I felt like something was wrong when I asked for a cancellation form but had to download a program stupid me did it. These people “remember my name “Nancy” . Disgusting

When the person instructed me to go to the website, I saw awesun.com scam listed and clicked on that instead. So I quickly figured out that it was a scam and immediately hung up the call.

There is an attachment to the email. The attachment had at the top "Now Available! Make secure payment with PayPal. Then the attachment contained a Helpdesk #: 1(802) 752-4363

"We have authorized your account for $480.81 successfully. Note: This charge should reflect in your account within the upcoming 72 hours. Review your order details below: the attachment has an Order ID number; Service type; Transaction date: March 5, 2024; Product number. To cancel or dispute this payment, contact us! (802) 752-4363. Thanks for choosing us as your preferred payments processor."

With this information, I called the number and an Alex answered the phone. He wanted me to add a program on my computer to be able to send me a claim to cancel the order. He gave me the website: awesun.com. I did not download it. I asked him what the product was because I did not order anything. He said it was a computer program. I asked him what account of mine was authorized to draw this order out of. He would not tell me. He told me he couldn't give me that information. I kept insisting and then he hung up on me. I checked with my bank and no money has been withdrawn from this incident yet.
