I received a phone call from a lady with a strong accent with Biz Investment Management saying they saw my resume online and wanted to know if I was still looking for work. She stated they had a remote position available for part or full-time and that I would use my laptop until training was over, and then they would send me a work laptop. She stated that the position paid $3000 for training and then $59k per year for data entry and customer service. Was then asked a few interview-like questions like if I like to work well individually or with a team, have I ever missed a deadline, what do I do to ensure I don't miss a deadline, etc. Was then told that the manager would send me an email with the employee agreement form. I received the email with links. I never clicked on the email links and started googling the company. They do have a website, however, when I looked up the address in Florida, it was not a legitimate address and directed me to the street, but it was a residential area. After going back to the website, I noticed that there are several design errors in the website that a professional website would never have. I am a web designer, so these errors stood out quickly.

On December 3rd, I received a job opening for Pepvax as a Data imput specialist. It was going to be a remote position with benefits, 401k and they were going to pay $24 per hour. After submitting my resume, I received an email the following morning stating that I would need to download a messaging application called Signal to contact the hiring manager and schedule a time to conduct the interview. After contacting the manager, Catherine Larson, they conducted the interview via text. They informed me that I got the position and that they only need to know which bank I used to send me a check to buy materials that I would need to work the job effectively. They told me that when i received the check, I would have to order all products through their supplier. After the interview, I never received an email of employment and I was told that all my information about the job and beneifts would be sent to me after I deposited to check and order from their supplier. When the check came in, I was for $7558.55. That same day, Larson informed me that I needed to deposit it as soon as possible to start the process. This is when I took a step back and started researching if the company was a scam or not. I found that other individuals had gone through the same process and called it a scam as well. Lastly, I couldn't find the company on ScamPulse.com to validate the company.

I believe this is a scammer that is pretending to be PepVax.inc

This is s fake company advertising themselves with a salary range of 90K - 120K. The CEO works for a company under a different name than the originally job posting. They send a fake "interview" link to your personal email, while gathering your personal information. I believe there goal is to get your banking information within there "hiring" process.

I was emailed about a job opportunity that, in retrospect, sounded too good to be true. I responded to set up a first interview which was done over microsoft teams with an account whose name was listed as William Nathan. After answering the questions I was invited to complete a phone interview which I did. Within 48 hours I was offered the job and upon accepting this offer, I was given instructions on how to acquire my company equipment. To get the equipment I was emailed a check with a completely different company's information on it. This was very suspicious, so I called the company whos name was on the check, and the owner told me that I was the fourth person whom he spoke to regarding this scam.

I applied to 3 different Logistic companies. One issue with the other 2 Logistic companies based out of the same mentioned Address is they told me to call when I arrived (I showed up for in person interview and they sent me to voice mail when I showed up). After They received pictures of my State ID and Social Security Card I was told that I’d receive the date for training. I’ve called and let voicemails. I applied through indeed and they tried restarting the application process with me. Only for them to call, ring once and when I called back. No surprise I was sent to voicemail.

This was a vital interview through a google meeting. The interviewer told me he is going to record the meeting. The next thing he asked me is to show him my Id. I told him that is illegal and I cannot show him my Id because it can be used for identity theft or discrimination. He said he is not going to interview me because I refused to show him my Id. Found job on indeed.com and applied. Received confirmation email from [email protected] that my application and resume was being reviewed. 2 days later received an email from Jeremy Penny (email address on previous page) with some job benefit and pay details and that the company name is Beartooth Group and that I would have to download Signal Messenger app to schedule interview with Mrs. Cynthia Pabon, the assistant hiring manager, and adding her# 704-559-9955. Before I added or sent her a message, I googled the number and the BBB.org is saying it's bogus. Hopefully, nothing else will happen.

I applied to a job advertisement on Dice. A person from Dexian emailed me and requested that I send him my updated resume and my Driver's licence. He told me he is recruiting for Carefirst and he had to get my DL in order to submit my resume to Carefirst. Carefirst official website has a warning saying that they do not ask candidates to give their confidential information on email or text.

I think the person is fishing. I applied for a job through indeed.com. I never applied for a job at: "Unipart Group". The person was able to get my phone number from Indeed. They may have signed up as an Employer and then carefully curated a list of potential victims via the victims resumes and preferences. When asked how my phone number was acquired, the person did say they got it from indeed.com and that I did not directly apply to them. During what they called a "Job Interview" it seemed as though they were using some sort of AI enhanced language model to generate what they believe is professional etiquettes. They said they were going to ask me some questions and then strangely generated a job resume from the person I was supposedly speaking to. To make things cleared, I was suppose to be speaking to someone called, "Mr.s Charlotte Armstrong of Unipart Group" on the Microsoft teams app. This, ARmstrong, asked me for a resume but then generated her own resume as if she was trying to get hired by me. This is most likely a sign of someone who doesn't speak English well and is attempting to leverage something like CHATGPT.

This is the real text message below to my phone:

Scammer number below:

239-677-4875

Good Day Prospective Employee, I'm Ms. Vicki Hooper from (UNIPART GROUP). currently reaching out to you in regards to your resume being approved for the Remote position of a Customer Service/ Data entry role with us, with a pay rate of $40 per hour.

Kindly download and set up Microsoft Teams App on your device at https://www.microsoft.com OR Google Playstore / Appstore.

Then add the HR manager, Mrs. Charlotte Armstrong using this Link: ************************************************** and send a message to commence the online interview/briefing and comprehensive job details ASAP, Your job code is UG54b2. Best Regards. Thank you!

I have broke correspondence with this entity, as nothing about this process feels professional and many people have reported a scam like this already. Albeit, too late, the scammer has my real name, phone number and Email. My name and Email is my own fault. But I am stead fast in believing they signed up on Indeed as an employer in order to access victims.

Kristina sent me a message on WhatsApp about a part time online job for Farfetch. She trained me on how it’s done. After investing in the business she is refusing to release my money to me. I reached out to Farfetch New York and they said they don’t recognize that job.

This is the second email I am getting from this company. I sent it in for a back round check as an independent contractor in the summer but realized too late it was a scam.

I have been job hunting for a few weeks and have lost track of who I’ve even applied for. But when I got a job from Eden Presley for a remote job that would be a 25 hour work week for $59/hr, I was really excited! The pay seemed maybe a bit too high and I didn’t remember applying to them. But I figured I’d give it a shot! I did an online interview through Wire (I still have the chat saved if needed), then got a phone call telling me I was accepted for the job! But things still didn’t feel right; I also have anxiety and I wanted to make sure this whole thing was really happening. But after checking everything, I found this complaint with the exact same phone number and the exact same steps I took for this job offer. I haven’t replied to anything else and have filled out any more forms.
