Call from ************ claiming to be Amazon and not being able to lrocess my payment. Please call them which I did not do.

- Columbus, OH, USA

I received an email on 7.21.21 from Amazon stating my order was shipping to:

*** **** ** *, Battlecreek,MI 49015 from MI

Confirmation Inv# AMZ 297-0752-5569

$955.96

For an: Apple iPhoneXR & a Samsung Galaxy Note

I never ordered either. I do not know anyone in Battlecreek, MI

someone is saying that they are amazon and confirming an order of a gaming laptop to be sent to Tennessee... upon speaking to Amazon, a rep stated that she sees no order on account and there is no order.... and no money was taken out of the bank account

Calling in regards to a confirmation purchase within Amazon. I dont see any orders on my account nor on my bank accounts.

Individual wasn't even sure what he was talking about. Then he communicated me with another person from supposedly my bank but it seems like a scam.

I have been the ‘victim’ of a brushing scam.

I received from Amazon a package containing two dog treat balls.

I did not order these; they have not shown up on my Amazon orders list.

The address was correct but in a slightly different format than what I normally use.

Calls from John and James, both w/accents from Amazon, 726-777-6592, acct hacked, charges incurred, security system that could help deal with charges and find out who made the purchases. I went through this whole thing. I wan't paying attn. They said hackers were active and evident and had 96% of my proflie info inc SS number. They said they could help me make sure this didn't happen again. They asked me questions and I ans'd. I gave him remote control of my computer. I read to him the numbers at the top of my screen. He had me watch a video as to what it mean to have a compromised IP address. The other video I could have watched was on Spy Eye. They said Spy Eye had been detected as well as bad limit which is the amt of money that could be taken, and the way to knock that number out was to buy a number of gift cards. He said someting about a tiny banker trojan. He said 72 hackers were trying to steal my ID. He told me not to turn off my computer and that he would call tomorrow. I told him I couldn't deal with it and hung up and turned off my computer. I called my bank.

- Joplin, MO, USA

I got a call saying that my amazon account was charged $1499.00. They wanted to know if it was fraudulent. I checked my cards associated with that account and there were no charges. I made no purchase in that amount.

- San Jose, IL, USA

fake invoice gave me a number to call for Amazon security I called and that was all it took for them to get into my computer and into my bank they pretended to be looking at someone already in my accounts and that I needed to secure my accounts immediately which led to my buying gift cards & a wire transfer I lost $20K that day

Got a call about owing $5,337 to Amazon. Called the number back and scammer said she was from DFACS. Scam number is 912-687-9936

ROBO calls claiming to be Amazon

Call begins with a recorded message stating the Amazon security department has stopped an order for a $700 computer through my Amazon account due to suspicious activity. Then it says “press 1 to speak to a representative”. I spoke to a male.

When I asked him his name he said it was David Turner & then disconnected me. I received another call from a different number 250-764-2346 with the same recorded message 1/2 an hour later & just hung up.

Reminds me of the CRA scam.

I received a disturbing call yesterday from amazon security. This call was from customer support notifying me of a purchase that I had made for $900 saying if I didn't make the transaction to call the number provided. I do not have an amazon card and never had one. I called the number and it was a foreign person with broken English - I told him I couldn't understand him and he cussed me out and asked me if I understood that and called me a prostitute.

- Euclid, OH, USA

I received eight calls from Amazon yesterday. I do not have the phone number. I could barely hear the person. I owe $729. I never bought anything from Amazon. I do not have an Amazon account. I did not give any information.

I placed an order and got a tracking number for it (let’s say it’s tracking number A) this parcel showed up with the tracking number A and on my account and email that same tracking number is assigned to it.

I received another package I did not order with let’s call it tracking number B and on the Amazon chat they just said it was an error and they had tracking number B for my order.

So they transferred me to a phone call from Amazon. The employee I talked to never heard of the brushing scam which the info about it is posted on their website to call to report it. She confirmed she saw the items I ordered and receive but with tracking number B which is not what I have for my actual order but is what the pack I didn’t order had as a tracking number. It’s like they were hacked as well. I have no idea what’s going on, I changed my password on Amazon and any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I ordered a product from Amazon securely. Received email confirmation from Amazon for my order and shipping tracking. Then 15 minutes later received unknown number call from the number I listed above. Was an Pakistan speaking man that said my order w[censored]d because charge may be fraudulent. Then the amount was close but not exact. I asked him what the issue was he then asked for my name to look up so I hung up.

Just received a call from Amazon saying I purchased a $799.00 I phone and Amazon was billing me. She started asking me questions. I told her she had the wrong person. She new my first name. She suddenly hung up on me.

I received a call from someone with a heavy accent. He said that there was fraud on my Amazon Account, stating that someone bought someone from my account for over $1,000 dollars. He asked if I have an Amazon Store, Family Dollar or Walmart near me. In order to fix my account he wanted me to go to the store and purchase a gift card for $99.00. As soon as he asked me to buy a gift card, I hung up the phone. I don't even have an Amazon account.

I received a call on my home phone from Amazon. I did not answer. It showed unknown in my caller ID. They left a message. The caller stated someone tried to put $1400 on my Amazon account. I was to press one. I did not press any numbers. Contact phone number 706-539-6175. I called the number back. A man answered Amazon. I was stunned. I said what is this $1400 about. He said I will look it up. I did not give any information. I said you are not getting any money out of me. I started yelling and hung up. I do pay $14 a month for Amazon Prime TV.
