I have been text by this alleged company & followed by 1 phone call, thus far. I did not text nor answer the call. I assumed it was a scam. Never heard of this company.

My elderly father-in-law received a letter from Capio Partners in Sherman, Texas on November 12, 2018. The letter stated that he owed a Tennessee hospital $548.02 for a debt incurred on April 16, 2017, and that debt had been turned over to their agency for collection. I called Capio Partners on behalf of my father-in-law and was told they could not speak with me about the account. I was told to email to them a copy of my husband's "conservator papers", then they would talk to me about the account. Instead of wasting my time with that, I instead contacted my father-in-law's insurance company concerning the supposed charge and was told that no claim had ever been filed for that date of service. SCAM! It is really sad that scammers do what they do … especially when they try to take advantage of elderly folks!

I received a phone call from (256) 781-4390 in Friday November 6 at 3:22 PM to my cell phone. The person claimed to be from Capio Partners working to collect debt for SSM St. Joseph West Hospital for a person with my name and birthday. They claimed the debt was over $5000 and dated back to 2011. I told them that this was incorrect because I have never been there, and she continued to say if that is true and it is a case of identity fraud that I should send them a police report. I searched online for any information about that phone number and it would only give me a city and state. I then contacted the SSM St. Joseph West Hispital who reported that they do not use this Capio Partner group for their debt collections nor do they have a record of any accounts with my name in any of their hospitals.
