I received a text from someone I know asking me have I heard of Community Development Block Grant and I said no. He sent me a link for the agent contact information www.facebook.com/profile.php? id=100086123306629 and to say a friend told me about the program. Once you text the agent Clyde Woods he will guide you through on how to get the grant money. So you start by choosing the grant amount you want $300=$50,000, $1000=$100,000, $1500=$150.000, $2000=$200.000, $2500=$250.000, $3000=$300.000, $4000=$400.000, $5000=500.000 once you choose the one you want to pay then he will tell you to go to Walgreens and buy and Apple gift card for $300 are he will tell you to go to Walmart to purchase something along the line of the amount you choose. The grant money is suppose to arrive 6 hours after you have made your purchase and everything go through and the money if confirmed. They also want you to pay $500 for the delivery fee. This guy is suppose to be a Pastor doing this, he is the one that I worked with and my friend the other Pastor whom I believed that told me that it was real and legit. So I was scammed out of $1500. Go under his face book page and there are many who want to apply for the grant and some have not still received any money because they know now that it is a scam. I told my friend that I wanted my $1500 back.

I have been scammed out of $26,000 from people on Facebook Smith Lee. They've taken $26,000 from me. I want my money back. A high school friend contacted me about winnings. She said she received $250,000 and I had the same opportunity. They said they were Christians. I withdrew $26,000 from my bank even though the bank warned me. I bought Apple cards from Krogers, Meijers, and Walmart. I scratched the security numbers from the backs of the Apple gift cards which I purchased and texted them the numbers. Everything was hurry up, do it today causing me so much stress. The bank closed my account. I am on SS and food stamps.

I missed the first call, so they called me back, have two numbers, 252-461-3946 and 252-332-4908 he said "hi this is Sam, and I have a government subsidy for you" I asked what company and he just repeated himself. He got angry at me when I said No thankyou., I know that the government does not call people to offer them money. I get these calls at least twice a week. I am on the National Do Not call list, How can we get them to stop?

I was sent a friend request from who I thought was my cousin, I didn't know his Facebook account had been hacked or cloned and I accepted it. He then sent me a message from this person, AGENT NELSON FELICIA who I'm pretty sure was the scammer. I have pictures of the messages between him and I and they contain the posts of the supposed website for her. They wanted me to send 1,000.00 to be able to get 50,000.00. Well, that's when I put a stop to it but they already had a picture of my driver's license, like an [censored] I sent it. But they didn't get my SS #, or any money. The next day I filed a police report. There is a picture of letter head with the Attorney General's letter head on it. I looked her name up on FB and it was a different picture.

A friend on Facebook said she was awarded$100,000 from a federal grant.saw my name on the list, said I should contact the agent to see if I qualified. Later, when I called that friend, I learned she hadn’t contacted me, nor had she received any money. Two different people posing as agents, Agent Clark Smith, and Agent Daniel Williams have been in contact with me. I have refused to cooperate with their request for a processing fee. If you tap into my Facebook account, you can see all the related messages.

Told me he would help me get a government grant. Sent me two checks for 9K and they set in my account for 9 days. The checks were no good and the bank is telling me I'm on the hook for the money even though I never spent any of it. This all happened on October 18th.

Recieved a friends request through messenger from a family member. Family member asked me if I heard of CSBG Grant. I thought I was talking to a family member and it wasn't them it was a scammer under the name of Elliot J ********. They asked me a few questions then told me I was approved for the Grant. Then they told me I would have to send them money and within 24 hours I would recieve my money and a certificate saying it was tax free money and you don't have to pay it back. I did some research on internet found out it was a scam.

Less than a week ago, I was contacted by my former boss through FB. he told me to contact by agent John Smith from the Econimic Development Administration Program. They are asking for $4500 to pay taxes on a grant of $200,000. I am communicating simultaneously with John and Richard. They asked me a series of questions; including mothers maiden name, SS number, address, age, marital status, email address, deaf, text number, and a photo. When they got the info, they told me I was a winner, and asked for a copy of my drivers license, front and back, which I did. Then they asked if I owned or rented my home, monthly income, reason for applying for a grant - so I wrote home repairs. They are constantly persuading me to send the money, even though I tell them I don't have it. I told them I would have to ask my sisters for the money as I am on a pension. They objected and said it was very private, and not to talk to anybody about it. I told them it was a scam, and they say it's not a scam. A couple of years ago, my "cousin" contacted me saying the same thing. I knew that was a scam as she was 96 years old, then died, but they kept communicating with me.

A Facebook Friend said I could get a grant from the government, and I think it's a scam because he wants gift cards for 100 each to equal 2600, to get 90000

- Kentwood, LA, USA • Jun 19, 2024

Try to get you to pay small amount of money to get a higher amount.

- Saint Ann, MO, USA • Jun 10, 2024

My brother in law suggested filling out an app for usaid to get some financial help. I was sent a specific link and when I reached out I told them who my brother was and told me they got $90,000. I was told for me to get the grant I would have to pay 1,000 dollars in gift cards, and that makes no sense. I did give them a picture or two of the ID so I am a little worried there. But it does sound fishy to begin with. I let the ScamPulse.com know

I was contacted by a person pretending to be a friend / classmate stating I qualify for a grant due to my disability. He gave me the name government agency and she said based on my income I automatically qualify for a grant of at least 60,000 but in order to receive a fed ex package I need to pay handling fee of 400.00 if I didn’t have the full amount they would accept 300.00 and once I cashed my check I could pay it off. They sent messages from 2 elderly white men saying they made partial payment and once they received the payment through fedex we could settle . They kept having people pretending to know me contact me every one giving a different amount of the processing fee.

- West Warwick, RI, USA • May 02, 2024

kept insisting not a scam, had me send vanilla prepaid cards. My "package" never delivered and I finally stopped sending cards. 19k lost. now trying again but a different person wants 200.00 to generate another code for my package. I told her to go pound tar. I could really use that money, she took my life savings and I had lost my job. Rotten people they are
