Claimed I won $958,000,000 with Publisher's Clearing House, but raised red flags
Additionally, he said that I would be escorted to my bank to cash the check. When I told him I do only online banking and that there is no brick-and-mortar location near me, he said that was fine and we could go to any bank. However, he earlier claimed that I would have to have a bank account already existing to ensure that the bank wouldn't hold my supposed winnings. After consistently explaining to him the impossibility of doing so, that was when he said it could be any bank.
The way he consistently seemed to contradict himself, the requirement for me to get a direct pay card, and the fact that he didn't seem to present numbers mathematically correct all made me begin questioning things, so I did a Google search and found the legitimate Publisher's Clearing House website where the company explains how they send out money, that they never ask for money before the prize is received (or after), and that if this occurs, then the person claiming to be from PCH is fraudulently portraying themselves. I hung up immediately, and then Googled "David White Publisher's Clearing House," and this page popped up on the top of the first SERP, so I decided to leave my experience in an effort to prevent others from being scammed.
