- Saginaw, MI, USA

I was the victim of an organized scam as well as some of the people who i worked alongside. I applied for an ad on indeed and was messaged from these people to start working for them. They are proffesional scammers and falsified documents as long as stole my information and used it to get money. I have tons of evidence of it and have already made a police report to my local law enforcement. I am more than willing to include any information neccesary to get to the bottom of this. Please help me i am very scared because these people have my private info and are using my phone number to create fake text messages to convince these brokers and shippers and recievers that im the one whos stirring up trouble.

- Harrison, AR, USA

I was offered a Data Entry Position that had great benefits and a good pay. They said that they need my address to mail me a check to get the equipment that I need. This was after the interview and was offered the job. I received the check and I notified them. This is what I was told to do next.

“Here is what you should do, proceed to your Bank Teller/ATM and have the check deposited. Once deposited, funds would be made available for withdrawal the next day ( within 24 hours or less ). Send me a vivid scanned copy or photo shot of the deposit receipt for record purpose and to post funds to you overnight. For personal security purpose, you can erase your account information if there are any written on the receipt.”

So I took the check to get it looked at because it didn’t look right and sure enough the bank said that it is a scam.

I get emails like this on a daily basis and calls at all hours from these "recruiters".

The Jobs are always not the same state I am in and subpar pay.

I've attempted to remove myself from their database and they never comply.

The unsubscribe button on these emails always fails, due to possibly being fraudulent.

I was contacted about a job that I thought was one I applied for with the company listed as “confidential” on CareerBuilder. I was texted by a Stephanie Newton via text set up for an interview with a Tillman Glassford via Signal app. Seemed pretty standard as far as questions went and neither of the names mentioned here or the company name raised any red flags. However they sent me a check for “the purchase of office equipment” with a very sketchy letter and we’re pressing me to cash it immediately. I did not sign the offer letter or give them more than my name and email (the phone they got from my profile on the job site). I ceased all communication with them immediately. Please don’t get as deep into this as I did - and I’m glad I caught it when I did. After being out of the job market for 20 years I was nieve enough to almost fall for it and I’m kicking myself for it.

I was offered a job at this company and I worked for them for a month. I was supposed to be paid on October 17, but didn't receive any payment. Now they are avoiding my emails and have blocked me from accessing the website where I uploaded proof of my work.

- Burnet, TX, USA

She called me about a job offer and called me and emailed me about the offer and when I finally was able to talk to her on the phone, she immediately hired me after only asking 4 questions and asked if I could receive packages at my house and that she would provide the packing supplies as long as I could print out shipping labels.

- Waynesboro, VA, USA

The person first texted asking when I would be available for an interview. Then the person called and I missed it because to phone did not ring. Then this happened a 2nd time before we were able to connect over a phone call. It was explained that it is $75 a day and an extra $40 bonus if the package was delivered on time. The check would be received after a month of $3,000. If I completed the contract within 3 to 5 hours I would receive a bonus of $100 would be added to pay. When I read the contract it was suspicious. They also stated in the contract "All PICK UP ASSIGNEMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED IN THE GIVEN TIME FRAME FAILURE TO COMPLY employee will be subject for $700 deduction to your FIXED RATE $2250 -$700 new Basic pay will be equivalent to $1550." There were too many errors in this contract from spelling to format to grammatical errors. It was explained the company is 10 years old but when the address was researched I came up with a different company's name plus they were established in 1999. To many red flags. This needs to be stopped or investigated.

I was notified by a member on LinkedIn that someone offered her a job using my name as the HR Manager. Once I posted on LinkedIn about the scam multiple others (about 20 people) notified me they received the same email.

I was contacted via a website for jobs and offered possible position. After contacting the "employer" via a microsoft team link provided by them, an interview, via chat only, was preformed. They said i was hired with no background check done even though no criminal record would be required. They also said they would send me laptop and a check for purchasing software thru a vendor they use and only their vendor. Once I requested a verification that this was legit and mentioned current reports of ScamPulse.com scams using company name no response was received again.

This business took my information and never paid me for the training or my time I used to work for this company around July.

- Miami, FL, USA

I found Brisk Logistics on indeed.com unfortunately I was under the impression because I trusted indeed. I gave my information received a phone call signed things gave proof of identity, gave my address, along with my social security number. I then started within a couple of weeks of giving my information I waited until it was actually start and then I put in my primary bank information. I later changed my bank information. That’s gave them (Brisk Logistics) information to both of my accounts. This was in August/September of 2023. I began doing the packages which seemed to be returns. Unfortunately payday came which would have been October 8th in the amount of 2900 dollars. I did not receive payment I was kicked out of the system and received no more phone calls. I returned all the packages sent to me after that and I am now filing my complaint because it’s more than just using my information in which they have my signature, picture of my identification, my social security number, my phone, and my address which can all be used and copied and pasted. I have pictures as well as receipts because I thought I might need them just to be safe unfortunately I was right. This business is a scam and it’s not legit. It’s actually unsafe with them having my address.

I was contacted by email about a package inspection job. I would receive packages at home and I would inspect them and they would sent me shipping labels to resend packages. This was suppose to be a 30 day job and then I would get paid. After 30 days the company claimed to have been sold to another company and I was told that the new company would handle my payment. The new company informed me that they would not be able to pay me the money that was owed (which was $3,930) they told me that in order to get paid I would then have to work for there company and they would pay me my money over a 4 month timeframe. Only if I signed a contract with them and agree to allow them to open a business in my name.

Claiming to help you find remote jobs… they ask for your email, phone number, address etc

- Colorado Springs, CO, USA

It was a very elaborate scam. The job interview was via Microsoft Teams. I did not give out any bank information or social security number. They got my address, email and cellphone number. They UPS'd me a check for over 9,000 to purchase home office equipment. The next day my bank notified me after I deposited it that the check was not valid. The check came via UPS from COSTCO Business Center 1700 Mt Zion Rd Morrow GA 30260. When I told them the check was not clearing they asked if I had enough money to at least purchase the "Time Software" to start tracking my hours. To the tune of around $1,000. I said no. They offered to reissue the check and I dug deeper and found out it was a scam. Extremely well detailed and really seemed legit. Dodged a bullet but please beware!!

- Lawtey, FL, USA

The letter was sent priority mail through USPS. They paid $9.65 to have it sent to me. i also had to sign for the letter. at first i thought it was maybe from school.

- Huntersville, NC, USA

Contacted me about an employment and lead to them they were sending me a check to order equipment for the job. Rec’d the check, took to Chase Bank and it was a scam check. I keep trying to get to tell me more information and he would not commit any information. Then he went silent, no one is going to give you any money before you work. If they need to provide you equipment to work. It should be overnighted to you.

- Tampa, FL, USA

I went through an intensive interview with what I thought was the Compass Group it took hours - I took tests. Then they hired me and asked me to fill out employee paperwork. I did but left all my banking info out. They did get my SS# and DL# and a copy of my Florida DL. I worked a little on Monday and Tuesday mornings and it was strange. On Tuesday was told they would be sending me software and materials instead I got a check for $5,225.00. Then I was directed to go cash it into my personal bank account and right then knew SCAM SCAM SCAM and darn i am disabled and really need a job. have a home office and just need help. and now this is at least the 4th scam have had since moved to Florida five years ago. This is so bad for me. Alone in a strange state, trying to get a job, falling further behind and now just plain scared to live here Florida the home of the Scammers.

I have a lot of documentation I wrote everything down and copied all conversations they were tricky as they were able to remove their phone number off my caller ID and put in CompassGroup don't know how they could do this but shame on them Compass Group Org helps people lifts people helps people like me. Then they used a plastic company as the check provider (out of California)
