Asked to speak with me (using my full name) and also asked if they had the correct job title for me (which they did, and is not a common job title). The caller then spoke to someone on their end, ******* **** ******** ** *****, and then hung up.

Angela Smart contacted me via instant messenger and told me about an online job. She put me in touch with a man named Jefferson Gallagher. He sent me the typing project and details about it. I completed the typing project and was supposed to be paid $1800. When I contacted the payment manager, I paid a $30 account linking fee. Then she kept giving excuses as to why she couldn't send my payment. When she finally tells me my payment is ready she expected me to pay another $50 authorization fee. When I asked her to refund my money she refused and said it was only refundable with payment after she already told she would refund my $30. Now she won't respond to me anymore.

I was looking for a work from home job and I was applying on LinkedIn and I was applying to multiple jobs on Linkendn and Indeed. One day I got a text message from a recruiter manager names Dylan Hamilton saying your resume was selected and this is the code, download signal app and contact with the HR manager and introduce yourself. HR manager name was Ms. Clea Maynard and then she explained me about company and gave me a template to read. Also, took my interview and asked me 10 question. In the last two question she was asking me about my bank name and payment method for the job. Then she told me to wait for 1 day to get the interview final decision and then I was hired and she went through explaining me stuff like you will get home equipments like apple laptop, phone, fax machine and shredder and gabra headphones. As well as they will provide me any other supplies needed for job. Then they went through terms and documents and asked me to sign documents from email as PDF and in it asked me about photo copy of my drivers license and SSN, W4 and so on. Also, they told me to make a video that I am agreeing yo their condition and send them, this all took place on zoom. In those instruction she also told me that I would have to pay vendor funds that they provide me as a check. After then I have to deposit the check( cashier check, First state bank Ulvede..) then withdraw most of the cash and keep some with me (first check - $4600 and they gave me $200 as sign up bonus) and then for the second check ($7800 and I would have to keep $300 as bonus) and for both of them they told me to withdraw and go to ATM Depot bitcoin machine and send it to vendor and they will provide a barcode and will let u know that after then only they can install software in apple laptop. Also, a person name James Charles would talk to you who doesn't seem yo be white. He would guide you to set up the Bitcoin registration in the machine. I didn't know anything in first check I did all that but in second check they send me suddenly without informing and first check I got on second day then I was hired. All this happens like u are doing a task to win trust of the company. In the second check they send me an email. That they need G1 time tracker device for the job and therefore they gave $7800 (to keep $300 bonus with me). Inthe first check after doing everything they told me that they going to install the software and everything and send me in 2 days but then they changed and told me that we send second check and to buy the time tracker and they will send everything everything together with your name on it. But I didn't withdraw second check and I am going to report it. So, please be careful. Also, they tried using Cashapp , zelle, bank app, and Paypal for sending money to vendor but my bank was restricted and there was some problem to so it didnt work. Also they would contact you on weekends, and would usually meet you at 8 or 9 am and would give you task related to bank, Atm bitcoin depot machine and ho yo staples for versa-check yo print their checks and do the same thing again and again in a cycle. They would say its a part of a process in hiring someone. They would also ask for receipt of atm bitcoin machine deposits. The document also had personal information to be filled out like Name, address and zip-code which they also asked me after the interview for mailing equipments yo set up a home office. Also, I gave my passport size photo for employee verification.

They gave me the vendor information too.

I received a text message from Pamela Howard 31783****7, is so called recruiter for a Vita Health Company offering a job as an administrative assistant/customer service representative training salary $19 an hour for two weeks $30 an hour there after. I was told I had an impressive résumé and if I was interested in the job, they would forward my information to the hiring manager. I was told that the company will be responsible for my working materials and office equipment, software, electronic device, and printer to have a mini office set up. Once passing a background check, then a MacBook Pro, laptop, I-9 and W-4 and time tracker software to monitor my daily productivity, will be sent with my working materials. I would be sent a check to get my office set up to start my training on October 2. They have my name my address, phone number and email address. They asked the typical interview questions. The person claiming to interview and do the job briefing with me was Bradley Collins Senior manager at Vita Health Company stories with his managerial information, claiming to be with the company sense 2019. By the following afternoon my background check has cleared. I was then asked to accept the zoom invitation, and all contact would be through zoom with Mr. Bradley Collins. I was then asked to send $500 to the vendors Clara Abreu clar******[email protected] and Robert Valle Gomez godisgo*****[email protected]. While I was doing this, I looked up the company online for verification. I noticed the corporate pictures didn’t match but everything else look like they copied and paste it and sent it to me. I tried to call the company and could not reach them until Monday, September 25 2023 therefore only one payment of $500 went through

Offered a remote position via indeed. I received a message via text from Amelia James to do a interview thru zoom. The HR manager was called Carina Wunder, she sent me multiple long messages about the company that you could only reply yes or okay to. At the end she asked me a couple of questions about myself and after 20-30 min I was hired, she then went on explaining how the company works and that since the company was based in Germany they were going to send me a check via FedEx to pay for he equipment. She then asked for my addressed and phone number, and told me she would send me a W-4, a I-9 and a job offer letter by email

I received a text message from a Brian Townsend, a recruiting staff member, about multiple open positions for Luminis Health. I checked online quickly to see that the roles were posted on LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor. I was told to reply with "yes, I am interested" if I wanted to get any more details regarding the positions. I was asked if I had a Microsoft Teams account and was told that I should add a Marcus Webb, interview manager, to my teams and send him a verification code that was provided in the text.

All of this seemed a bit out of the norm and started setting off alarms. I asked if the interview manager could reach out via email and I also asked where Mr. Townsend had gotten my resume. I was basically ghosted.

While diving deeper waiting on their reply, I saw that the jobs Brain mentioned were nowhere to be found on the companies actual website. There is also no Brian Townsend or Marcus Webb associated with Luminis Health on LinkedIn. Lastly, I was searching the phone number and it brought me here to a very similar situation. The only differences being the names of people and company.

Although I did review them on Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and Indeed, something seemed off (there were remote positions listed for those sites, but not their main website).

I was messaged by a recruiter about a remote position with an IT services company. I had a few choices of roles to choose from and picked the role of IT Specialist. After informing them I was interested I was instructed to go to either Zoom or Skype to start an interview with an HR representative. After going through an interview via Skype instant message. I was informed that I fit the role and was offered a position. I did have to send them my name, address, phone number, and email. And before doing this I sent them a signed offer letter. I have attached the offer letter that was sent to me as well

I am a traveling Social Worker, and I was contacted via LinkedIn for a travel opportunity through Talent4Health. I saw a position in NJ i wanted to apply for. After being hired for the NJ position, I was asked for two references. The reference information was sent to my previous bosses was someone else's name not mine. It was a traditional Indian name. When I told them my boss was not completing the reference until the name was changed, they blocked me. By this time they had all my identification information. After this, I called the hospital directly and I was told a Social Work position was not opened and I must have been mistakened. I was never linked to a job and asking around about this company and was told that other healthcare professional experienced the same thing!

my sister-in-law gave my information to a recruiter that approached her about the position. I was then contacted by said recruiter, known as Elizabeth ********, who asked if i was interested in a position with SCA Health. I will send directed by ******** to download Microsoft teams, to which I would have my interview. I then had my interview with Brandon ***** over message in Microsoft Teams. I was told the next day I got the job, and was sent an email from a Josh Wyant (the email address I provided) to fill out my offer letter as well as my verification for a background check.

They proceeded to overnight me a check to buy materials for the job, to which I deposited before realizing this was in fact a scam. I do not plan to touch the money.

I applied for several work from home positions on the Indeed platform. I received a message that a company by the name of Metro Group was interested in my resume. I received a call and completed a phone interview. The next day I received a message from a different company's HR team offering me the position. I assumed they that they were a temp agency hiring for the company I applied for. I was told that they do shipping for a company called fulfillment now. The website that I set my user account is for the company fulfillment now, however I notice very questionable things with the company site. There is sometimes incorrect spelling and no direct contact number listed for immediate assistance nor direct contact to our direct reporting supervisor. I have not received my first paycheck that is scheduled to be direct deposited into my bank account on 6/24. I just want to make sure that this is a legit company and that there is nothing illegal going on. I plan to see if I do in fact receive payment for my first month of work to see what company makes the direct deposit. And if it is in fact a scam, I plan to report to the authorities and BBB.

The scammer approached as a job recruitment officer that had seen my resume on Indeed. They use some official sounding terminology, before asking the target to download the Signal Messenger App before going further. They collect some personal information for *business records* before sending a check of 5.2k in order to buy training equipment. Before asking me to use Zelle to send money to a rather large list of random people. Who didn't have Zelle causing the transaction to fail. After which they expressed a lot of urgency in trying to get me to go to the bank and wire money to another person.

I was contacted by a Roberts **** of Aqotech via text message, notifying me of my resume approval. I wasn't told how they got my resume, however, and I have only uploaded my resume to ZipRecruiter. The scammer then gave a job description and asked if I would like to schedule the interview. I replied that I would. He then instructed me to install the Signal messaging app and add phone number ###-###-#### HR Manager ****** Pulzl. I did so and received a response saying that I was confirmed for the job interview and was asked if I was available for the online interview and briefing on open positions. I was asked to simply respond with an "Okay" or "Yes" after each section as prompted. The individual who identified themselves as M***** Pulzl then gave a thorough briefing on Aqotech, their values, and the open job positions. I was then asked which job opening was in my field of specialty. I replied with one answer and was told that the interview was for another position, and then they proceeded to describe the other position's responsibilities. From there, they asked if I would like to begin the interview questionnaire. I was then asked 13 questions that seemed like standard job interview questions that mostly concerned my work ethic. I was told to wait 15-20 minutes while they consulted with their co-workers on my answers. When they came back, they gave a drawn-out question, then an employment answer as though they were trying to create tension and then relief. They then repeated a description of the company and what I would be expected to do there. I was asked what email I prefer, then was told that I would be emailed the documents I needed to fill out to finalize the employment process. I was then asked how I would prefer to be paid, how frequently, and who I bank with(so that they could "see if it tallies with the company's official salary payment accounts". I answered the other two questions, but not the last one. I was then given a briefing on how I needed to report to him every day at 8 am my time until I begin training. They then told me my job benefits and asked me if I was familiar with certain software programs. I was also told that I would receive a check that I would need to use to pay for a laptop, printer, and scanner. I was then asked to provide my address, I gave my mailing address and was asked to please give my home address, I declined saying that I would prefer to confirm that they're who they say they are first. In response, they sent an email, deleted it, then sent it again. Simply saying "You will get all paperworks in your email tomorrow morning. Alright. That will be all for now, you are to report to me tomorrow morning by 8:00 AM your time for an update on the tasks to be done and the paperwork (job offer letter, Form W-4, and Form I-9). You are to report to me online via Signal, that is; you are to log on to your Signal application and message me for an update. Do you Understand?" I was then congratulated on my new job position and that was it. They reached out to me this morning at 8 AM, asked how I was, and asked me to check my email for the new hire paperwork he sent me early this morning. I replied saying "I'm looking over it now". Then I asked, "What confirmation can you provide that you are ****** Pulzl, and that the address and phone you provided are Aqotech?". My messages show as seen, yet I haven't received a reply. I have a full record of all correspondence including screenshots of text messages and all documents sent to me.

There.wasnannad on a f lb group for a data entry job at $25/hour.

Person immediately got back to me. Told me an interview would be done in telegram through text as soon as I am able to, no appointment time.

Had a job listing on indeed, I applied. Got an email setting up a chat interview. Everything seemed okay, stupidly fell for it because they sent legitimate looking forms for me to fill out, ect. Once all that was completed and they had almost all my personal information they said for payment bank accounts wouldn’t work and I’d need to go to a Walgreens and purchase a $20 dollar green dot card for them to reload with my pay. Of course I questioned this and said I wasn’t comfortable with it but never got a response at all. Emailed the “hr” portion of the “company” too and that was also ignored. Haven’t heard anything since.

- Hampton, NH, USA

Offered a job interview over a messaging service called “Signal”. Never spoke on the phone or to anyone’s face which seemed weird. During the interview they asked for my banking information. When I said I didn’t feel comfortable sending that over the messaging app they stopped answering me.

I found this job on Indeed.com.

I was looking for remote Data Entry jobs and found about 3 listings by Tipping Points Technology Ltd and quickly applied to them and not only received a job application submitted emails from Indeed, but emails from the employer as well.

The email stated that in order to continue, I would need to download the app called Signal and gave the number of the person who will be conducting the interview that I needed to contact.

I went ahead and downloaded the app and started the conversation by introducing myself and the job position I applied for. The person explained the job position, the job tasks and wanted confirmation if that is something I can do or still interested in. The way they texted seemed... Off. IYKYK.

They went ahead with the interview(still through text and not through a phone call or video chat) and I passed and signed & date an employer contract.

They stated that I would need certain equipment, programs and such in order to do the job properly. I stated I have none of those items. They said that they would need to mail me a check which would cover the funds needed to purchase them through a trusted vendor.

Last thing that was done before they suddenly went silent on me was that they wanted to confirm my identity for background means and such, and wanted me to create an account on ID.me, which, I confirmed is a trusted website, but then after I told them I created the account, they wanted my login info.

Not gonna lie, they were giving off mad sus vibes.

I asked for more context by what they meant when they wanted the login info. They wanted my LITERAL login! Like, the user and password.

Yeah, no, nope.

I honestly am very ****** I basically wasted time on these people. I honestly wanted to give them the benefit of doubt and they just did me dirty. So I'm just gonna mass report on all sources to make sure other people don't fall for this and waste their time.

Something felt off from the beginning. When they first contacted me, I replied to the email and the email it was sent from was not the same email I responded to. Also the email was not a valid email or professional.

1. There were a lot of grammatical mistakes (using capital letters when not needed, using commas instead of periods, and saying “interview data and time” instead of interview date and time.

2. Their website was difficult to find and the first thing that came up were their different job listings on various platforms. Their website looks unprofessional, does not elaborate on what the business actually does, and also utilizes the same 3 pictures for different topics which legitimate businesses don’t do.

3. On google, one review says it’s a scam and the other gives a five star review without any information as to why.

4. The person I spoke with was repetitive and asked if I was interested in a briefing and getting to know the company but then didn’t provide any information. They instead asked me to introduce myself with my full name, sex, and location so they could know more about me.

- Seaford, DE, USA

I was contacted via email about a job position for bio-Health pharmaceuticals and told I would receive a check for office supplies. The interview was done via Microsoft Teams and seemed legit up until they started talking about sending the check. The "managers" name or the name he went by was Robert Miles.
