I responded to a job opportunity on Linkedin. An individual named Heather Pantalone from Drill Fever reached out to me about the job position and the organization. In the email she stated that she is super busy executive who is always traveling and cannot promptly reply to emails. She also stated that she does a lot of charity work and that at the present moment she was in Hawaii. I responded to her first email in a professional manner and I asked to schedule an interview. Several days later she emailed me that I was hired for the position and that she needed me to answer additional questions. I did not answer the questions, but simply stated that once we had a virtual interview I would respond to any questions. The next email I received she stated that she had mailed me a check in the amount of $2,850.00 dollars to be deposited into my bank account and that instructions on my first tasks (primarily handling payroll) will be sent to me shortly thereafter. I once again responded that I will not be doing any tasks. Well the check arrived. The Payor is ATLANTIC SALES & SALVAGE INC located in East Brunswick, NJ and the Bank the check is written on is COLUMBIA BANK also in East Brunswick, NJ. I did not deposit it. One week later I received a second check identical to the first. I also have not deposited it.

This scammer contacted me via ScamPulse.com and sent the following via ScamPulse.com

--Dear Sir/Ma I am Allison Spears, 35yrs Real Estate Title/Settlement Attorney - seeking a professional bookkeeper to help manage my business’s financial records. I would appreciate any information you could provide regarding your bookkeeping services, including pricing and availability. In particular, I am looking for someone experienced in bookkeeping for small businesses who can provide comprehensive services such as maintaining accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and managing business finances in an efficient and organized manner. If you could provide me with more information about your bookkeeping services, including your approach and any guarantees you offer, I would be grateful. Additionally, if you could provide me with a price quote or estimate for your services, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Best regards Allison Spears III [email protected]

I could not find the domain group listed in the email suffix. There is a Sage Title Group but no Sage Tittle Group.

I didn't notice the extra T in the email suffix, so I had replied to her thinking that she was a real potential client. She replied to my email with an attached image and and an attached pdf document. I did not open the image and the pdf document sent me to a website that my anti-virus software detected as malicious. I did not enter the web site.

I reached out to an email about a job on LinkedIn, I was replied to a few days later stating the job had been filled but there was an open position got a Personal Assistant to Heather Pantalone. She stated that she was very busy and would not reply right away, but I would be doing basic errands for “her” such as depositing money I received from her to organizations and charities. I did receive a check in the mail for $2850 from a Thomas Fino. I was told by my bank the funds would not be available for a few days, after relaying this information to “Heather” I was asked to use $1000 of my own money to pay for her errands and reimburse myself using the money deposited from the check. I declined to do this and have not heard from her since. However, my bank locked my account due to the check being fraud.

I received an unsolicited job offer via email from this company. It contained an attachment which I did not open due to potential viruses.

They had me gather roughly 100-120 of their “candidates” on excel as an “internship”. They asked for my ID on the first day but I refused to give it to them mainly since they refused to have a virtual interview with me of any kind and I could not find any of the “employers” online. They had me communicate via Webex. Here is the profile photo of the scam account.

GrabJobs.com has job scams all over their website. They published a fake job listing for Remote.co and Remote.co is not currently hiring. The listing is a scammer trying to scam innocent job seekers. Grabjobs.com is not a reputable job search site and it poses a threat to job seekers.

I was reached via text about a remote data entry position. I was told to upload Special Messenger. After going through the interview and getting the job i was asked for my bank account information, including login and password. Also, they wanted pictures of my credit card, saying they would pay it off. Then they asked me to get a Green Dot gift card.

They got mad when i wouldn't and got mad when they couldn't access my bank account. I did get a gift card for $25.00, told not to activate it, then they took the funds.

I was doing all of this in good faith.

The first person who sent me the text was Rodney Davis 440.222.7141. I was directed to George Herrera at 313.482.9957.

The next day i received another text directing me in the same manner to Teresa Janet at 361.233.5831. A Julie Clark responded on Special Messenger with the same interview tactic. When i told her i was dealing with George she said " Be smart. We're all scammers".

I ended all correspondence after that.

Received and email and then a text about a job opportunity, and that I needed to work with a “Mr Andrew Jackson” through zoom chat. During this process was asked for full name, city/state, phone number, and email. Was also asked for the name of my bank. After a very informal “interview “ was offered a “job” with exceptionally high pay, and that they would need to send me a check in the mail to purchase equipment from their partner vendor.

The scammer initially contacted me by text message, claiming to be Sandra Conkilin from Talanx Group. She informed me that she reviewed my resume on Indeed, and Talanx wanted to interview me for a position. She proceeded to send me a list of different job titles and choose which one best suited me. After that she confirmed if I was okay with working remotely. She then told me to connect to the interviewer via Skype. When I connected to the interviewer he introduced himself as Tasker James, one of the online interview-manager for Talanx Group and that he would interview me via instant message. I went through an interview process (the entire process took about a hour) that seemed legit at first. I was told my interview answers would be sent to the board of directors for review and after about a hour he told me I got the job. He went through the next steps and got my name, full address, cell number and email address so he could enter and verify my data with the company’s secretary department. He proceeded to ask me question about if I was doing the job on my phone or PC and I chose PC and he asked if I had the proper software to complete the job and sent me a list of all the programs I would need. He also asked if I had desk and chair for my office at home. He then let me know that they would be sending me a check in the mail for job materials. Every time I tried to get a start date he would never tell me. I asked if was a scam and he got offended and called me but without video only could hear his voice and he had an accent and you could tell English wasn’t his first language. So I went along with everything. He stated that the check that he will be sending me will be for $2750 and that a bonus of $150 was on the check for me. He stated that I would receive the check next day and I confirmed it was coming via FedEx. I also did research on the actual company Talanx AG and they didn’t offer any of the position that were listed and none of the position were work from home on their actual website. I also forgot to mention the scammers offered me $30.75/hr for a online chat rep! All of this was a huge red flag for my wife and just didn’t set right with her especially once she got home and was able to see how everything was happening. Thankfully the scammer didn’t get anything was wasn’t already public knowledge.

I was hired as a customer liaison. I was supposed to deal with clients invoices so the corporation didn’t. Everything was done via text or email, including my interview. They took my ID info for a background check and my direct deposit info. 5/22/23 was my first day and they had me email a client and find out when he was going to pay. The client paid the invoice, I had to then print out the invoice and deposit it into my personal bank account. I have already contacted my bank to let them know I was scammed and the check was fraudulent. I accused them of being a scam and they said they would have their legal team contact me. After digging, the Lynn Bennett I was talking to wasn’t actually her and the company is made up.

The persons involved needed me to copy Excel data and then use an online crypto website that failed to transfer funds multiple times. Angela Rains, my boss, asked that I transfer my own money for a business expense before I got paid, let alone will get paid. They claimed that if I did not, I would be fired. I have not sent money, and after asking more pertinent questions, they have stopped responding to me completely, regardless of the contract I signed with them.

a “job listing site” called me called degree search. Told me his name is Conner and I applied on his website and asked me for my personal information. When I asked him to tell me about his services first bc I did not apply to his site he said give him the information then he will explain I said no im not gonna do that if I don’t know who or what it’s for and he hung up on me . When I tried to call back the lady was rude and wouldn’t let me talk or ask any questions just kept trying to talk over me then hung up. This is very rude and very very unprofessional.

Scammer posted a "Marketing Internship" job on LinkedIn. I was contacted from a random number for a Zoom interview. When I joined, there were 30+ other people there. The scammer had us fill out a job experience form to make it to the "second round" where we were allowed to ask about hours, compensation, etc. They mentioned training us in marketing which would not be needed if it were truly a marketing internship. Clearly a MLM/pyramid scheme.
