Westjet SCAM

I was trying to check-in for my flight which I booked through expedia for WestJet when I was directed to this number. Initially, it seemed legit as she was able to pull up my flight when I told her my flight number. They then asked me to pay $360 for booking the seat. I was alarmed as I was told by Expedia that I shouldn't be paying anything more than what I already have. I told her that I'm going to call expedia when she really started pushing me for my credit card to process $360. I told her I am only going to pay once I talk to expedia at which point she started to give me coupon options. I eventually just hung up on her and upon googling found this to be a SCAM!

Type of a scam Online Purchase

I was trying to check-in for my Air Canada flight and I was redirected to https://canadairlanes.shop/ - it seemed legit and so I called the number to do the check-in in person. I was told that I would need to pay an extra $499 for my flight or for $199 I could request a voucher for a future flight and cancel my reservation.

They were able to access my info with booking number, so they knew where I was headed. I got suspicious when they asked me for my date of birth and then changed the surcharge to $475, then $390 and told me there were only 2 seats left on my flight. I also had seat reservation. I did not give my credit card number and hung up on them when I asked to talk to a supervisor and "Sherry Smith" told me I was already talking to the supervisor.
