Geoffrey Mattison (Scam Artist) Leander, TX

Mr. Mattison is a serial scam artist. I'm tracking his shenanigans as fast back a 2020, but I'm sure that he's been doing it for much longer. If you engage Mr. Mattison about any type of woodworking project he'll come off as very passionate about his work and will assure you that you're going to have a great outcome. He'll then ask for a down payment for the cost of materials as he's an independent contractor and does not carry much inventory. Once you make payment is when he'll start coming up with excuse that his son is sick, his car won't start, he misunderstood the start date, it's raining and he can't risk the material getting wet, all in an effort to Stonewall you and get you to just say forget it, I've been had. I've filed police reports, I've initiated a civil case against him in county court and I've retorted his scam to the BBB and have outted him on SM, the dude just doesn't care. Until he spends some significant time in jail, then MAYBE and that's a big maybe, he'll try to earn a decent living. Be on the lookout for [email protected] or reclaimedwooddesign on any social media platform or 512wooddesign.com DO NOT engage or entertain this guy's scam.

Geoffrey Mattison was advertising on Austin Craigslist about making handmade tables. I sent a request for a table to be made. I sent him $300 via cashapp in early November 2020. The delivery was supposed to be December 2020, but he said he was behind and it would be ready by January 2021. The table was not ready by January and was never really built. I asked him for a refund via email and cashapp and he never responded. This individual is scamming people and needs to be stopped. I already filed multiple business and police reports. Please submit a police report if this has happened to you. Also he sent me a picture of his drivers license
