Spoofed FedEx number phoned and said there was a problem w/ a shipment giving me a case number. Then they started to ask me for personal information. I said “you called me, you should have that.” Then I asked who sent the shipment and he told me the “case was closed” and he couldn’t tell me. Huh??? The voice was heavily accented, probably Indian. I hung up.

I received a phone call from FEDEX. That is what showed up on my caller ID. The message it was about an order from Best Buy. I was given option 2 to speak with someone and I got noises that sounded like it was being faxed.

Someone named Oscar called me and left a message claiming he worked for FedEx and had a package for me from Abbot that they were unable to deliver and wanted to confirm the delivery address. I know there was no delivery attempt and I’m not expecting any packages via fedEx.

The lady called from a local phone number (346)2546035 and said she is calling from FedEx, she asked me if I my address was xxxxx which was my address and I said “Yes”, then she asked if it is a residence, and I said “Yes”, then she just said thank you and hung up.

Call was made to my business at 8:34pm. They stated that they have a couple packages to deliver to myself (business owner) the store and would be there within 45 minutes. They began to ask questions about my business, how much money was in drawer, change machine and if there were any customers in the store. Unfortunately my employee fell for part of it but did not give out any personal information such as account information. They stated that I was on the phone with them and asking here to do this stuff per my request. They stated that a payment for the package was declined by my bank account and that I asked her to do me a favor and give bank information and I would give here a $500 bonus, she did not fall for that. They had her on the phone for about 45 minutes. They asked here to count all the money in the till and in our change machine. I did call one of the numbers that showed up on my caller id, no one answered but the call was returned within 2 minutes with the same process. He did eventually hang up. They seemed to know a lot about the business but I'm sure as a Laundromat Owner it would be fairly easy to know what is there. The employee did give out her cell number so they started calling and texting her. She has since blocked the callers number. My staff was very shaken not only for falling for the scam but that they were able to get information.

Text message went as follows:

FedEx Update: (My first name was here), Parcel ID-SA4592 is pending delivery in our warehouse. To avoid extra fees, please confirm delivery time: dh21l.com/21z4jtqfRD

I entered the Parcel ID into FedEx tracking site and found that ID is none existing. I made sure not to click on the link in the message also.

I got a text message from a 469-797-5321. The message said "FedEx: arranged dispatch time for your parcel 1z50413 was postponed! Make sure to confirm her ."

I did not click on the link because the URL did not have "fedex.com" or "fedex" keyword in it. It looked a bogus URL. Moreover, I didn't purchase anything online lately that I'd be expecting a delivery.

I got a text message on Sunday, and it said we need to verify a package deliver with a complimentary gift from Fedex, please verify your status. I called on Monday to Fedex, and asked if this was something they do and she said they would never sent a text message to a package receiver. She told me to not click on any link or open any message from them.

The message did come with a link to a website to follow. I called the helpdesk at KOLD to talk to them

Second or third time I've received this message, but "FedEx delivery guy was at your door, we missed you at home, tell us when they can return today"...these guys are just up to no good, probably starting trouble in your neighborhood.

I received a text message purporting to be from FedEX saying a package had been sent. It had a link for more info. I did not select the link, so I don't know if the scam is to fish for information, download malware, or try to get money.

Received a random text supposedly form FedEx for last chance to claim my parcel by Friday (9/18/20). Click here to find out. Link routed to page, messsgeinabox.club, FedEx survey box with a special FedExclaim number. Then To go to survey I should click on survey button to be directed with chance to win $120. This box was on top of another full page that was covered except for partial sentence viewable that mentioned certain offer only for members. I did not click on anything further. I have screenshots of the text and this ‘cover’ page.

I have been recieving texts stating that FedEx is attempting to deliver a prize of an I phone 11. There is no way to unsubscribe nor does it stop after repeatedly reporting as spam and blocking the number. It began as a few messages a week and has now gotten up to 3 per day all from different numbers. I have attempted anything I can think of and have reported and blocked at least 20-30 different numbers so far it looks legit until step three when it then asks that you enter financial info in order to pay shipping. This is becoming harassment.
