Amazon Reports & Reviews (921)

Caller ID read Unavailable for information from scam number 1-254-355-9708 where the person stated they are from Amazon collecting payment of almost $2k for a Iphone. They should be ashamed preying on old people in a nice neighborhood.

We have the conversation recorded.

Only personal identifiable information lost was the confirmation to name they had ask to confirm it was the person on the phone with.

I have placed the phone number that was contact by the scammers on the do not call registry so unsure why they are still able to aquire and call the number.

I received an email from Amazon saying an invoice was ready for a 13" Apple Mac Pro Notebook and to call 877-325-1349 if I had a question about the bill. The order was to be delivered today. I called and spoke to a young man. He sounded unprofessional, and asked for my credit card number, or at least the last 4 digits. I refused. He said he would get a manager. I hung up and called Amazon who told me to report the email to BBB.

I received a text message saying that my card was charged $899.99 MacBook Air at Amazon, order id # and today’s date (not a purchase number) then it said; if you DO NOT

(broken English) please contact us (and they provided the number). When I called them they wanted to know what the text said that I received, yet I didn’t say that I received it by text? I asked them what card was used? then they wanted to know my name to look it up? I said that they must know my name since they said that my card was used? Then he wanted the order is # which I gave, then they wanted my last name? Again I said you contacted me you tell me what my name is? Then he started getting frustrated and I said never mind I will call Amazon myself and hung up the phone. He had a very strong foreign accent and spoke English fairly well.

I might add they never identified what card was used when I initially asked him, and it sounded like a scam.

I then logged onto my Amazon account and it showed that I haven’t made a purchase from them for 3 months.

My daughter received a text message from 272-359-5333 that states " Your balance will be debited by $566.50 for your recent purchase order ID#152222. Contact **n on 18337599347 if you haven't made any purchase.

I called the number twice and both representatives answered AMAZON - so I told them about the text - I was then asked to read the entire text to them and the amount and I asked why? I said I will give you the order number and YOU can tell me what I ordered. I gave the number and they both hung up. I even stated "you should be able to tell me what I ordered and the total with the order number unless this is a scam" and the call ended.

I did not release any personal information and I am sure that they were attempting to get money

Consumer informed that they were going to be charged $1440 for the merchandise they had ordered from their account. Consumer does not do any business with Amazon no info was provided.

I received a call from a scammer posing as a representative with Amazon on Monday, November 29, 2021. I was informed by a male caller that I ordered a product from Amazon, but I didn't purchase anything from Amazon. I told the person to not deliver the product to my home. I am requesting these types of calls be monitored and shared with others during the holiday season.

Received a call asking if I had made a purchase from Amazon for $1500. When I said No, they said ok I can help you. They had me download an app where they could assist me by putting the money back into my checking account (this app allowed them to see what I was doing). Red flag my online purchases are paid by cc so why would you put it in my bank account. However, they were very persistent saying they were only helping me. They went so far as taking me to bank zeller account where I could transfer $ to them. They gave me a name and gmail account to transfer the money. They said they were only helping and you had to do this to get your money back. Even thought I keep saying this just can’t be right - I fell for the scam. FYI, Amazon never makes a call asking if you made a purchase. I had to change my Amazon password, cancel my credit card and close out banking account. Because I had actually approved the money transfer through Zeller via my bank account the bank could not refund my money.

If you get an email like this don't call them! It is NOT from Amazon and when you call they just want to get your information so they can purchase online items. The guy cussed me out when I told him I thought he was trying to scam me.

I try call Amazon. I got this number online. Called and they said someone try buy a iphone for 499.99. so now they want me to buy a gift card to fix this problem. They downloaded stuff into my phone.

I received an email stating that m account has been locked and all pending orders have been halted because the billing information did not match the information on file with the card issuer.

Consumer was contacted by phone saying they were Amazon and that his account was hacked. The person on the other end sounded foreign and said his name was Mark Nelson. He said to consumer he wanted to set up a trap to catch the hacker. The guy wanted him to send $999.99 as bait. He wanted consumer to send bit coins first. Then the scammer told consumer to go to the bank in person to draw up the papers.

The bank manager is the one who told consumer he was being scammed.

I DID NOT ORDER THIS. I DONT KNOW THIS PERSON IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE DELIVERED TO.

The caller identified themselves as "Amazon", and asked for my authorization of a ~$740 bill, which I never submitted to them. I haven't used amazon in years.

This is the second time I’ve got a phone call saying that my Amazon account had suspicious activity and an iPhone 11 was purchased they put a hold on it in an effort to try and get all my information so that they could then use my identity and credit card information later

The message says unauthorized charge on your account please contact Amazon customer Care representative thank you.so far they have used 10 different phone numbers that I have kept track of

I was contacted by Amazon and said that I owed them $1,537.35 even though I've never had an Amazon account. They said that if I didn't pay that fraud charges would be filed against me. A woman told me that I could pay through two Wal-Mart gift cards to have the charges taken away. I bought two Wal-Mart gift cards, one for $500 and the other for $300. I took photos of the cards and send them to her. She gave me her employee ID number and my case number. She never called back after I sent the money.

I was contacted by phone from a girl, Jasmine, who claimed to be with Amazon. She even gave me her Amazon employee badge number (AM22074081). Said my account had a suspicious charge. She had given me the names of people who tried to hack my account. David William and Robert Jordan. 1201 Highway Drive, Santa Clara Calif, 92705. Not sure if these are real. She transferred me to a man. His name was Hector and phone number 646-965-6161. Another man also got involved a little later. His name was Jason and was portrayed as a Sr account manager for Amazon. His number is 206-426-4516.

In order to clear the charge to my account, they had a little program pop up and asked me to enter the cost of the charge. I entered 400 but the program changed it to 4000. Now it was portrayed as a bad problem. They found the last 4 digits of my bank account. Not sure how that was done. They also had a screenshot of my checking transactions, which looked like a screenshot, but had the existing balance at the time. (Note: They advise me they had the accounts open for transacting to and I was not to go open them or other problems would occur.) To “fix” this problem, I would need to correct it by buying gift cards. This was done.

The next day I received phone call from Jason. He stated he was a Sr account manger for Amazon. He was contacting me to help correct the accounts. He told me I was going to be compensated for all the issues I had. The amount was to be double of the “mistake”. It was not a simple fix. Their account was a business account and mine was a personal account. They monies could not be transferred directly. I would have to buy gift cards to give to them. They would then apply that to their account and then transfer the amount back to mine. That would then clear the matter up. This was done.

This did not happen.

Since this time, I have received calls from Jasmine and Jason.

I once again had a call left on my phone saying that they were Amazon and were charging my account with $110 and putting it on my account number. I do not have an Amazon account, I don't even know who Amazon is.

there is a scam company that is using amazon as their contact name sending emails saying that the customers account is being suspended unless they verify their information. When the information is put in the individual or individuals are charging the cards in different states and different companies. This particular account they hit belongs to a veteran and it is against the law! They need to be shut down and prosecuted and put in jail!!! we are willing to press charges stand up in court anything need to bring them to justice! They use emails and have attached invoice templates that appear to look real. [email protected] [email protected] is the email information, ?????????????????????account@amazon??.com????? ????
