Was approached on Instagram messenger by a friend, lots of small talk then an offer for a free government grant. Directed me to the following site to find out more. Quick Google search showed this is likely a scam. facebook.com/attorney-dare-wells-thomas-107367505284474

I was approved to receive a government grant, if I gave them $*,*** I would get $100,000. I needed to buy an apple gift card for my payment. Will have the FBI at my door to arrest me for being rude to government officials.

A consumer reached out to us regarding a phone call that she had received regarding a grant. She said that she was told that this grant was for people with disabilities or people with low income. She was told to go to a store and purchase $9000 worth of eBay gift cards. She did not remember where the person named Roy Walton was claiming to be from. ScamPulse.com advised her to not get those gift cards and to avoid further contact with these people.

Asking me to send him $15000 as I was granted a grant from Berkeley government funds. He refuses to show me the paperwork and says all will be sent only when the processing fees reaches him. He has hacked a number of phone numbers from my fb account and has texted people in india saying that his grant organization gave me 3 million for which I paid 15000.

Was contacted on Facebook and called about a $100,000.00 I qualified for. Said I had to send them $2,000.00 first. I sent it to them in cash and then they said I had to send the a copy of my medicare card, a copy of my license, and $5,000.00 more. I sent them the copies of my medicare card and license.

Impatient and persistent about me accepting the grant for Clearance and Delivery Fee disguised in Christian excerpts from the Bible. Wanted me to go to CVS late at night to purchase VANILLA Gift cards in amt of 2x$500 each. Take pics of front and back including receipt from purchase of cards. Since I would not go out last night to make the purchase, I was reminded this morning to go that way I could have the Grant delivered to my door within 5 hrs.

Had a friend massage me and ask me if I had got my package from pch and said no! So this friend gave me the place where I was thinking I could get the package! Every time he would ask for more money I would ask my friend if it was alright and the friend would tell me to give him the money! So over a year and 260000 later here I am!

Found on Facebook on one of the people we follow on facebook, a message from Harry Hickerson saying there is a “new grant out funding for $20,000 must have a LLC and an EIN “. We messaged them on messenger and they said they will file and apply for us for $50 via cash app. Then we sent him our name, business email and phone number and the $50. Not even 5 minutes he messaged us on messenger saying we were approved for $26,000 to check our email. We checked our email and it says that we are approved for $26,000 from the small business association for Covid relief for small businesses. It was from an gmail account (red flag). And it requested we only need to provide our bank account number to receive and an additional payment of $100.00. And right away then we figured out we were scammed

Alan Dean Martin from Federal Gov't Grant's can help gets Grant's. Answer 10 questions about yourself and see if you qualify. Then to make sure you are yourself send picture of your driver's license. Then send them money upfront for processing fees ect. Then money will be at your door 3-4 days. They wanted 1,000-5,000 according to how much of a grant you need, 150,000-750,000. I gave personal info because I was friends with a man that I knew that I accepted on my facebook, but later realized this isn't the same person on messenger. I was hacked. Someone on messenger is using a facebook friend to talk to me.

Cousin said hello. 1st contact in a decade. I gave him my cell phone number and ask that he contact me on that instead. Said his phone was disabled and asked if I knew about TCF/$15000 available for free. Currently stringing him along so he may leave somebody else alone for a while. Sounds just like the girl and Idaho.. Let me know if you want me to let him get maybe $50 so it's prosecutable?

They literally are on rn tring to get money from my people. They are ACTIVE ON MY MESSENGER. Trace them . They took over my everything I've been calling them on my messenger n they aren't scared they are just going after all of my family and friends. But they are traceable and active

The summer contracted me saying he worked for the government dealing with grants so there for I thought it was a scam be he kept reassuring me it was not so I was also told by a friend that has went through it that it was 100% legit will now this person got 1700 dollars out of me and now says I need to send 5,000.00 more I told him to reload the gift cards that was used to pay the 1700 for now he says re can not reload them its not there policies and I need to send $5,000 more to get the grant I told him that it was **** **** and that I want my money back

Offering grants to anybody. Supposedly sent a $50,000 check to my friend, and a $90,000 check to her husband. Insisted I fill out an application. When I asked pertinent questions, he texted me to fill out application. I did not.

Eligible for $110,000 for domestic assistance from Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance but had to pay for to received this. Claimed they were stopped by the border and needed an additional $500 for the border police to let them go. Kept on texting stating they were out of gas then the director by the name of N**** Bales needed an additional $200 for landing fees due to her private jet. Received an additional text message on New Years eve on stating they were on the director's private jet wanted me sign paperwork to obtain this money and at the airport needing an additional $500. Sent money was via gift card.

I was contacted by someone I know about a grant,then he put me on to the lady that supposedly handled the grant and there were several starting at 30.000 and up the more the grant the more you pay.i have both their messages they sent me

I had a person send me a Messenger message, apparently from a Distant Cousin, Larry ****, said that he got a 1 million Grant deposit into his bank account from a nice Lawyer named Tammy *****, who would help set up a Grant for me. I tried to FaceTime the person and they said that they didn't know how. RhTs when I knew something wasn't right.
