Earlier this year I was having trouble finding a job.  So, this one job contacted me to work from home to ship items.  I was actually shipping me items to ship for them.  I was logging on to a website.  They were sending Ipads, house hold supplies, beauty products, clothes etc.  I was suppose to get paid once a month.  I would have to wait ten days.  I did not receive my check.  I started investigating into the business.  Then I reached out to the business and they did not respond to any of my emails.  I started getting worried because I sent them my ID and my SSN.  I really worried about my identity because it has been a few months.

My son applied on Indeed and later received a job offer for the position of Virtual Assistant with Black Bear Energy Resources. The contact name was Anne Tawney. After he accepted, they were going to send him a check for $4250 that he was to deposit in his account and use to purchase the laptop and other supplies for remote work. When he questioned the practice and asked to speak with the person, they disappeared .

I was looking for a home-based job. A lady sent me a message on messenger asked for my information including my State ID.

They asked me questions that any manager would ask in a interview. I called the company on the website and spoke to Carol who said no they are not looking for any help and that this was a scam.

Ever since applying to a job last month on June 14th, 2023, I keept getting swarmed by emails and text messages for job interview requests of positions and companies I NEVER applied to. These are scammers and they keep contacting me with new numbers and email addresses with the motive to attain more personal information. They already have my full name, phone number and email address. Please stop them. They won't leave me alone. I have so many scam emails and texts. Please help.

Saw add on facebook, provided financial information, got sent a check and ledger with my atm number and bank information attached. Communicated through a person via text and now my bank account is frozen, I also had to buy gift cards, i know classic scam but I have all evidence, except now the website is not valid

I got scammed by this company because I thought I was being hired by them for a virtual assistant position. They had me filing paperwork, sorting information in spreadsheets. I was told I would be compensated every week 726 for my work. When it came time for payday my manager "Diana Robcon" told me the company was mailing me a check for $4850.00. This included 2 weeks of my pay 1452 and the rest was for purchases the company wanted me to make. I deposited the check July 3rd and it cleared on July 6th. The morning of July 6th my manager emailed me my duty for the day and said I need to send these clients money to get resources. I did what my task was and sent out the allocated money. Friday July 7th i tried to make a purchase of $3.45 and my card was declined. Found out the check was cancelled and they pulled the money from my account leaving me with a negative balance. The email address i was provided no longer worked, all my emails would not send. The phone number that was being used for communication no longer works. I really need some help getting my money back and this problem rectified. Hopefully this scam doesn't happen to anyone else. I have attached the check that I deposited below

Company sent me multiple e checks to deposit into my bank and use to get equipment needed for the job. All was fine until 7/12 when they insisted on me using my own money after PayPal held my money instead of paying the vendor.

Scammer Name: (Trafalgar Travel Group) I was emailed offering a job that i didn't apply for. Luckly I have encounted with these type of emails and knew how to handle the situation.

I applied for a job on Indeed to work for a Customer Service Representative at the IRS. Danielle Bethune- Bergeron contacted me from a Gmail account she requested and received a copy of my Driver's license front and back and my social security number. Then, she requested my username and password to my IRS ID account so that she could allegedly link the account to the system. I gave it to her, but after she insisted that I further give her additional information I became suspicious and changed my IRS ID password. This did not sit right with her, and she insisted that i give her my ID account password, after i refused and told her I had a friend working at IRS and was going to contact them about their hiring processes she stopped all communication and stopped the process. Can she use my information to steal my identity?

Received an email from a Taylor Bastiste stating they wanted to offer me a job as a personal assistant for an art gallery. They stated they would be mailing me my first “assignment”, and my payment would be a check getting sent in the mail via UPS. A check for over $1,000 was sent and I was told to deposit the money in my account and send proof of me doing it. I automatically knew it was a scam because with every job I’ve had I would’ve done proper paper work regarding the position.

Saw a Facebook post on a market group for hiring at home positions. I was originally talking to someone through Facebook messenger then they sent me a code with Microsoft teams. Then had an interview there all communication was with teams. They then asked for my credit card sign on info which I gave along with pictures of my ID. Then they wanted to pay off the credit card and have me go pay for a visa gift card of 190$ as well as go buy the equipment for the job in gift cards and they will put the money in my checking account. I did not give that information to her. She originally said I would be sent the equipment through the company thro fed ex then that changed.
