Type of a scam: Fake Check/Money Order

Money Order scam

Received in the mail letter telling me to get blank money orders for $880 X 4 and send them out. I know a scam when I see one. It comes from a construction company from stockton california but a wellness company from Idaho is on the check. I called that company and went to the bank on the check which was wells Fargo. Nobody knows about it. So I went to the police dept and reported it.

Received mail with Capital One cashier's check for $1,970. Check is fraud as ABA# is 10 digits...not 9. Letter was on Walmart letterhead requestioning we purchase 3 $500 Apple Gift cards, activate, and then send photos of the activated cards along with store receipts.

Received Priority mail envelope. It contained a letter for mystery shopper explaining what to do with the check. The check was for the amount of $3391.00. It looks legitimate but the checks letterhead was for a LM Constructiom, LLC in Las Vegas. I called the company in Las Vegas and they advised that they have had alot of fraud on their account and have put precautions on their accounts. They thanked me for calling and advised to destroy the check. I also called my local sheriff's office to let them know what was going on.

I was going to the Web looking for a part-time job. I saw this one come up. So I inquired some information about it. While they email me back, ask me for my address. And this was a mystery shopper. So I decided to look at it. So I handed, send me the package. I opened it app when I got home. And I wanted more information. So I called to speak with this, so-called Ricky Ford person. He sounded Jamaican. And it had me skeptical once I heard his voice so I went to the triple b. And I report him and I see that there is a fraud scam. And I also see the that you're also doing the frog's game so I wanted to report them. I will not be cashing the so-called. Check and I hope the chalk can resolve this and catch them in the act.

I received a letter and a $2,950.00 telling me to buy ebay gift cards. Then when I buy them give a review on the store and then scratch the back of the card and take a picture of the code and receipt to the following email and phone number.

I received a text regarding a "Mystery Shopper" Job Opportunity, to earn $500 per assignment, so I asked for more information about it, since I had already heard about a "Mystery Shopper's" that had canvassed my previous job, so I initially thought It was legit. Then they sent the instructions and a check for $2950 to buy (4) $500 Ebay cards, to scratch off and send Photos of the numbers! It all started to become very clear that it was an attempt to get me to deposit their fake check and spend my money $2000 for the cards and then send a picture of the card numbers to them so they can order $2000 worth of merchandise online, then their check bounces and then I'm out of $2000!!

PLEASE TRACK THESE CROOKS DOWN!!!!
