I took an online survey from Walgreen's and was offered a free product. I paid $4.99 for shipping. On March 3, 2021 $5.98 and $6.45 was deducted from my bank account by Melodie Econolina and Melodie Symmetry. And on March 24, 2021 $94.78 and $89.95 was deducted from my bank by the same Melodie companies. I never received any product. I called the number listed (888-441-0849) and was told the product was shipped to me in Deerfield, Alabama. I live in Hawthorne, Wisconsin. I was told that I didn't cancel my subscription and that is why the money is coming out of my account. I had them cancel any further shipments (that I never got) and refund my money. They told me they do not refund money and I needed to understand their side of it in that the product was shipped. Again, not to me. I told them I was going to report them to the Better Business Bureau and the attorney general and they offered me a 25% refund. We went back and forth. I settled on 75% refund. His voice sounded nervous. I cancelled my debit card and time will tell if they actually refund my money. I felt like I was reasoning with a toddler. Very frustrating. I did not sign up for an ongoing subscription for anything.

The last 3 months since I’ve ordered something online someone been making large amounts of transactions off my card. I didn’t find out until about a month ago when I downloaded my card transactions app and seen the transaction. And when I called the number I could tell the individuals wasn’t professional or anything but I didn’t to much of it after they sent my refund. But they keep taking money off my card and have to keep continuously call them and do the same thing over and I’m sick of it please someone help me cause some transactions I haven’t got back. And I really can’t afford this to keep happening.

I received phone call from this number and lady read me back my personal information ( name, address, phone number) which I submitted to Employ Florida portal as requested by Unemployment Office. She did not ask for any SS number or account number but she immediately redirected my call to "career advisor" who after 2 min talk wanted to forward my phone number to collages near me. When I called back this number there is clear scam going on, you can not talk to anyone and it redirects you to some Gmail account! My phone now is bombarded by scam phone calls which I send to voice mail and block.

I picked up a phone call expecting it to the doctor's office but I picked up and it said customer service and she asked if I could hear her and I said yes. And saw this was a common scam after the phone call

They sent an email to me saying that I order something and I didn’t. And they charged $879.99. With shipping. I never bought anything with them and I don’t know them.

It was a recording and stated that it was a recorded line and asked if I could hear them and I stated yes. Then the phone line instantly hung up. Not realizing what happened till after. I got scammed by saying yes on a recorded line. I called back and you can't contact anyone.

- Fort Wayne, IN, USA

They called and asked can you hear me. I said yes and they immediately hung up. Sounded like female caller not recording. When I call the number back it puts me though to a fake email and hangs up.

I get an automated call at my place of employment stating that I am going to be served between 3 -5, to have two pieces of valid ID

I've received several calls from this number 517.481.3220 at my place of employment - stating I'm being served papers, need two pieces of ID, will serve at my work and home, speak to my employer.. I received calls similar to this last year and my children were repeatedly harassed with the same information.

If they can not provide me a letter to my home of what this is, this do not contact anymore. And do not contact my children.

However, the following numbers are calling me

313.251.5333

313.306.8110

When I call back it just says press 1 for representative or 2 to be placed on “do not call” list. You press 1 and it says no is available, but to email [email protected]. Not sure if you can check into this.

I received a call from Mark stating he was on a recorded line and was with an emergency medical service and asked if I could hear him okay.

Before I could think I said yes (his tone sounded like someone was in trouble). He immediately hung up. I called back and when I selected to talk to a representative they were ‘unavailable” but you could send an email. Seems like another was to give out info. Just happened so do not know the impact yet but worried

- Urbana, OH, USA

I got a call from a woman, she said she was with Helpful Hands, and she was running my credit report. I asked why. She asked if I filled out a survey online. I said no. She hung up. I called back, she answered, I asked why she ran my credit report, she hung up. I called back and the call was answered "Customer Service", no representative available, email [email protected].

Consumer went onto the Expedia website to get a number so that he could cancel a room he had booked. He was scrolling through the web-page and came across a number. He dialed 1.425.679.7200 and reached a gentleman by the name of Peter. Peter whom he stated had a very thick accent and broken English informed him that in order to refund the cost of the room he would need to go to a Rite Aid, CVS or something of that nature and purchase a gift card and provide him with the numbers. Peter informed the consumer that he would need to at first purchase the gift card for $255.00 but then stated that he only need to purchase it for $250.00. Peter explained that not only would the room be refunded but the gift card would be to. Consumer advised that he was unable to leave due to the fact that he was at work. Peter gave consumer a number to call back which was 8663341333 ext. 1030 when he was able to go to the store and get the card. Also, Peter stated to consumer that he would need to stay on the phone with him while he made the purchase.

Scammer calls to get you to say yes.

Caller using 801-878-6095 said from "Customer Service," said he was "Joe," a local electrician, knew my first name. Asked if I was (name), and if I could hear him. I responded with "Yes," then he hung up. I called the number, and given the option to be placed on an "internal do not call list," selected that.

TWO mistakes.

I placed an online order for Forskolin diet supplement and the next week received a call from 1-855-414-9784 saying that there was a mistake with my FREE TRIAL ONLINE ORDER - and to please call ASAP. So I called the number and they did have my cell phone number and address already and because there was a glitch in the system, they needed my zip code and credit card number again. So I asked him his name, he said he was the customer support rep for the diet aid I ordered and he just need the zip & CC # - I told him NO -- there are too many scams out there. He got upset and said "I already have your phone and address, how could this be a scam?" I said - I don't know you tell me - He said … "Just provide the CC # so you can get your order... if you don't verify the number, I will be forced to cancel your free trial." I said OKAY -- CANCEL IT! He hung up. I called the actual company that I ordered from and they verified my order and shipping details. I received the product the next morning just as scheduled!

Scammers say something like, "Hi, this is Linda on a recorded line." Then there's broken audio and you hear them say can you hear me a few times. I said yeah, I can hear you. Then they hang up. If you call back they won't answer. If you use a different phone, they answer.
