I applied for a job on indeed.com for a remote opportunity. Michael from xremote jobs then contacted me and schedule a zoom meeting. The meeting went well and as was set to start with the company for remote work May 1st.

May 2nd, I received the documents from xremote jobs such as a w9 form and a docusign contractor documents. The first paragraph asks for my banking information and mentions that it approves withdraws from my account in any errors which raised the first red flag.

Further investigation on this xremote jobs leads me to a Michael A White in Dania Beach Florida that has opened 6 other businesses within the past 6 months. The business address also points to a home address.

Attached is the contract that was sent through docusign. I believe this guy either targets employees other businesses posing as the BBB, which is the work that was called and also is mentioned in the contract.

I was searching for remote jobs online. I received an email from someone named ****** ******* *** He said that I would be a remote personal assistant and handle tasks for him since he is always traveling. He sent a check for 3450.00 to take out 2450.00 and send it to a ******* *****r through western union and that I keep. $1000. I did a mobile deposit of the check but something didn’t feel right and I rushed to my bank and made them aware of the situation. They may have to put my account on hold because of it.

Someone posted on a military spouse page stating that positions were open at their workplace. They ended up getting me in touch with their Hiring manager to which I was interviewed via a series of questions on Microsoft Teams all in text form so no face-to-face and no audio calls. After my interview, they instructed me to wait 20 minutes so my interview could be reviewed by the "Head Department". After waiting the time limit I passed the interview and scored 94% out of 100%. The Hiring manager, Jacob Richardson, instructed me to monitor my email tomorrow as I would be receiving my offer letter. I would also be receiving an Apply macbook laptop as well as the funds to purchase the required software for the job. One thing to note is that Jacob Richardsons Microsoft Teams account came up as Keving Mclane. I am trying to make contact with PPG HR department but it is Saturday and they open at 0700 on Monday.

I was contacted via email from a posting on LinkedIn, I was the position was Supply Chain Logistics and that I could make $3500 every two weeks I was sent 1099 and W2 forms but they indicated not to include my SSN they said after 2 weeks they would provide me with a company credit card and essentially I would be purchasing items and mailing to various locations. For the initial 2 weeks I was told they would pay off my credit cards and then in turn I would purchase these products and that I'd receive an additional $1,000. I was suspicious but initially filled out some of the paperwork, where it began to get suspect is paying off my credit cards and me purchasing items I'd still be in the hole for the balance on the cards but I don't want to have any fraudulent charges on my credit report. Why do people do this?

- El Paso, TX, USA

I applied for an open position via Indeed, then they ended me an email to download an app called Signal and started with interview questions, and at the end, they wanted my bank information.

- Elk Park, NC, USA

Primex first contacted me through rext. I was then asked to download the telegram app and add the username (Anton Shammas). The interview was completed via that app. It was a normal interview process. After the interview I was informed that they found that I was a suitable fit. For the week after that they kept in contact. I was sent my employment package. This included paperwork to fill out for my direct deposit, employment acceptance, and code of conduct signage. I was then sent via UPS a check to deposit and use to purchase my working equipment. (online/work from home job) I was then asked to purchase a printer with part of the check and then to send certain amounts of the check via cashapp and zelle. The contacts given for cashapp were $karenFigeroa90 and $Melmescill4 aka Melissa Sandoval. For Zelle the contact given was [email protected] aka Karen Fabio. They then attempted to make me purchase Bitcoin and the wallet I was to send this to was (bc1q550g0nawt7xrcnn2kxj783le93s2wqgjr8hjl9) . At this point I became suspicious so I went by my bank. I was informed that it was in fact a scam.

Got text from Peter Todd 217-955-3845 Said he was fr Talanx Group and that I was approved for interview by his company with Elizabeth Tallman on Skype.

Had lengthy interview and afterwards she said I got position. But never got video on Skype and thought it was weird. Then she started asking if I had bank account set up on my mobile and that I needed to get equipment and software. They were going to send me a check to print and deposit. That is so strange.

And I could only buy from where they indicated. Too weird for me. Also ended up getting another text from another ph# that said same thing with different name same company. What BS

I received a text asking if I would be interested in a remote position as a Purchasing Manager for $55/hour. I had applied for several similar remote positions thru LinkedIn, so I assumed it was a result of one of those applications. The "recruiter" said I would need to set up an app on my phone called ChatWork and then contact the hiring manager at Dermaliq, **** ****** I looked up **** ***** on line and there is such a person who works at this company, but he is a technical manager, not an HR person who might be conducting interviews for a purchasing manager.

The job description they provided seemed very legitimate and well written and in line with my experience and the company appears to be a real company in Delaware called Dermaliq Therapuetics. The strange thing was that the "interview" was just an on-line interactive text chat with what I think was a chat-bot. Did not respond like a real person. During the text interview, they were getting around to asking me for my drivers license and other documents when I saw this post about it being a possible scam. I just stopped the interview chat immediately and deleted the app on my phone. If it was indeed a scam, it is a very sophisticated one.

I was applying for data entry jobs and someone contacted me saying "Good morning (name)" out of the blue. I was like wtf but then they said that Laurie Hunter would contact me on Microsoft Teams for my job interview so I was excited and said ok. This Laurie Hunter person sounded like a robot through text and at first they were very nice and asked me questions about my experience. They made me send them a I-9 form, a W-4 form, and a 1-65 form with all my personal information so that's cool, they have all my personal **** now. Then they said they would have me deposit a check to my bank for software to use and when I was looking up the software I noticed other people had gotten similar messages with similar typing. When I questioned them about it, they said "Kindly decline the position and stop the accusations" and that's when I knew IMMEDIATELY. A real employer would never tell me to stop the accusations and would provide evidence that they're real. Now I'm upset because they have all my personal information and I didn't know it was a scam. They did not get any money from me. Please track down the email [email protected] and get them arrested for scamming please.

Was texted "Good day, I am MRS. PATRICE DAWSON one of the recruiters of Talanx Group. I am contacting you in regards to your resume you posted that has been reviewed and approved by oour company on a position with a pay of $30 hourly. " This was 2nd text after I figured out the first one was a scam. They asked me to buy equipment needed for job but only where they said I could buy from. They were going to send me a check to deposit, but I had to print it myself and deposit it. I just thought that was weird.

Applied for on-line data entry clerk. Received text messages was asked to down load telegram app. I did and went on with I thought to be interview. I gave out only name of bank no other info pertaining to banking, gave out photo of driver license front and back. They asked for other info. ( not given). After they said I was hired. they sent a check from a different state in the amount of $4850.00 for equipment. Called my bank to see if it was legit they said no. Took the check to a local bank they informed me it was good. Anyway with all this being said I just want to make sure my identity is not stolen just because I gave out my DL. Went to the local Police Department and was advised that this was what they call fishing. In looking at my phone today the original texting with first people has been removed on their part. If any further information is needed such as copy of the check please contact me. Feel free to reach out to me on any other information you would like.

Was texted an initial offer for an interview, saying they found my resume on indeed and thought I would make a good candidate. The job was high paying so I said yes and tried to set up for an interview today. The interviewer never showed up to the initial meeting and then later redirected me to a secondary party. That party (who's primary contact was via gmail instead of a company site) conducted the interview over chat in microsoft teams. The questions were very obviously copy and pasted in and they asked for my banking information and phone carrier. The whole of the conversation read as someone who's second language was english... very choppy, but since the parent company was based in China I tried to stay open minded. Overall they haven't asked me for money or more personal info yet but the whole thing feels sketchy. Don't open any documents or click any links they send you, just in case. I didn't just out of habit on my end.
