I called Amazon about a recent order I purchase. The agent was suppose to be helping me to create a shipping label to return the order. Sent a link to my phone to approve or deny it was my account. While in my account they redeem $50 of my gift card balance and purchase a Xbox digital gift card.

Scanner sent text to say restore amazon account. Message said new login detected and to restore click link.

I received a text message from someone saying I owed a bill from amazon for $1139.99. I do not have an Amazon account and called the number back to inquire why I received the message. I asked that they send me a copy of the purchase and the man said he couldn't send me any documentation to prove the purchase. I told him he was a fraud and hung up.

I've gotten three calls. Yesterday, it was automated and said my Amazon account was being charged $900 in Dayton and if I disagreed press 1. I spoke to an Indian man who was telling me to do things. I said I don't have an Amazon account, and he hung up. Today's message was that the charge was $1000 for a phone.

He said he was from Amazon. He did find out where my package went. He locked in on my phone and created a cash app account in my name and took me for $135.00. cash app refuses to do anything about it.

contacted through messenger hiring for work at home Amazon Customer service and needs you to buy a $50.00 Amazon card and she wants to know when you go so she can be on the phone with you when you get the card she wants you to take a picture of the card and the receipt

I received an email from Amazon (it looked legit) telling me someone was attempting to access my account and I should change my password. It said to follow the link below, which I did. I changed my password and shortly thereafter, noticed a $100 gift card purchase on my Amazon account. I promptly changed my password again and notified Amazon and my bank. Amazon was not helpful to say the least. In fact after three phone calls to them to remedy the situation, i.e. get my money back, all I got was the run around, being put on hold, lip service, "we're working on resolving this issue, etc.". However, nothing was done, the money is still gone. I can't believe in this modern world that Amazon doesn't have a process in place for these situations. It's about customer service, and all I got was a long time spent on hold, and the run around. I truly think they are hoping I will just drop it due to the many minutes on hold, no real action, and dropped calls. Also, I noted they didn't say they couldn't help, there were assurances that they could, but nothing has been done.

I am 70 yrs old. I wanted to purchase a radiator and condenser from Amazon. So I googled the phone number for them. I called 888-241-5497. I spoke to a man with a foreign accent. He said he had a radiator/condenser for $198. He said he could help me. I gave him my Capital One card to pay for it, but he said it was declined but to go buy two Amazon gift cards for $100 each. He told me to go to Walgreens. I went but they didn't have them. Then he told me to go to Walmart and buy two Google Play Cards for $100 each. The clerk did not ask me why I was buying the cards. I sent him a picture of the cards with the security numbers scratched off. he told me he was transferring me to Rodney in billing. Rodney asked if I had a Cash App, which I gave him. There was noting in the Cash App. He hung up. T-Mobile reset my phone. I called Capital One, and they said a charge was pending for $200.

Received a voicemail saying my Amazon Account was Fraudulent. So I checked my Credit card attached to it and there was a charge pending. So I thought it was legit so I called them.

He proceeded to tell me I’m wanted in Texas for steeling a car, Launderings money, and Drug Trafficking. He knew all my Credit cards and Banks I use. No numbers though. Told me if I hang up before I get this resolved I’m admitting I to the crimes and he will have the local police come and arrest me and it will stop my social security . As we were talking the Local police number came up on my caller ID. So I panicked and hung up. We got disconnected from my call. They tried calling several times over and over. Also, so did the police numbers as well.

I went to that police department and they said IF there was any warrant they will come find me NOT call me.

These scammers used a buffer number to call. The police had No record of calling my number.

Strange thing I found out after is that they called my daughters cell phone 10 min before me. I was at work and she lives 1 hour away. But on her phone that number came up Scam Risk but not on mine.

Contacted by iMessage and claiming to be Amazon support. Gave a security warning and warned that if I didn’t restore my account with the link given (which was very clearly not a link to Amazon), that my account would be terminated permanently.

I got a text message saying an order placed from Amazon for $1152, and if it wasn't me to call 866-313-1145. Spoke to two different Indian men who I could hardly understand. He told me to download Anydesk onto my phone and I did. He asked me to click on the credit card I have on file with Amazon. And I did. He put money on the card and took it back off.

Trying to get me to confirm purchase of an apple computer.

I received a call from amazon or so they said it is an electronic voice record saying that my Amazon account would be charged $1000. I attempted to call back the number once and it said that the mailbox was full. Called a second time and a lady picked up the phone I asked if she worked with amazon as it was just a hello greeting. She did not and we talked about how they got our numbers. I am concerned as back at the beginning of the year Amazon charges showed up on my account and I have never purchased off amazon.

I received a call stating that an Iphone 13 had been charged to my amazon account and to press 1 for more information. I hung up.

Claimed my account was hacked and sent a code to my phone to give to them to fix the problem claimed I was charged $900 and if I gave them my personal info I can have it resolved, the number I called they answered pretty quickly and there was no wait time which is unusual for Amazon.

Hi, my name is ******. I had a supposed amazon call from a representative trying to state someone was trying to purchase a Mac computer for $1500. I obviously have no cards on my account and I already knew it was a scam. But when I told them I knew it was a scam the guy asked me where I was at and told me he would find me and in his words “where are you now? I will **** you up you h**” and I told him I had a cop next to me and he said “**** the police I don’t care about your stupid police you dumb ****” and I told him I’d report him to the better business bureau and he told me he didn’t care and continued to make death threats to me. This NEEDS to be taken care of! Thanks!

Received a text stating order placed AMX2345DX-CXO for Matterport MC250 Pro2 Professional Camera $112.00 will be auto deducted from your card. not you? Call us 1866-520-1352

07/24/22 I got text message from a odd "number* ****************************************** * this being the number I somehow got a message from anyways I clicked the link believing it was actually Amazon protecting me from being hacked. But after I went through the steps I began getting odd charges to my bank account which were labeled as hc_charge. Starting at 16 and some change then slowly lowering the amount on several more charges by the same name ( hc_charge ). They also were able to send 60 dollars to a chime account as well before the bank finally contacted us and shut the card down. It's approximately 120 dollars total
