I received a text from 941-289-3765 claiming to be Bethany, the Executive Assistant for Mr. Josh Kreuger, the owner of the Krueger Agency. They stated that he had reviewed my resume online and thought I would make a great fit in their agency. They stated they wanted to schedule an interview online for the next day at 6pm (MST). Then requested I follow the provided link to confirm my registration for the interview and provide a screenshot back to them. The link they provided is emirr.co/c/v7Ayk. I did not click on the link, so I am unsure of what details they may be trying to request of if they are trying to get money. I immediately blocked the number.

Applied for a Job at TGL Partners on Indeed, I received a text from 912-274-2631 saying they wanted to speak to me to go over a few details and potentially schedule an interview and to call 727-478-8545. I searched the internet for this company and found nothing. I asked for a physical address and I was sent a link https://wwwthelondongrougllc.com and an address 2807 W Bush Blve. Ste 140 Tampa Fl 33618. the link seemed suspect so I did not click on it. I googled the address and it came up as Sunshine State Promotions Inc.

Reached out via email saying he got my resume through Linkedln for a remote data entry position at Ambulero, Inc. Created a job interview questionnaire and an official offer letter, along with a check, which I did not deposit. Responded very quickly to all my emails. I emailed the actual company to verify the job offer but they haven’t responded yet.

I was offered a "Job" through email from someone named Zach Owlet. Everything was via email and they sent a check to cash and inform them so we could buy the equipment.

- Homestead, FL, USA • Dec 07, 2024

I was looking for a job on Glassdoor and the person asked me for my email to send me the details of a remote job at a Christian school as a communications specialist. I sent them my email. The person, Beth Anderson, then asked me to complete employment forms along with my banking account information for direct deposit. I completed the information and returned the forms as it seemed legitimate at the time. I didn't think anything of it until after they sent me a check to deposit for my home equipment which I had to buy from them. They then sent me an invoice for the equipment which I was to use the check sent to me to buy the equipment. They wanted the money to be wired to the company for the equipment which I did and that is when everything fell apart. I called Encore Pro Staffing and found out that Encore Pro Staffing did not hire remote people as they hired for labor positions in Tulsa, OK. The letterhead and address on the onboarding paperwork looked legit and I did look them up before but missed looking more into the website before all of this happened. I have the email and all correspondence for the people who frauded me but the one person who I did a virtual interview with deleted his profile once they got their money. I don't think she deleted her information as she may had been set up to do this unknowingly as she continued to contact me afterwards asking me about continuing the onboarding process. I was told to download an app similar to What's App for the interview. The app was Wire. They asked me to download wire, create an account, and contact @peterhimanen at: Hiring Manager: Peter Himanen; Note: Text Based and Voice Call Interview; Interview Code: EPS-107NW. I have all contact correspondence.

I applied on ZipRecruiter, and I got an email the next day saying how qualified I was for the job. I wanted to see if it really was true, the interview was only through messages on Microsoft Teams, no phone call or anything. They promised $35hr and a flexible schedule, it seemed too good to be true, I passed the interview, and he told me the next step was training but before that I had to give him a lot of information about myself. At that point is where I stopped, I knew it was fake not only that, but I kept going on their website they have a few and tried to call multiple times but it was just disconnected.

I applied for a data entry clerk position through LinkedIn last week (end of November). On Tuesday, Dec 3rd, I received an email from someone claiming to be the Human Resource Officer and that my resume had been received and reviewed. The email was an invite for an interview to discuss qualifications and suitability. I replied back stating yes, I was still interested in the position. That evening I received another email, from the same Human Resource Officer. This email gave a little more information on the job position and included a questionnaire that was being asked to complete. It was stated that this questionnaire needed to be filled out promptly due to the high volume of candidates applying. It was about 20 questions of what would normally be asked in an interview. The questions did pertain to a data entry or data analysis position. I spent quite a bit of time answering and submitted the questionnaire Thurs, Dec 5 about 8pm CST. By 10pm CST I received a reply back that my questionnaire had been received and was being reviewed. I was told a supervisor would be looking at it and if felt I was a good candidate, I would be contacted. My first red flag this was a scam was the fact a company who's address showed as Miami, FL was emailing me back so late in the evening. They work that late? Then this morning. Dec 6, I received 2 emails, one from the same person as before congratulating me on getting the position and welcoming me to the company. The email stated I would be receiving a job offer letter with more information. That was the 2nd email, still from the same person. This email had attachments of an I-9 form, a W-4 form and the job offer letter. The letter looked official with a company logo and a signature from the Human Resource Director but no where on the form was there a phone number to contact them. This was another red flag.

I began wondering how they could hire me within a 72 hr period from contacting me without ever talking to me personally or conducting a video interview, no background check, etc. So I started researching and found others on Redditt were complaining about this same company and how it was a scam. That the company website seems to be a copy from a company in another state, that they found this company's domain had only been registered since Oct 2024 even though the website stated they were 11 years old and that the ScamPulse.com had no record of this company. When googling the address that showed on the email, the address belongs to an entirely different company.

This job offer stated computer equipment would be supplied but that I would have to pay the taxes on it. They stated I would get a $400 stipend upon my week training. Another red flag, who only gives 1 week of training?

Dear xxxxx,

I wanted to follow up regarding the shipping assistant position we discussed. We’ve recently expanded our search, so this fully remote opportunity is now available to qualified candidates nationwide, not just those located in xxxxxxx, New Jersey.

This role offers a starting salary of $3,500 per month, with the potential for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. To be eligible, candidates should have a U.S. mailing address and be available to work during standard business hours (Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.). Your main responsibilities would include updating shipment statuses and preparing packages for delivery. Additionally, we cover all related job expenses, so there are no costs on your end.

If this opportunity seems like a good fit, I’d be happy to share more details—just let me know!

Best regards,

Rachel Hill

Executive HR Manager

P.S. A fun coincidence – my mother’s maiden name is also xxxxxxxxx!

The scammer posted job applications for Marketing & Design roles. As part of their application, they would require candidates to do a "Take Home Assessment". This take home assessment involved doing real client work, where the applicant's work would be directly used and sold to their clients. For example, they asked to redesign https:/********************* , and specifically referenced the assignment as client work. There are other instances of reports of this on their glassdoor reviews, so I believe this to be a widespread issue.
