They said that i would be served paperwork at my last known address by tomorrow

- Flintstone, GA, USA • Apr 17, 2024

The initial phone call came from 423-551-9803. We were left a message using my roommate’s name and last 4 of social security number saying he was fixing to be served. They left a number for him to call back as well as a case number. He called the number and they were a “law firm” who had no idea how he got their number, but yet they still knew who he was and the last four of him ss number. I told him it was BS and to hang up immediately. So, Now we get to worry exactly how much info they DO have and what will happen next.

I got this call yesterday also from the Chattanooga number. It’s a scam. It’s scary they have so much information. The guy said his name was Matthew Anaya. I called the local law enforcement and reported it. They said that any process server wouldn’t call like that with vague details. If he was a real server, they’d already know your address , would have served us in person and would never ask for sensitive info over the phone.

I received a phone call from a local number here in Ruidoso. I usually don't answer unknown numbers but because it looked similar to local doctors numbers I answered. He asked if it was ...... On the phone and I wouldn't give him that information. I told him I wouldn't until he told me what this was about and who he was. The man, Jason Allen, said he was a dispatcher and he was wondering if I was going to be home on Monday between the hours of 12 and 2 to be served a notice. I was being sued and needed to receive this summons to appear in court. I asked him being sued by who? He said greenwise financial solutions, I can give you the number to call and you can find out why they're sueing you. I'm the process of him telling me who they were I was looking them up on Google, no record other than a boca raton, FL old address. So I said I didn't live in Florida and he said "yes I know you live in New Mexico, and you live at (he proceeded to state my address) and I have a secondary address of (and he stated my previous address)" he gave me the number of 877 695 1797, which didn't match the number on Google. Then he gave me a case number of *********. He told me to call them and find out more info and if I want to change the date of being served I need to call them too. All of this is completely suspicious to me. His last word were "Good luck in court". A scare tactic much? I humor the guy call the number, a lady shares l answers right away, asks how to direct the call without stating company name or anything when she answers the phone, takes the case number, knows exactly who's calling within 3 seconds and says "I'll transfer you to our legal department" and puts me on hold. As all of this is happening I'm reading this verbatim on a Reddit thread that other people have experienced the same with them. I have up before they complete the transfer. This needs to be shut down.
