The first question was "can you hear me ok? I hadn't heard about the scam and answered "sure". He continued that I had won a trip to Disney and I hung up.

I received a call at 10:55 AM from the number above, which is a local number for me. The man said "hi! this is John from customer service! Can you hear me?" I stupidly said "yes" and he proceeded to tell me i won a free all inclusive vacation package. I immediately hung up and realized it was the "can you hear me" scam

I received a call and said hello. It was an automated voice that said "Hello this is Josh from customer service, can you hear me." I said nothing. "He said okay good, let me ask you.." I hung up.

I think this is part of the yes scam going around.

Received a call this AM asking if I could hear them okay. It sounded like a recording but the pause was so long I suspected it was a real person. When I responded it continued its offer of a vacation package. I disconnected the call at this point. I did not lose anything at this point but am concerned and reporting due to the recent information about scammers asking you a yes/no question and recording your "yes" response to use it to make unauthorized charges using your voice.

The gentleman called and stated he was from customer service and asked if I could hear him. Shortly after that I hung up the phone. I remembered on the local news saying scammers ask that question and record it to use your voice to get you into possible trouble.

I received a call to my cell phone at today, Feb 3rd, 2017. Its the phone scam going around where they ask you 'can you hear me?' ...... and it was just a knee-jerk reaction where I answered ...yah...... didn't say "yes", but hesitantly said yah ..... then realized what I had done and I hung up! Can this be tracked/stopped?

Hi this is Jim from customer service . Can you hear me ok . I started to say yes and before I could stop myself I said yea. Than I realized it was a recording . They started to say you are eligible for . I hung up Knowing this is a possible scam .

On January 23,'17 I received a call. He said hi I'm Josh with customer service... can you hear me ok? I was caught off guard and said yes. Then I could tell it was a recording saying I qualify to win a trip. I hung up right away then with a sick feeling knowing they had me saying yes. I wrote everything down. Now, just over a week later, it's all over the news as a scam. Who knows what they will do with this recording.
