I received a call saying that I was being awarded a Government Grant of $9,000. He said I had to pay $199.00 for a security valture state code. His name was *** ***. He called it the Obama Grant. He had a very heavy foreign accent.

On 9/26/2016, Caller (Simon from tel# (800) 804-8172 spoke either an Asian or India tone while introducing themselves with American names and surnames. Caller explains that I have been chosen out of 1,300 people to receive a government grant of $9,000, but I must call the verification approval office tel# (855) 523-0533 (Martin Freeman) who immediately asked if I would like the grant in cash or direct deposited. Cash means you must go to Walmart to buy a $250.00 gift card to certify and register with the government proving that I am the rightful person receiving the grant. After purchasing the card, I must call them back giving them the number on the card, and they will give me a special code number relevant to my grant.

On Sept. 22 I got a call from +12021258254 and it was a woman and she had told me that I had received a grant for $11,000+ and knew all my information. She then directed me to two numbers to call 13153203021 and 13608245019. I called and they told me I had to go to a grocery store, CVS, or a Walgreens. They said when I get there to purchase some sort of Apple iTunes card and then set up my account. I felt uncomfortable because it sounded fishy so I did not go through with it. I looked it up and it is indeed a scam and they are still going strong. I would like to report this scam and also would like to know how they found out all of my contact information.

On 9/23/2016, I was contacted my a man named Raymond Santos, who claimed to be affiliated with the government. The number that he called me from was 765-554-4466. He informed me I was approved from $8,000 government grant where there were no upfront fees and I would never have to pay back. My case # was AJ1020. He said to call another number, 727-324-6231, to verify that this is not a scam.

I received a call from *** *** telling me I was to be awarded a Government Grant because I qualified for the Low Income Grant. He told me the grant was for $7,000, and I would need to go to the store and get an ITunes card and put $880.00 on it. I did and called the number back and gave him the numbers on the card. Now when I call, they hang up on me.

They said I was selected to receive a grant along with 1500 other people. Then they said that it was required that the funding be used for home improvement, to pay your bills off, for business etc... After which they gave me a confirmation number to call 206-745-0822 along with a confirmation code to give to the representative. They said that it could be put into my bank account or picked up through money gram. Then they asked me for $300.00 for a processing fee. I have heard of these scams before. For one thing you have to go directly through the Grantor to get approved for a grant. You have to in most cases request it yourself. The picture below is suppose to be the business location of this grant company in Richmond Beach, Washington, 98177. By the way, they work through cell phones not lands lines like most Grantor's. If you get a call like this check the number with an address checker first to see if it is a cell number. If it is report it to the ScamPulse.com immediately.

He said i was selected to receive a 9000.00 dollar grant,all i had to do was send him 550.00 dollars in amamzon giftcards for transfer fee and tax. I sent him 300.00 before i talk to my banker,and he convinced this was a scam and not send anymore money and close out my account,because i had sent it to him to transfer the 9000.00 dollars.The person that called me was Brian Stewart and this is a number 7862746575 from the FEDERAL BANK that was going to transfer the money,i talked with a lady there,but i didn't get her name,she wanted to charge me 900.00 to transfer into my state.

I was contacted by phone saying I was approved for a 7800 dollar grant. I was given a grant approval Id and was given the 2nd phone number to speak with a Robert Hernandez ext. 109. There I was told I would be able to have the money sent to me to the Wal-Mart near me. I'll I needed to do is have 270 dollars for the registration fee to make it so I was exempt on having to pay taxes on the 7800 dollar grant that's free gov money and I shouldn't have to pay taxes then anyways. Or then why can't that come directly out of the grant. Cuz he says it's refundable as well. So I called ScamPulse.com to find out how to report this scam. As I know it is cuz I shouldn't have to send money to get a gov grant. And I'm unemployed and have no income and no way to come up with 270 dollars anyways.

Was sent a message on face book by a friend that I know. Haven't talked to this friend in a long time, haven't seen him in over 50 years. He wanted me to go to a website. Margie Roth is the agent from the Federal Government Grant Company and United Nation Property Eradication Program. Will send 150,000.00 but I had to pay taxes, insurance and shipping. I will need to send back $1,000.00 to pay for the expenses. Send money to Sheila Coleman in Gibsland, LA 71028. Need to respond immediately for UPS to ship money.

Contacted on face book and said that Obama had a government grant for grandparents. Send $200.00 by West Union/Money Gram to agent Leonard Snively, Harrisburg, Penn. 17110 and I will receive $250,000.00. Did not send money.
