QED Groups paid me for services rendered with a fake check. I tried to deposit it into my bank (BMO in Sebastopol, California) and after several attempts by the teller, was referred to the bank manager who confirmed that this is not a real check. I called the branch listed on the check in Ottawa and they confirmed that QED Groups is not a customer and couldn't find the account number in their system. This client tried to get me to provide them with my bank account and routing number but i refused to do so. They also stole my intellectual property.

I believe this is the same person as David Kalman—accused in 2018 of forging cheques and not fulfilling payments for events with the company dHack.
