Responded to a Facebook ad for a woven Palestinian keffiyeh. Item arrived as a piece of cotton cloth printed with a keffiyah pattern. The seller provides no contact information about business name. There is no way to contact them to demand a refund. No way to return the item. Mail fraud. Turns out the seller has quite a history of this activity.

I was on Facebook searching posts. A popup ad for a special after Christmas deals for Bath and Body Works. I made an order $41.99. After a month, still didn’t receive my order. I replied to the email stating I haven’t received any order yet and never get a response. I called Bath and Body Works and they said they had no order from me.

I was approached on facebook by someone who I assumed to be my friend i knew.(I wasn’t aware that she had been scammed previously and had to create a new profile). She asked me to get involved with this opportunity to get money back with some paxful tax writeoff when you buy a gift card. The more you buy, the more money youd be given back. Thinking it was my friend whom I trusted, I participated because i had medical bills to pay. I bought the apple gift card,$400, sent her the info, and never received any money. And they took over my facebook account so i had to make a new profile. They tried to scam my friends through my old profile too. The profile name they used was shairasugaaspicedd. The person in charge of the scam contacted me numerous times trying to get my bank info so i got their phone number. +1 (619) 274-4545 . They need to be caught. And i want my money back

I was just thimbing through facebook online and saw this weird thing about Ellen Degeneres Give-Away. I thought she was no longer in tv, so I opened her site (right there on Facebook) to see what it was about. Hadnt been on for ling when I got notification that Id won "The Ellen Giveaway". Someine kept me onlune for awhile, until I hung up, inly to grt a call from supposed Portia, Ellen's wife. This went on and on with Portia trying finally to get my home address (which I refused to give) so "they could deliver the prizes (which included a new SUV and something like $300,000 in cash). When I told this person I wouldnt guve a home address, they wanted to know if I was near a CVS (which I am) saying that her "prize team" would meet me there with miney and new SUV. At that time, I told them I was not meeting anyone...and hung up on them. They tried at least 2 times to call me back (may have been more (by this time they had tagged me in Myrtle Beach SC..and had somehosw gotten my home phine number). Definitely a scam, bit very scarey...couldve been someone nearby helping to purpetrate this. I locked all my doors, and sat in a very frightened state, full well knowing that I had been scammed. This is particularly scarey because there IS so much scarey crime that goes on down here. I was getting very sick at the time..and finally wound up in the hospital ER. Once home (via taxi), I even had the driver walk me to my door..still fearful that part of the scam was partially oerpetrated by criminals in the Myrtle Beach area..which has a very high crime rate. I all but was awake most of my first night home from the ER. What I didnt realize was there were wl2 lengthy messages on my HOME PHINE ANSWERIMG MACHINE, one saying "they wete already in Myrtle Beach with my prizes and having left another number to call as well as telling me they were already up at the CVS closest to me. I was too sick to report then and for an entire 10 day period. But I AM REPORTING NOW!! ONCE I WAS BETTER, I WAS CONSTANTLY LOOKUNG OUT MY WINDOWS AND CHECKING OUT ANY UNFAMILIAR VEHICLES ON MY STREET!! I AM STILL SCARED!! I AM 75, have a good mind (though Ive had a virus thing for awhile). I literally took my house phone off the hook for awhile I was so frightened!

Our entire interaction is in writing via Facebook Messenger and email. They provided more personal information than the form requested.

I thought I was adopting a Yorkshire Terrier puppy, 11 weeks old. The $300 included the dog, shipping, vet records and up to date vaccines. I completed the transaction using Zelle via my bank, Capital One. The scammer sent me videos of my dog and photos. They claimed to use a shipping company called Global Expressway in Virginia and said I'd receive an email from them with a tracking number. I received the email and it looked fake. There was a tracking number and I was promised the puppy would arrive at 17:00 on Monday. I contacted Global Expressway directly. They're in fact a real freight company however the department the email claimed to be from was non existent. They further informed me that the email I received was not sent from them. The email contained 3 PDFs, each of a crate they claimed I'd have to purchase at $1500 and would be totally refundable. At this point I realized I've been scammed. I did not open any links. I called my bank immediately.

So far I have contacted my bank and they have opened an investigation that will take 10-45 days to complete. I have not however made the scammer aware of my actions. I requested a refund repeatedly and they're ignoring me but we're still friends on Facebook because I don't want them to disappear before the investigations are complete.

I have also reported this to the FTC.

I ordered a meat special online from Omahasteakfactory.com but never received anything. After 5 weeks they said it was delivered which it wasn't. After complaining they said they refunded my money which I never received. They lie and say they are located in the U.S. but the tracking they sent was out of China. The website Omahasteakfactory.com no longer exists and I lost $52.

He will block you on the messenger app and from him facebook "business" page. 2 months later and still no money or part.

Seller posted pictures and video of beautiful 3 dimensional fairy sculptures on Facebook. They are described as being an average of 2 to 3 feet, wire wrapped fairy figures with mesh wings holding a seeded dandelion. I purchased 3 sculptures on 1/8/24, which I received on 1/18/24. I immediately contacted the company at [email protected] because the product does not come close to the advertised product. I have been going back and forth with emails to their service department. They have offered a 10% refund, then went to 25%, and finally a 30% refund. I have declined all 3 offers, repeatedly telling them I wanted to return the items for a full refund minus shipping and handling. They replied that was not advisable due to "logistical " issues and the likelihood they might not receive the return, thus I would bear the full cost. They said I could keep the sculptures, but they are not fit for display and will be put out for recycling if I cannot return. They have yet to provide a return address after an exchange of 10 emails.

The site advertised a parrot and I messaged her within Facebook. The cost was $600 for the bird, $180 for shipping and $300 for a cage. All prices were reasonable. Then the breeder requested $380 for reimbursable shipping insurance, which they split with me. After the bird was supposedly picked up by the shipping company, there was an additional cost of $500 for a vet check that was also refundable after the bird arrived. This cost I did not pay. The shipping company is Speedy Network Transport, which the website no longer works. Both the bird site and shipping company seems fraudulent.

I was looking for a rabbit to adopt, went on their page, they sent me a few pics of it, then said it was 100, 30 dollars delivery fee, then they said i needed to pay the vet 120 dollars, totally refundable and also that the rabbit needed a shot that was 150$. When coming time to make delivery they told me i needed to pay 200 dollars for the crate fee but i did not, that is when i new it was a scam

I purchased 6 bottle of keto gummies from an advertisement on Facebook for $39.99. That month later I was charged another $240.00 but I have not received anything. I called and asked why I was charged $240.00 again and they said that I signed up for a monthly subscription. I told them that I did not and I wanted my money back and I wanted everything cancelled. She agreed to cancel my subscription but would only give me $0 back. I told her I wanted all of my money back and I would send everything back that was ordered since it was money back guarantee. She said it was not money back guaranteed. The phone number is the only accurate information I have. The bottle says the product is distributed for KetoDrops - Memphis, Tennessee 37501 but the bank transaction says the recipient of the money is ReVital Medical in 7780 49th Street North 516 Florida 33781.. Cannot find them anywhere on Google

Lost all my pics on Messenger on my cell phone. Went to Verizon. They said Messenger goes thru Facebook. Got in touch with Facebook. Put me in with some man who said it would be a refundable dollar, but to verbally talk to him it would be $39.00. I said no. Just "chat" online. All he said was once the pics were gone they were gone, not saved anywhere. That was the entire online discussion. Looked at my bank account the next day, saw ASKTECH deducted $55.00 from my account. Went to bank. Even Had the Asst. Branch Manager call the 800 number and someone named Christine said I wanted a subscription to the company. I did not, never said I did. Said they won't return my money. Just went on line after that and found it is a scam company that Facebook handles. It IS A SCAM.
