I got an text message asking me to complete a survey based on a recent amazon experience. All I had to do was pay for the shipping. I did find something I wanted and used my credit card. I called and disputed the charge with the bank.

keeps calling my mom saying she owes $800 for something that was bought on amazon. She is elderly. Called the number back, they said I created the account using the number I was calling from - I WAS CALLING FROM FLORIDA. She lives in Georgia so it was a total scam!!

I bought a computer from Amazon to be delivered to Saudi Arabia (as a gift), when the computer arrived, it didn't work so i requested a return. I called Amazon to follow up my refund and they said they have system error, and I asked to talk to a supervisor (he sent me his amazon ID), he told me that i need to buy google play card with $500, then he kept asking me to buy more so that he can fix his system and release for me my refund. Then someone else called me saying he is amazon billing manger and said due to the system error, he will issue an invoice with total $4000 (attached the invoice he texted to me) and once I send him this amount using google cards, he will release my refund, also I recieved another call from someone told me he is the area manager and he told me don't worry i will refund your money but don't answer any other person says he is from amazon

Got number from google to call amazon, spoke to two people impersonating amazon customer service. They said in order to replace my issue, i would have to purchase 3 google play cards because their system was down, i said, amazon would never treat a customer like that, then they said they were cancelling the complaint and to call a different department!

It all started when I just wanted to push back a payment till I got my next paycheck. I called amazon number listed on the internet 1 888 737 4485. I thought they sounded fishy because i was out money on my amazon account for that my account was under a red flag. Beinh under a red flag was also the reason they couldn't push the date back. My wife grabbed the number what I thought was the real Amazon number 1 877 225 9020. So we hung up on the first guy. With this number they said I talked to a Steven 1 855 446 8988@ext 9891 claiming to be from Seattle wa. I was told that a Robert Wilson hacked my account. So it all sounded to be the same thing going on.Then my wife looked at the account. Sure enough charges were on our account through our credit union. The guy said he could reimburse me for the charges that Robert Wilson made. I would just need to get a google play card put 100 dollars on it.I got one thinking that it would get credited to my account. I thought that he was just using this for a verification reason on my location. After that was given to him he asked for 480 dollars. I told him that I don't have that type of money in my account. I started getting mad at him and my wife said, now just wait this all makes sense now if this gets loaded immediately into our account we can bounce a check and get the 480 so we did. Then he said that the guy was new and messed up it was supposed to be 500 dollars more before we can get the money. My wife said just do it get it over with. I said no after walking into walmart to bounce another check. I went in and saw for no reason ever give a pre paid card over the phone. That's when I took completely over. I told him just give me the money that I gave you to do this transaction. I did my part and I still didn't see anything on his end. I said that I cant do that not will I give him any more money. He got mad at me then hung up. 580 dollars of prepaid cards out from that and 280 dollars from what they did on Amazon on my account. Plus they locked me out of the account, so I called to cancel that account and cancelled all my cards. Called the police and google play. Google play said they are a victim in this too. I gave them my Google play card information to see if they know who claimed it.

called and stated they wanted to confirm my order for Amazon. I have not made a delivery with Amazon, nor has anyone in my family.

Just got a text for a special offer....seems a bit odd.

I received a phone call that my Amazon account had been compromised, and someone had charged my account for $200 anti-virus computer equipment. (His name was Robin with an Indian accent). Foolishly, I gave him access to my computer. I was told I'd be contacted by Amazon to refund me the $200. I was then called by Dan Williams (1(413)252-0656 (Belchertown, MA), to refund me the money. I was told it would be a transfer of funds to my bank acct. Again, very foolishly, I gave bank information, and $500 was stolen from my checking account.

Scammer used fake Amazon invoice to sell a Nissan Altima with 93,000 miles.

An unsolicited call from a supposedly Amazon company contacted me at 5:11 p.m. on Monday April 23rd from Hermosa Beach California the caller said that they needed to verify a purchase of $77.99 on my Visa and I was to contact them at 210-421-4421 to verify that I ordered it. Checking my Amazon orders there is no order for that amount so I did not return the call.

People called and said they were Amazon and that we had some purchases on our account they thought were fraudulant with the debit cards on there. I questioned them several times about wondering if they were really from Amazon but they seemed to know how to answer the questions just right. They took remote access of my computer and after I gave them my son's debit card numbers, CVV numbers, and exp numbers they said they were going to cancel the transactions that had already taken place. They first went to Western Union and tried twice to put in a money order and then they went to Card Cash and tried to purchase a Nordhams card. They then said the credit card on the account had something wrong also. I asked if it was my Amazon card and they said it was the other one on there. I started to give them that card's numbers and then thought this doesn't seem right. I said no and they got very upset and said they were done and hung up. I then called Amazon right away and they said that they would never take remote access of a computer and that they hadn't called. I called Western Union and got the account they made taken down and both my son's called their debit card companies to report their cards as stolen.

Found a car for sale on Facebook and contacted seller who then had me send my email cause they said they were at work. Then was contacted through email. Seller asked for my name and address so that they could give my information to Amazon to show that I was interested in the vehicle. (They said that the car is being sold through Amazon for safety reasons) I was then sent a invoice from “Amazon” with all the vehicle information as will as payment method and a phone number to call. I called and they said that it was Amazon support and walked me through the process and how it would go. Then I bought Amazon gift cards and gave the numbers to them over the Phone. (Yes I know big red flags right there) I was just excited about the car and didn’t look far enough in to this. Once I gave them the card info they had me take a picture and attach it to the email and send it. They said it was to show proof of purchase. DO NOT send a picture of any receipts. They do it so when question they have picture proof they they purchased the cards. I lost 1400 dollars in this scam.

Left a voicemail message about my Amazon prime needing renewal and I had to call the number they left to renew and pay my $119.00. However I knew my renewal was automatic. It also happened to go though on my credit card on Jan 16th so I knew it was a scam. My husband deleted the message before I could get the number we were told to call.

- Redding, CA, USA

I noticed Amazon prime kept charging my account, which did happen to be amazon. However, the first phone number on google that I found happened to be 1 (877) 974 - 3757 so I called that, a man named "Peter" answered the phone and had me go to this website - www.cbttr.com - and then had me log into my email and online banking. I changed all passwords and user names and reported it to my bank also, they canceled my card and sent me a new one.

Once he had my bank information open, he hung up on me, I called back and then he told me to not call back again.
