I responded because I was expecting a sears repair man and thought it was him calling.
He then advised me he wanted to ask me some questions as I had been selected for free tickets to Disney land, at that time I said I had no desire to go to Disney and hung up.

Dear Sir/Ma’am,
As I’m sure many others have, I’ve received my share of annoying telemarketer calls, most memorable among them being those from “Josh”.
My first experience with “Josh” (via cell phone) didn’t register as suspicious because I work with a fellow named Josh (didn’t think to check my Caller ID first) and therefore had no reason for any doubt. The call sounded nothing like a robo-call, let alone a scam, and went something like this:
Me: “Hello”
Josh: “Hey Paul, this is Josh. Can you hear
me?”
……and thinking (fellow employee) Josh may have been broken down on the road somewhere……
Me: “Yeah, sure Josh. What’s up?”
At that point “Josh” launched into his hard sell, about what, I didn’t stay on the line long enough to find out. The second “Josh” call I received some months later (via landline), and I immediately hung up. I just hope the next time the REAL Josh calls me, I don’t cut him off.
I made a note of the call as myself and my wife do for ALL unidentifiable or unfamiliar calls. I have a list of these calls should you like them.
The most recent “Josh” call was dialed from (315) 623-0151 and listed the location as Constantia, NY. As with all the others, no Voice Mail was left.
As for the DO NOT CALL registry, warnings to cease and desist go mostly unheeded. It therefore needs to be not only strictly ENFORCED, but EXPANDED to anyone using the phone lines to sell, conduct surveys and solicit money for charities, including POLITICIANS (who are even more annoying and persistent with their dinner time calls, and who are EXEMPT) all of which could be scams disguised as legitimate activities. Senator Schumer was working this, but his efforts seem to have gone by the wayside for some reason.
NOTE: “Josh” just called again as I was typing this correspondence:…..”Medical Alert” from Potsdam, NY…..(315) 274-2432. Again, I didn’t answer and no Voice Mail was left. That’s THREE.
Anyway, I hope that your efforts will get the politicians off their duffs to do something about, not only “Josh”, but the whole damned conspiracy.
Thank you
