Sat.,Jan.9,2021, phone rang, a recording stating it was Amazon calling to notify me of a charge for $729. If I disputed that, press 1 for Amazon Customer Care Dept. After a couple of seconds they hung up. The above calls were sent every few minutes from 12:57 and until 3:14 p.m., so far. Eight different numbers I never answered, but it is certainly irritating and I would love to have it stopped immediately.

Phone call phishing for personal information. I did not give out any.

i opened my amazon on my computer. there was a message on the opening page that there was fraudulant activity on my acct. there was a phone number to call so i did. from there he took $399.99 thru an app then he charged 4 $50.00 dollar XBOX game cards. He said he was helping me to get my money back. When he started wanting other bank accounts that didn't have anything to do with this bank, I realized this was a scam. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Amazon was no help at all. We have claimed a dispute but mind you he did this on Dec. 22. Three days before Christmas.

I received a call from a man named Harry, stating he was contacting me regarding a phone I purchased off Amazon, which I did not order any phones from Amazon. The man convinced me on giving them my account information, which they have taken 2 payments for $59.00 each, that I was not aware of and did not authorize. My bank believes this to be a scam call, and will be issuing me a new account. I called the ScamPulse.com to help me regarding this scam.

Call representing Amazon with a false charge to my account. They got into my computer with me putting in a number (ip number?) They were going to refund me the bogus charge of $799. but they refunded my $7999. I bought gift cards for the difference of around 6000. and gave them the number and pin number. They were from the middle east I would say India.

Received call stating from Amazon ad that I had fraud on account worth $800-ish. When I questioned them, they hung up. I called Amazon using a listed number and they said it wasn't them and my account was fine. I tried calling the number back and while the caller seemed like they were overseas, the person answering seemed local.

Received phone call stating that my Amazon account had detected that my identity has been compromised. Alex Turner stated that a purchase was made in Los Angeles and said to be shipped to home address in PA. It was a mini ipad for 349.99. I stated that I do not have an Amazon account or a Visa card. He stated that my identity had been compromised. He wanted me to connect to a centralized server. I refused and said that I didnot have access to a computer. He wanted to send me a check for the price of the purchase. I asked to speak to his supervisor who he stated would get to me as he was in the restroom. After a few moments an Alex Smith came to the phone and reiterated the same information. I then told him I would get back to them and hung up. These were men with foreign accents.

After this phone call, I called Life Lock and reported this incident.

I receivable phone call from “Amazon” saying I had suspicious purchases on my account from other states, and to press 1. When I did, the person wanted to take over my computer.

He gave me a call back number:

(206)424-1307

David

I was attempting to register a roku device with Amazon.com/mytv site. I received a message that I had to do this by phone and provided a number to call. When contacting this number I was told by a gal, that did not speak clear English, my Amazon account had been compromised and a verification of the my account needed to be done. I was passed to a supervisor Michael Lou and he explained a verification could be done by making a purchase of Google play cards in an identified amount to verify my information and block the others. When I returned to the conversation I was then passed on to verification and they wanted to reimburse what I had spent but could only transfer $1000 to my account vs $400 and would i agree to pay the $600 back. I was asked by David Eon to then go and purchase 3 more Google play cards to cover the $600 amount back. So I ended up contacting Amazon to inquire as to my account being hacked and learned I was jilted out of $400 because they have you read the codes to verify they were purchased. Needless to say I am angry about this. I hope Amazon makes changes to the mytv registration process to be sure this doesn't happen again.
