Scammer posted a job ad on zip recruiter. Went to great lenghts to make it look legitimate with website, email and phone numbers connected to company used. Gives you a bank account number and routing number and asks you to transfer money and pay off credit cards, then wait for money to clear. Asked credit card company if it was legitimate and they really didnt offer much help. Did what they asked, money cleared after a whole week. I bought and shipped goods and now transactions from bank got reversed and my credit card is over limit

This situation still has me confused. They wanted to hire me as a Purchasing Manager but wants me to use their account to pay off my credit card, then use my credit card to purchase IT Equipment and ship it to “their clients”. For the first “order” they want me to purchase over $25,000 worth of tablets and laptops to send to Hong Kong.

They have given me their bank account info to pay off my credit card so that I have available credit to purchase the items they are asking for, which makes no sense as they have offered my own credit line for the “next” purchasing order after this initial purchase…..I’m tempted to try this because of the high rate of pay they are offering, but I’ve yet to make a move on this as I’m concerned by the methods they want to use. After seeing someone else post a similar experience I’m almost convinced that this is a scam, but honestly I’m still not sure because I can’t figure out how they benefit by this process….

Ultimately, they get you to send them new electronics that you paid for. They bully you into thinking they will pay a balance on your card. They have you purchase something. They give you an account—at your bank. You “pay” your balance. Then you think you can ship the product. Telling your bank (credit card) to gain the funds is the scheme. When your bank goes to draw the funds, they make an electronic request three times. Then they re-charge you. And you are stuck paying.

I believe that with the expertise of the company's supervisors, your training and orientation will go on without any issues.

[Yesterday 4:26 PM] Charles Bridge

The company will provide you a free MacBook laptop with a fast internet connection and your W4,i-9 form will be coming along with the working materials you need to start working with. The funds for the software/working equipment will be provided for you by the company via check.

[Yesterday 4:26 PM] Charles Bridge

Make sure you use the funds as instructed for the software/working equipment and I will refer you to one of the company's certified vendors you are to purchase them from at a discount rate due to the company's long lasting relationship and agreement with them. The vendor will be responsible for making the installations of the software with the required updates and packaging before shipping them to you. Is this clear?

Was approached from Email, Karla Dieter, with Trade & Trans GMBH. Work at home remotely, there was a probation period, where I would first use my Home Depot Card for the first 3 weeks, they would pay off the balance. I had to make 8 transactions during the probation period. They gave me bank account information and seem like it was legit. Then Home Depot said the funds were returned. I told Karla about it, she then gave me another banking information. Its been 4 days since the payment hasn't cleared the Home Depot account. I sent out 3 shipments out of the country to Almaty, KZ. I still have one at home. I believe I will be sending it back to Home Depot. But it looks like I will be in debt with Home Depot around 13k.

Scammer was able to get my credit card information. Have me use it to purchase items and was supposed to reimburse the card. I purchased the items, shipped them and they claim they made a payment. After several days, the payments were returned and the merchandise was gone.

I was contacted by email, saying that they wanted to interview me for a job with the Ailda Group. The interview was on Microsoft Team. After I was accepted the two week training was conducted on Microsoft Team. I was sent an employment agreement, a W-4 to fill out which I did. I got really suspicious when I was asked to order a cellphone on my present account. The names of the people I was dealing with are Dr April McKinney, email address [email protected] and Thomas Vega ([email protected]. Dr.McKinney had an answer for every question. It sounded legit at first but now not so much. My so called training is almost over and I am suppose to be paid on Saturday. I have already given them too much info including my SSI #. Now I am very concerned about what they will do with my info. I am a senior citizen just looking for job to supplement my income as my retirement funds are running low. I have no intentions of giving more information. I am now very nervous and afraid. I want others to be aware of these people.

I am reporting a job scam that I encountered via email. I received an email from a recruiter offering me a job as a Customer Service Representative for 57 Ocean. The email contained specific job duties and responsibilities, as well as offering flexible working hours and a weekly salary of $900.

After expressing my interest in the job, the recruiter informed me that I had been hired and that my first week's payment would be sent to me along with a list of equipment I needed to purchase. The email instructed me to deposit the check and then send most of the money to a company that would provide me with the necessary equipment.

However, I suspected that the job offer was a scam and did not respond to the email or provide any sensitive information to the recruiter. I am concerned that this job scam could be used to target others and would like to report it to the appropriate authorities to prevent further harm.

Leads Finance”. Believing it to be a genuine job offer, I replied thanking them and answering the questions. They immediately emailed me back, I received a response stating that they were offering me the job and I would be placed on a paid 2 week probation “ You would be placed on a paid 2-week probation in order for the management to access your work ethics, efficiency and salary increment consideration. You will be fully paid for the 2 weeks probation. You will be enrolled for top-of-the-line training that includes online training, and new hire class orientation. Full Name, Address, Apt/Suite #, City, State, Zip Code, Cell number (For SMS)” they also stated that my “paperwork (USCIS Form I-9 and W-4 forms) will be sent to you via FedEx after the probation period.” Again I replied and filled out the information, still thinking it was a legitimate opportunity. Then I received a text asking “Can you get to Office Depot and purchase a Standard Check Refill (Business)? It's needed in order to print and deposit the certified pdf check which will be issued to you for your workstation and equipment. It cost about $15, send me a copy of the purchase receipt for records and reimbursement.”

Thank you for the information. I received an offer like this from [email protected]. I have not replied because I am very skeptical. I looked up the domain and it has only been registered since 4/13/2023 and only for 1 year. The only thing I found about this company on the web is this page and one other. Gary will be going into my garbage bin and the entire domain will be blocked.

I was offered a remote job from a portal. It was supposed to be a HR representative. They had me getting electronic devices from a store and they supposedly paid for this items as it was shown in my bank app, but the bank returned the payment and the scammer stopped responding.

I saw an ad on Facebook regarding a work from home data entry position. The lady posting the position seemed legit, she lives local and had an active Facebook account. I messaged her for more info on the job via Messenger. She replied with info a few days later, saying the job had flexible hours, $25 hourly, etc. She said to download Signal and message this number and I would have a text to text interview. I did. And the lady interviewing, Christy VanVickle, offered me the job. I was so excited! I’ve been looking for a remote job since my husband and I are starting a family. She went over some details for the job and then said I would need a credit card to pay for my equipment, which would then be reimbursed. She asked for my credit card limit, username and password. Embarrassingly, I gave her all of this info. As well as screenshots of my drivers license. She texted back and said she was having trouble accessing my credit card account. I tried to help her lol after a few go around, she suggested that I purchase $1500 of Apple Card’s and she could use that to purchase my equipment and software instead. I went to Rite Aid and bought the cards. $1000 worth but than my credit card company locked my account due to suspected fraud. I texted her to let her know I could only get $1000. She seemed unfazed. She asked for screenshots of the receipt and card numbers. I sent them to her. She than asked me to send her the additional $500 via my iPhone App Store. I did this. Than, a few hours later she texted me back asking for another $1500 in Apple Card’s to get my equipment and software shipped to me. At this point I was already stressed and suspicious. I looked up Stonex and the ScamPulse.com website and came across another victim of this scam.

Same thing is happening to me. I also gave her info and bought the equipment and cards. Now I'm trying to get out of it

Good afternoon,

I'm not comfortable with transferring funds. This is inappropriate and should be done by the billing or human resources department. I would prefer to be paid through Paypal ************************. Thank you!

I want to confirm that I'm available by phone from 10.00 am EST till

06pm EST Monday-Friday.

During the 2 weeks period we are going to start from simple PO (purchase

order). The funds for making purchases will be transferred to the

employee first, so that one can actively prepare for purchasing. You'll

purchase the required goods, package them and ship it out to the

comapny's warehouse. Your responsibilities will be to find the items; to

find a better vendor/supplier and complete shipping.  As soon as the

items are found, you should drive and purchase them using Company's money.

We fully understand that you want to be sure that you will be paid for

your 2 weeks time and to take care about our employees families we pay

$1000 upfront to your salary pay. You can get them now or get a full

salary paycheck at the end of your 2 weeks.

We give you Authorized access to the company's checking account and

clear instruction how to get the money transferred from our account to

your card.  You will be given our company's bank account number, routing

number and other details to withdraw the company's money and put them to

your credit card. Since, company gives you the money upfront to the PO

purchase, we made a deep background screening. Our company provides the

corporate credit card to work with but it will be in your hands in 15

days from your start because you have to complete the probationary

period and fulfill 8 orders as a minimum. Within these 15 days you

receive the money from the company's bank account to your personal

credit card. To work with a credit card you do not need to give us your

credit card number.

How it works: We clear current balance and you get that balance paid  to

shop around with company's money . You will be buying goods quickly at

the same day and we do a next charges pay. There is no interest rate and

you do not spend your own money. To get this process started, you do NOT

give us your card details. Instead of that, we give you a company's bank

account # and routing #,  and you use them to clear a certain $ amount

to get the company's money for shopping.

Here is the process one more time:

1) I give you the company's bank account number and routing number via email

2) you use the account to one of your charged credit card (by phone or

online)

3) you do the draw of certain $ amount from the company's account #

(could be the same as your balance is)

4) we wait 12-24 hours till the credit card company confirm the

available credit on your card

5) you start buying the goods from posted company's amount

You can start with one or few cards at the same time.

Please read over the attached file. It explains how the transaction

process works.  Let me know if you do understand the process and ready

to proceed with a 1st transfer. You should simply choose a credit card

you would like to start. For example:  I want to start with my Chase

credit card with credit line of $8,300 and the outstanding balance/bill

amount of $8,200.

If you get some questions about the process, please call me back .

You can always try this position during the beginning 2 weeks period

like a part time,  and make a final decision after.
