Recently, I’ve been filling out applications and usually I will get a thanks for applying email. I received one from this company, but I’d really don’t remember filling out an application for them. I’m not sure if they took information from LinkedIn or what but they sent me an email here are the emails listed below:

I am looking for a work from home job, a gentleman name James called my cell phone and said that he was a Mr. Douglas Ross personal assistant and that Mr. Ross would like to have a Zoom meeting to interview me. I logged into the zoom meeting, Mr. Ross asked me the standard interview questions, said he was going to talk to his upper management and get right back to me. He returned and said that I was hired as a customer service rep and to follow these instructions to the letter. He was going to Fedex me a check, I was to take $150.00 as a sign on bonus and use the rest to purchase designated software, he supplied me with a VERY long list of software programs to buy and said that as soon as the check arrived, I was to follow the instructions in the letter that was with the check. I just got the check and it sounded like a scam so I called the ScamPulse.com and it is , so I'm filling out this report. The check is from Salerno Community in Miami Florida, the check is written for $4,820.00. I was told to email a Lucas Allen who worked in the payment/hiring dept. as soon as I got the check. Then I was to cash the check, and send copies of the deposit slip and any other receipts to [email protected]. I hope this helps anyone else who gets tied up in this monkey business. I am going to destroy the check and letter and block them from all my devices.

I was contacted by someone on my cellphone and i think the message came in through linkden . The message said or was looking for employees to go to work for them. I agreed and for a week everything went as expected. Then when I wanted to retrieve my salary the software they were using wouldnt pay out what i had earned unless i match an amount which they gave me. I did that cause they indicated my percentage would go way up on what i could make. When i made the deposits the software again came back and said i had to match a certain amount. I did so. I then figured out this was all a scam and i asked for my money back. I couldnt get it. I then made them an offer if they would give me back half i would just quit the job and go about on my way. they refused. so i am out 1636.00. I have all the corresspondance and screenshots. I feel i was taken advantage of because i am disabled and maybe dont quite understand how things work.

The same thing happened to me as described, they called me from Qmed Pharma for the Data Entry position, after a supposed text interview. No calls or video calls; he sent me the questions to answer, around 20. I answered them to find out how far he would go. I could see that his answers at the end were somewhat rough for someone who works in human resources and is trying to hire someone. Like “understood” at the end of the sentence, or how you didn’t see what I asked you. rudely, so he immediately gave me a ?? Red Flag. In the end he told me about having another interview, which turned out to be the 3rd since he first wrote to me via text from his cell phone, then he made me enter teams where he asked me the questions sent all together to be answered and he was trying to interview me again the next day at the same time to give me a supposed answer. Which he did not accept and I proceeded to block him from Teams, first because it gave me a bad feeling and I trust my intuition. Second, because so many interviews without seeing who hired you is strange and third, I read this information that was very helpful allowing me to confirm my suspicions that something was wrong.

Name from the Text: Stephanie Berkley ( the recruiter)

Name of the Human Resource: Paul Hoffman

Name of the company: Qmed Pharmaceuticals LTD

I applied to a job posting as a file clerk - hybrid in Colorado Springs for $30/hr on Indeed for Y&L Consulting. I received an email stating I was selected for an interview, to download the "Signal" app and add the hiring manager Mr. Alexander V. Rios, through his SIGNAL ID: +1 626-681-2649. Once added, you can proceed to schedule an interview by sending a message or a request. I did this. "He" responded that the full interview would be through text on this app.

I called Y&L Consulting Inc headquarter office at 210-340-0098, spoke with Leah who confirmed that scammers are posing as Y&L Consulting Inc. If the posting was for Y&L Consulting LLC it was not legitimate, they are working on getting the scammer shut down. She did transfer me to one of their recruiters, Autumn, to discuss actual openings at their company. I left a message on Autumn's voicemail.

I did not continue the conversation on "Signal" with Alexander Rios.

Hello my name is Robert *****, I am 22 years old. I was out searching for jobs on linkedin and Zip recruiter when I got a notification from this company Primetime. I was super excited, anxious, and nervous. They promoted that the job pays anywhere from about 350-1500 can’t remember if it was biweekly or weekly, I worked 6 days and everyday was 8 hours or more and received a check for $106 and some change, I heard of another girl who worked there for a few weeks longer than me and she received $170. Right when you think it couldn’t get worse it does . At least 2-3 of people/friends I got to sign up with this company have had black market activity on their social securities, 1 of them said their social security was stolen. I quit working here 6 days in because I thought what they were doing didn’t seem right, and they paid me less than $5 an hour along with others, I just want them to not waste anyone else’s time and money, i spent $800 on suits, shoes, ties, socks, belts, cologne, all for this company to be a fail and a scam. Please don’t let them keep doing this to people and taking peoples identity. Thank you

I applied for a job on Upwork.com *********************************************** on August 10, 2024. I received a text message from someone claiming to be Bill Fabrocini of VibeRoller and stated that he was rebranding his products and going on a 12 state tour to advertise and put the products in different retail stores. He needed a virtual clerical assistant to work with vendors to book conferences, food vendors, lighting and flyer vendors. The start date would be in September 2024. Unfortunately, I signed a contract for $600 a week, received texts and emails about the job duties, but when I did research on Youtube regarding Bill Fabrocini, the voice sounded different than the person I was speaking with.

We never did a video meeting, everything was agreed upon over the phone and text message. I reached out to Bill Fabrocini's different websites to verify if the person I was speaking with was really him, but I haven't heard anything back yet.

I have spoken with the person that I signed the contract with telling him that I wasn't comfortable with the nature of communication with him and "email only" communication with vendors, therefore, I would be voiding the contract and not to use my name, signature or license for future business dealings.

Did you ever find out it the person you were talking to was Bill Fabrochini?

I was recently texted by someone claiming to be this person after applying for a job on Upwork. I thought texting was very strange instead of messaging on Upwork or replying to my proposal at all. I have not agreed to anything yet. I was doing my research and came across this. Please let me know if you ever receive an answered.

The Job Landing Experience. I applied on the website which is now down. It rerouted me to an Acquity scheduling website and I purchased the NON-PHONE RESUME package with my credit card. I got an email with the confirmation purchase and another email for an appointment that was supposed to be for 8/13/2024 for 3:30pm. I never received the appointment, no one called, and when I did my research, I found out that other people had been scammed as well.

I was offered a remote, work from home position by one Olive Blair who claimed to be working in HR for Openwire Agency. I interviewed with them via telephone, and I began employment on August 1,2024 after discussing salary, expectations, and after filing out all the new hire paperwork and onboarding. I was then instructed to wait for a trainer to reach out via Telegram to begin my training. An Adam Dohan contacted me and said he'd be my trainer. After a week of training activities and tests I went to sign in for work on Monday at my scheduled time and the entire telegram chat had been deleted and I was unable to reestablish contact with my trainer I have not heard anything from anyone and I am unable to contact them. I also have not been paid for either my training or my work as I was told I would be.

The openwire page lists them as being based out of Tel Aviv Israel

They called me regarding an "application" that they saw on indeed. I did not apply to them as i was randomly contacted by them for a job as a customer service rep. I was hired in December 2023 after an in person interview where i had to fill out forms and supply my id and ssn. I was then told that I had to pay $35 for a background check. I had to cashapp them the money. Once hired i was given a random phone to call "clients" for bartending opportunity and to bring them in for an interview. I was promised "commission based payment that would roll into a hourly pay position. The job had us read a script, call people who responded to an ad on craigslist or indeed and tell them about the "opportunities". I was with them for a month and was never paid for what i was owed. In return i had people call my personal number threatening me and that was when i left the "job" . I tried callinf them in regards to getting my pay for my time there but never got the money. Melanie who ran the business told me that they dont have the money to pay for electricity and other expenses each time i called.
