F & F Management Dissolved

It looks like F & F Management dissolved according to the Secretary of State in California. See attached image. We did good work in reporting them and having DFPI fine them a substantial amount of money. However, we still need to be aware of fraudulent companies like them because they tend to operate as a fly by night operation. They can easily open another fake company. Be sure to check your credit at least on a monthly basis, so that phony operations like F & F Management don't continue to operate to cheat people under different names.

It's odd that their website is still live, especially after they were caught red-handed by the DFPI committing fraud against hard-working consumers. They were heavily fine. We need more laws to fight shady fake companies like the Francos and the Bryan Steele's of the world.

It took about 6 months but today, 11/8, transunion finally removed the fraudulent collection from my credit report but SO weird is along with removing this from my report they DROPPED my score by 12 points, shouldnt it have been the other way around? The ONLY change today was that this debt was removed , previous changes show that I have been paying down my debt, how in the world did removing bad debt from my report cause it to drop in points, so bizarre. What I did was send transunion a letter along with the report on F&F getting sanctioned and the court records that a few dropped on here and it finally worked after months of calls and requests to remove this fraud! Good luck to all!

I am just following up! I had 1058 reported on my credit. Disputed it with trans union, TWICE! Filed complaint with BBB, talked to a lawyer and filed the California state of Financial Protection. Last night the collection has just disappeared off my trans union account with no explanation. During all of this, after F&F called me and harassed me and I explained they were fraudulent company because they refused to send me any info on this supposed debt I owed, one of my credit cards was racked up for 5k! Thank goodness the company caught it and closed my account and sent new card. I dont know if it was them, but its a card I hadn't used in months! Just odd.
I also froze my credit and put fraudulent alert on it and identify theft. I hope that this being removed isn't a glitch and it has all been figured out because it seriously stressed me out.
Now, do u think I got back the 100 points it dropped me? Hell no!
Keep fighting. I hope this is the end for me, but I have a feeling it isn't, because that was way to easy.

Apparently there is a cease and desist order against them in California for unfair collection practices. This company is a joke. And an even bigger joke...TransUnion. I can't help but think that the two are somehow affiliated. A collection agency that only reports to ONE credit bureau and refuses to remove collections from consumers accounts even when documentation is provided to prove the debt is false? I filed a complaint against TransUnion with the FTC and CPFB and within 24 hours my TU account was locked and I could not access it. I'm glad they were removed from your credit report, and agree with the oddity of it dropping your score by 100 points but not adding 100 points once it was removed. Makes me even more convinced they are affiliated.

what I did was take a copy of the cease and desist order against F&F and sent it along with a letter explaining the fraudulent charge on my transunion report, to transunion and they finally removed it

I have a debt listed on my credit report from F & F Management for a company I have not done business with. There are hundreds of complaints about the same activity in recent weeks and the company has been issued a cease and desist in the state of California.

After doing some digging, the address supplied by this so called debt collector is actually Postal Annex not F & F, so they are disguising their location and showing a suite number of 188 which may be their postal box, not a business suite. There are also multiple collection businesses showing the same address.

Smells like fraud all the way around.

Hi Jane. The California Order was to Desist and Refrain. They have been ordered to stop and fined. Transunion is involved. With all of the complaints all over the country
there will be a class action suit against Transunion. F&F Management is garbage you cannot expect anything better from them, but Transunion come on.

I don't think anyone should sit around and wait for a class action lawsuit to commence against F&F. Find a consumer lawyer in your area for a consultation to learn your rights and see what they can do. Although California fined F&F, I am not sure how it helps those of us with a fraudulent debt on our credit report.

So let me get this straight! We worked with the state of California in an investigation for illegal practices. Took out time effort and sent evidence to prove illegal practices and phantom parked debts etc. The state of California fines F&F management for over $350,000 and the victims are still fighting to have this removed on their own? California gets a payday and we are still being victimized! Why tf do they STILL have a licence? They are still doing the same illegal crap! Transunion is still protecting them! Why are they still considered a collection agency?

I have received that same derogatory voicemail from F & F management today that others have mentioned on this site and that is listed on public record of court documents. I checked my Transunion report and sure enough there it was as others had mentioned. The original creditor is listed as 12 PAY DAY LOAN CASH ADVANCE
which I have never heard of. I actually googled the company and nothing comes up. I have filed a dispute with Transunion and will go from there.

Today was the first voicemail threat I received and according to my Transunion report it was added on 9/1/21, yet this is the first I have been contacted. I have no idea who the payday loan company is and it has to be fraudulent charges.

I received a call from an unidentifiable company saying if I don’t pay my debt today I will receive a court summons from the sheriffs department. I was told to call a different number to settle my debt. I should have known it is a scam when the debt was only $100. I tried to pay initially until the employee asked why am I paying a debt I don’t remember. She then refused to take my payment and hung up. I called back and she acted like she didn’t know who I was. She called me back at the same number and started spewing my information to make it seem like the debt is credible. She even told me to check my credit report to see that there is a derogatory mark on my credit. The problem is that they are trying to collect debt from 2011. I gave my card information and agreed to pay and the employee was still trying to argue that the debt is credible. The unprofessional service and manner of the employee made me realize this company is not credible. I looked them up on the better business bureau website and saw that they unlawfully try to collect debt so I hung up and locked my account.

Never heard of this company or been in contact with them or any pay day loan and all of a sudden they appear on my credit report. Contacted the company directly and would not provide me with any information and informed me to hire an attorney if I believe this to be fraud otherwise I need to pay it.

Collections for $372 from a 12 payday loan cash advance was placed on my transunion literally out of thin air. Called this company to get info about original debtor so I could continue filing my reports about identity theft. Rep told me it was from a Check into cash from 2016 and unknown location. Filed with ftc and transunion this has dropped my credit score significantly
