I was approached about a job position and offered a position and started training. I did fill out typical employment paperwork. I did research the company and honestly everything seemed legit. Until I received a check.

I was sent the following email and job offer after I applied via LinkedIn. The scammer then called me and asked for personal information such as name, DOB, location etc. He then stated he would be forwarding my information to HR and they would be sending additional documents for me to fill out to hire me. I have yet to receive the additional email.

" I am pleased to extend the following offer of employment to you on behalf of House of Hope Investment Group. We want to offer you a completely remote work of a Personal Assistant. We believe that your knowledge, skills and experience are suitable for our House of Hope Investment Group.

Position:

House of Hope Investment Group is offering a: full time/part time position for you as Personal Assistant. In this position, you will report to Internship leader.

Working hours:

This is a full time: 8am - 5pm / part time: 8am - 12 pm. Your regular weekly schedule will be from Monday to Friday.

Compensation:

Salary For the position of Personal Assistant, House of Hope Investment Group offers a salary of $33.45 an hour. You will be paid on a every 2 weeks.

The first month, all employees undergo paid internship. During this period, they get acquainted with the main job responsibilities and gain knowledge and experience that will be useful to them in their future work.

Scammer posted a job ad for essay reviewers. Scammer asked for previously written samples of work, plus a new written essay. Scammer did not respond to inquiries to delete previously submitted samples. Scammers website is quite generic and has no contact info, privacy policy, etc.

Job offer received stating the following:

On behalf of Company I have sent you the offer of employment earlier today. We are fully interested in your various experience because we are looking to grow our business in your area. Could you please acknowledge receipt of my E-mail with 3 (three) attachments from 05/22/2023 and subject: "Job offer from IBW company - Start details" . the 1st PDF file under your name is the official Job Offer letter the 2nd PDF file Job Official Duties the 3rd PDF file Acceptance PayRoll Form If you can't find the email in your inbox, check your "Junk" folder. The email may have been inadvertently marked as spam. These three attachments will explain your Base Salary $5700 pay biweekly + Bonuses + Hours + the Job main Duties and Responsibilities. It's NOT a Sales position. It's a procurement and supply chain job. It is currently work from home (remote) position which will start from an office in 1-2 months, or you continue keep working as a work from home employee permanently. Bill Green said he would be sending money to my personal credit card but stated NOT to give him my CC number. To just let me know what CC company the card is from. They would send IBW routing number and bank account. I told him I never heard of an employer sending company money to a personal credit card. I asked him again because it did not make sense. He said go find another job and don't bother me again. Also what bothered me, is he did not answer the phone saying IBW.

A job fair for the unifi aviation company at a hotel i was hired on the spot and they made a copy of all my personal informatio and i never heard from the company again. Ive been looking oline for a contact number but dead end.please help.

I received a text message first that said, "Hello _________ This is Michael W Mint. I hired you as my personal assistant. I just emailed you now read and confirm. I did receive an email from him that said, "I'm more than happy to inform you that your position has been confirmed. I had to verify all the information you provided hope I'll have your %100 diligence. Your quick response to e-mails and effectiveness will be required as you will be receiving your first assignment very soon. I will get back to you as soon as I have payment for errands and your salary sent to you with set of Instructions on each task you are to perform. You are to dress properly like you are in an office environment whenever handling your assignment. Please note that this job requires you to check your email 2-3 times daily as your total commitment is however needed. A two weeks notice is required if you want to terminate this job so please acknowledge receiving my email and have a wonderful day. I also sent a text message .Thanks in anticipation of your prompt respoBest regards,

Michael W Mint Foam Arts Creations. I returned the text message and said I was interested and looked forward to hearing from him. The next text message I recieved' " Thank you I got your email your first assignment will be mail to you tomorrow through UPS and I will be returning on June 14th so we should be able to" and the text stopped there. That is when I googled this and found it had been reported as a scam.

Was sent a check for $2,450 in compensation for a “secret shopper” job I never applied for. I was instructed to deposit the check and use it to buy gift cards and send the money to the company.

I applied for a job on LinkedIn they sent me an email to schedule an instant messaging interview from the [email protected] email. I then looked it up because their English was very bad and the picture on Zoom for the interviewer was blurry and the email was sketchy that it wasn’t @citrusAD.com instead it was @aol. So many red flags.

I applied for a position that was posted on indeed and Linked in. I actually contacted the employer and it states that they are not currently hiring. I was sent an email offering employment and asking for my personal information from [email protected]

Text message stated:

"I’m Mrs. Samantha Buswell. One of the recruiting staff members of the Expedia Group Your posted resume has been reviewed, and you are qualified for an interview for either customer service representative, data analyst, payroll clerk, data entry, Online Chat Specialist, or business analyst remotely. Please reply to this text with "Yes, I am interested" so I can provide you with more details regarding the position."

I work as a graphic designer and they gave me work of creating logo templates for different businesses. I had four days to complete the work of ten logo's and get paid 3,500 dollars. I completed the work and then went to go get paided. When I did, they said I needed to pay 200 dollars in service fees, then another 300 for an ID card, and then 500 for a verification to go through with the ID card, then 1,000 to "receive" my payment, with them holding it over my head I would get reimbursed my money.

This company is a scam. They emailed me and said they had found my resume on Careerbuilders and that I was a good fit for a job they had. I emailed them my phone number to call me. Instead, they sent me two job offer letters - without interviewing me. They said they had an asset manager and an investment manager role and I could pick whichever role I wanted. At that point I called the number listed on their website and found that it is bogus. I did some research and found that there are three other companies listed at their Canada address. I also believe they are the same scammers behind Gux- it; a company that scammed a woman in 2019. When I asked for their office number to call them they they got nasty.

I got an email from Aaron Kale asking me to interview for a position with EMMES. the interview was done through ring central app and he refused to speak with me over the phone. I received an offer letter the following business day - the letter was clearly a scam you could see the photoshopped company logo. I confronted him about it and asked them to call me and they completely ghosted me. Here is the job description they gave me as well (too good to be true):

This position was created due to the upgrade in our database; our aim is to target more employees who will

work from home or anywhere of their choice any as this is strictly an online work from home. The working

hours are flexible, employees can choose to work in the morning, afternoon, or evening. The regular pay-rate

is $44/hour and $40/hour during training, payment is bi-weekly through direct deposit.

Mark Twain sent me an email with a Skype link for a job interview for Sales Representative or Data Entry. We went through the interview. It asked for my bank name so I gave it. Lisa Flener is the person who interviewed me. Same type/process of interview. They introduced the company, what it does and that it is a growing company, hence the need for additional manpower. It is temporary work from home until a new branch is opened in the area where I lived. It took maybe 5 minutes and the lady came back to me and told me that I am accepted. She tells me the salary offer once I start and the salary while on training which is of course less than the hourly salary offer. I had another company that texted me, probably the same scheme, with a salary offer of .75 per hour more. So I asked Lisa if they could offer the same amount. She just told the salary they offered me and that salary offer of less than the salary offer. From there, I decided to disconnect, telling her that I would not accept and closed the Skype. I have number of emails from these scammers that I keeping in a folder. I could share those if anyone from the investigating agency would like to get a copy of them. I wish that action can be taken against these evil people.

I had been applying for jobs on LinkedIn and I got an email from melissa at house of hope investments talking about a job offer that’s completely remote at 33.85 an hour. I gave them my phone number and there was a guy with an accent on the other end and he asked me about my skills and qualities and then I asked him if he was the founder of the company and he said no he was in hr, so then I asked who the ceo of the company is because I was skeptical and he hung up.

I got an email of a job offer as a personal assistant from the company house of hope investment group what through me off at first was the pay was high and I had to do an internship process first, after they called for an interview which seemed like they weren’t interested, they asked for my location and skills, I still continued and then they made me sign a contract for the hiring process, after that I started the internship and I’m starting to think it’s just a scam because all they’ve done is give me tasks to do like put data on a spreadsheet, it seems legit but I get a feeling it’s a scam and might not get paid, I did give them my address which is what I’m worried about !
