- Apison, TN, USA

I answered a craigslist ad for a house for rent using the phone number provided in the ad. The house is actually for sale on Zillow.com. The woman who answered told me asked for my email address, which I provided. She sent me a link (https://secure.rspcdn.com/xprr/red/PID/8870/SID/ashley) to what appears to be a legitimate credit report website. I am still trying to make sure if that link is legitimate or a very convincing spoof of the legitimate site.

She said I needed to get a credit report using her link to obtain a credit report, take a screenshot of the score and email it back to her.

I sent a screenshot of the basic credit score screen which had no other identifying information. It happened that I had given her a different email address than the one I used to set up the identityIQ.com account. She replied to my email asking for the email address that I used to get the credit score. This made me suspicious of a scam so I looked up her email address and found one report that it had been used, under the same name, Ashley Johnson, to scam someone.

I think so far all she has is my phone number and email address. However, if that link was a spoof then they also have my debit card number.
