Malicious call asking if "I can hear them now"

- Fairburn, GA, USA

I answered a call from a local number and said hello. A female voic repeated hello and I said "yes" she replied sorry I was adjusting my headset. I immediately realized it was a scam and I had said yes. The recording said you recently stayed at one of our resorts and I hung up. I didn't give any info but am scared because I did say yes.

I'm afraid I said "yes" to an unknown caller. The person calling me said my name, " Hello, Is this X?" And I said "This is she". They repeated the same thing and I said the same. The third time, I said, "yes, this is she." That's when they told me they were with the DAV. I then hung up.

The only reason why I answered this call is because I was expecting a call from a plumber to come service my house.

on march 16, 2017 I received a call on my cell phone. The caller identified me by name. I responded yes to his question.

The caller asked several other questions attempting to solicit another "yes" from me. I did not respond and the caller hung up. I don't know if I was scammed or not, but I reporting this incident to your agency. Thank you

I answered a phone call from the above number. I said, "Hello?" The person or recording on the other end said, "Hello?" There was a pause. I said, "HELLO?" again. The person or recording then responded with "Can you hear me?". I asked who was calling please and then they hung up. Really nervous about this phone scam wanting people to respond with the word YES and then using their voice to approve purchases. Hoping my response isn't used in some way.
