At 1pm EST on 6/5Call on my cell phone from 404 400 5372. When I answered, voice said, "This is Trip Advisor Customer Service...can you hear me OK?" I said yes. He then hung up.

After this I got same type call from California Phone 530 317 0776

- Fayetteville, GA, USA

Scammer calls and says they are emergency techs and asks if you can hear them.

Was reached via phone. A automatic recording caught me off guard. I

was distracted and confused the call with a recall my Vehicle recently received by mail. I answered yes, to speak with someone and hung up after realizing what had just happened.

- Concord, GA, USA

The man who called asked if I could hear him clearly, and I said Yes. He then proceeded to talk about a cruise. I remembered at this point hearing about scammers who call and record you saying Yes to use for your authorization on accounts. I could tell the call was a recording and hung up at this point, so I don't know if he would have asked for money.

Received a call from (270) 594-6148. It was an automated call asking talking about a car warranty about to expire and it asked if I wanted to speak to a customer service agent. I said yes so that I could speak to someone to have them get me off their list. It repeated the question 4 times, each time I answered yes, thinking it just wasn't registering. It then hung up. I was unaware of the "say yes scam" at the time.

Claims that they need to set up a time for some sort of conference. when asked about what...they say about roof damage, roofing tiles damaged that was reported. No report...I have a tin roof. Trying to get information. I hang up on them.

FIRST I RECEIVED A LETTER TELLING ME THAT MY CAR WARRANTY WAS ABOUT TO EXPIRE. MY HUSBAND TOLD ME THAT LETTER WAS A SCAM BECAUSE WE HAD PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM HONDA JUST NINE MONTHS AGO AND SO I THREW THAT LETTER AWAY.

NEXT THE PHONE CALLS STARTED. MULITPLE CALLS A DAY. I WOULD JUST BLOCK THEM. I GOT SICK OF IT AND ANSWERED THE CALL. IT WAS A ROBO CALL. IT ASKED IF I WANTED TO SPEAK TO A REPRESENTATIVE AND I SAID YES. A FEW SECONDS LATER THE CALL DISCONNECTED. I TRIED TO CALL THE NUMBER BACK AND IT WOULD JUST DISCONNECT. I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO A COUPLE OF NUMBERS THAT I HAD RECEIVED CALLS FROM.

The phone # 510-313-6711 from Hercules, CA called my cell phone. They said my car warranty was about to expire. Did I want to speak with a customer service rep. I said yes. The message switched to a different voice adn said thank you for calling. Press 3 if vehicle has less that 150,000 miles press 7 if want to record # with DMV. I presssed 3 and the call hung up. Then I knew they were trying to record me saying yes.

Repeated phone calls. Finally answered to lot of noise...waited comment made and I answered yes (as in a question mark) hung up. Then called back but I put the number on Block. My phone showed they left message however all that was there was background noise.

- Dawsonville, GA, USA

I have been receiving phone calls and voice mails on my cell phone from a number listed in Mableton. The number is 678-269-6835. The voice mail is always the same asking for a Wendy C. The call is supposedly from a Medical Academy. They give the call back number as 888-208-2170. When I tried to contact the 678 number to let them know they had reached a wrong number my cell phone told me that it was an invalid number. When I went to go look up the 888 number it said this was a bad number.

- Atlanta, GA, USA

Said my cell phone number was selected for a survey about childhood immunizations. Then asked if I was doing something that could be considered dangerous while using a cell phone like driving. Obviously trying to get me to say 'Yes'. Lots of these scams in the news.

- Alpharetta, GA, USA

Was receiving numerous calls over past week, often 2 times per day. Since familiar area code, and I thought it could be a service provider I use. Often the pest or other services call me before they arrive. I did ask repeatedly - "Who is calling please...? I do not know who is calling." {I realized later, accidentally i might have said Yes (instead of Hello) with quick after thought oh no...). I heard a Thank you in background. Lots of noise and no questions, no request for me to ask speak clearer. I kept phone line open 1 minute; they hung up.

I've been receiving lots more of these same exact automated recordings from someone who starts the recording with, "hi, can you hear me?" This is the latest number for the recording to come from. I hung up immediately so didn't hear the rest of the recording.

- Jonesboro, GA, USA

Scammer called from phone number 1-678-142-92359 saying he was from the Bray Institute. He asked "Can you hear me ", which I replied "YES". He then asked "The reason I am calling is because you have been identified as someone in the past experiencing back, shoulder or neck pain". He then asked "Are you experiencing back, shoulder or neck pain now?" Which I replied "NO". He then immediately hung up. I then realized I may have been a victim of the Can You Hear Me Now" phone call scam.

I just received this phone call now and wanted to immediately get this alert out to potential victims! I will be monitoring for any suspicious credit card charges. Since this just occurred a few minutes ago I cannot answer "YES" to the question "Did the victim lose money?

- Smyrna, GA, USA

I just received a "can you hear me" scam phone call from this phone number. I'm worried because a woman said "i'll call you right back" and I said "Ok." I'll be checking my bank statements for fraudulent charges.

- Newnan, GA, USA

Just received a call regarding a cruise line. We are taking a cruise and I answered "yes" - then the call dropped off.

- Atlanta, GA, USA

I received a call where there was static at first and then a voice came on and asked me : " can you hear me now ?"

I stupidly said YES and then the person asked me if I had shoulder or knee pain. I said no and told that caller not to contact me again. I am afraid the damage has been done since I then remembered about the can you hear me scams on the phone. What also seems fishy is that the phone number showing on my phone has 1 digit more than the normal phone numbers

I was called by a unknown number. When I picked up they asked "Is this (my name)" to which I said yes then they hung up.
