a form to end my supposed subscription. Then I was asked to open my bank account through Google to see if my info had changed in my bank account. They had the nerve to ask me how much monet was in my account! I did not say and asked what business is it of yours. I did call my bank and have the incident on file with them. Thank you.

Phone call was a recorded message about an Amazon Prime account that was supposedly in difficulties. The recording said to press 1 (one) to speak with someone. No one here has an Amazon account.

I got three calls wanting me to renew an amazon prime account that I don't have.

I checked with amazon and they said it is a scam.

I had a hard time finding customer service phone number on my Amazon account and gave a fast google search for such number. I needed to discuss an undelivered order with Amazon and ask for the needed ordered items. I found the +1-808-762-6357 number that was advertised as Amazon Prime customer service. Since I was in a hurry to make it to a meeting, I called without verifying the authenticity of the accessed weblink. I told the interlocutor my issue with my order and then he offered to give me a refund, even if I told him that I would be more interested in getting the needed items than money. He asked me if my Amazon account has a checking account, which I found weird. I said NO, and then he insisted that a refund is only made via a checking account associated to the Amazon account. I said that I don't want to associate any checking account to Amazon, plus that I want him to send me the items I need. He hang up on me! I then realized that is a scam. I reported them to Amazon. I also tried reporting them to IC3, but since no actual scam was done, I couldn't file my claim.

Phone call from someone claiming to be from Amazon Prime - saying I had to reverse some channels I had inadvertently signed up for. I had already done these cancellation several weeks earlier. He tried to get me to go on his "website" not Amazon and he would walk me through the cancellations. Her knew about my earlier cancellations as well as my address. When I demanded his phone number he gave me a 617-340-5649 number and when we typed that in - it showed it was a nortorius number used by scammers. Don't answer your phone unless you recognize the number.

I have been receiving phone calls from agency claiming that someone took money on my charge; they say I have an account with Amazon Prime (I don't) and I was charged $200 for ordering a phone (I have never made such a purchase). Scammers answered they would help me get my money back; wanted personal details and $299 fee to help me recover my money. I knew it was a scam; they called from: 408-861-3495, 408-286-0166, 614-656-3546, 220-900-1218 - but were disconnected when I would try to call them back.

First, I’m not all knowing of my i-pad or of my Android phone. Second, it was hard to understand the foreign person speaking to me on the phone. Third, my husband had a DR. Appointment which I was driving him to. The Notification that I received about my order was confirmed, there was a phone number also and a description of what I ordered. So I called the number and told them I didn’t order this. He said he was sorry and glad to help to block the scammers. He told me there so many scammer out there in the world. On my phone he wanted me to go my app for Amazon. Because I was having a hard time understanding him. He told me go to google play store app and download for (AnyDesk) which it allowed him to assist my phone and functions, so now he is operating my phone. When I went the Amazon app, I logged in, he deleted the purchase that were in my cart, and bought 3 X-box gift cards totaling $90. Then he told me to give him a minute, that didn’t block the scammers. He asked if I had any gift cards on me. Me: no. Well he said to get my Credit card and debit cards and drivers license together that I would have to go to town to buy more gift cards. He want to know how long it would to get a store in town, I told him about 10 minutes. He also told me not to hang up the phone, let him know when I get in Walgreens parking lot. He instructed me to go in and purchase one gift card( Google Play) for $200, and let him know when I get back. He went on to say that he would reimburse me he just needed to know what charge card I wanted to use. I gave him my the last four digits of my card and I received a text message from Discover saying I would receive a refund regarding the security purchase of $200. has been initiated to my account and will reflect on 2-3 min. once the security will be updated. Regards, Discover Financial Services. He asked if I got the text, yes I did, well congratulations he said, but that gift card did not block the scammers so I would need to buy more gift cards. It progressed from there three more Google play cards at $200 apiece and two Target gift card at $500 apiece. Then it finally dawned on me that he was the scammer.

Received fraudulent call claimed to be from Amazon Prime....

Displays as:

Katherine Glynn

860-729-6433

Verizon wireless

The caller ID showed Potential Scam and it went over to voice-mail. The caller said I had fraudulent charges on my Amazon Prime account of over $500. The recording was choppy and very hard to understand but I got the number I was to call. I called the real Amazon customer service and was told I have no charges on my account. I gave them the 888 phone number. Both the incoming call and return call were 1-888-506-1046. Amazon is also sending me a link to report the call.

I do have not done business with Amazon so there is no possibility of a problem with my account. Yes, I scroll online and look at items on the market, but there should be no connection to me as I was contacted by a machine messenger on my landline. I hung up shortly after answering after hardly attempting to make sense of their "concern".

I wonder if the phone number above was spoofed(?) as I understand that the area code originated in Alaska.

He wanted my bank account to put money back in for the purchase refund. I said just refund credit card. Said he couldn't do it that way. So he said I would lose $ 3,000 because there was actually 2 sent. So I started to put bank info in and changed my mind. He put another guy on phone Wayne Marcus 209-317-0314. Said that bank acct was only way to get refund. So I hung up. Went to bank and banker said to change username and password. on my acct. Which I did. Never heard anything more. Also, bank guy said to get my computer wiped clean from Best Buy.

Constantly receives emails from company or individual claiming to be amazon primes issues with payment

They called me and asked if I ordered something for over 600.00 hundred dollars. It said press 1 to talk to someone and I did. I know I don’t even have a account with Amazon. I told them that and they hung up.

Someone called my elderly parents from this number asking about $450 overdue account with Amazon Prime. They don't have an Amazon account. They hung up and called me.

Long post: I just experienced a proper hack attempt, watch out friends! Here’s what went down. I got a call for “Amazon Prime” that they will charge me to renew my prime membership. I thought that was funny because my membership expires in January. So I thought perhaps Isiah opened a new Amazon prime account (again) and so I wanted to cancel. They walked me through the cancelation process suggesting I needed to fill out a form and I needed to be connected to their servers. They had me download software so I could get connected to their servers (already I said this was an interesting way to get a refund), but still I went ahead (in hindsight I should’ve hung up 2 or 3 steps ago at this point). I filled out the form and hit submit. I get a message that a refund of $4000 will post to my account. It was supposed to be $40, not $4000, but this was a sneaky way to get me to log into my bank account. At this time the hacker is also an actor and acts up that he will be fired, asked me to talk to his boss to explain, asks me to write down a 30 digit confirmation number. The call drops, I get a call back right away. Meanwhile as the actor/hacker is distracting me, someone is in my computer, on the back-end, altering my bank html web page, right before my eyes trying to change the display as if that 4000 deposit indeed had been made (ultimately no, I did not get a random 4K today, bummer). I said “whoa, wait, someone is in the backend of my computer, I’m disconnecting now...” we get disconnected again and I get no call back. I rushed to my bank, canceled my debit card (the form asked for the last 4-digits). Uninstalled that trouble portal and sharing with you so this doesn’t happen to you. Yikes. Seems like a long drawn out way to access real money from fools like me digitally and online without a trace....cyber security friends, secure yourself.

Caller said my bank account was charged $199 for Amazon prime and if I give them my email address, I would received forms to fill out to stop this charge from happening..i did not give info

They were rude and hung up

Foreign accent

This number has called a bunch lately, answered today, was automated saying i was being thanked for an Amazon Prime subscription. I had done no such thing, I don't even have a phone number listed on my account. I changed my password anyway just to be safe.

Said bank was debited 117.00 for subscription though you either already canceled or never had it. Then after guiding you through the app to download which was (anydesk) you would put in refund amount of 117.00. It would show refund of 11,700.00 instead. They would act all scared and upset then say they would talk to their manager. Then they would tell you to subtract the 117.00 from the 11700.00 and ask you for a debit card number. I called my bank instead while I put them on hold and when confronted by my bank they hung up.
