Postcard in the mail from Home Warranty Division. Call now for uninterrupted protection. Said I had previous three years of contract charged to my Mastercard. No such charges.

- Medford, OR, USA • Feb 17, 2025

I received a letter requesting I call immediately. "You are receiving this notice because your property's home warranty at **** ******* **** ******** ** ********** Secured by FANNY MAE MORTGAGE may be expiring or may have already expired."

It claims I must respond immediately to avoid loss of warranty before "it is too late". The expiration date given was 2/25/2025.

I do not have a Fanny Mae mortgage. I do not have any home warranty. The one I cancelled was not from Warranty Global Group and was cancelled a long time ago. It gives a bogus customer ID, as I am not nor have ever been their customer.

So this entity has lied about urgency, about a mortgage, about an expiration date and a customer ID. This appears to be phishing or worse.

- Springfield, OR, USA • Feb 14, 2025

Letter from "Home Warranty Division." "Private & Confidential." No Return address on letter or envelope.

Wants me to "call 1-888-404-4504 upon receiving this notice to avoid any unnecessary delays in your coverage before ..." And gives a date within the next 2 weeks. "Our records indicate that you have not contacted us yet to get your Home Warranty up to date. Please call immediately as this will be our final attempt to notify you about activating your Home Warranty.

At the top of letter it gives:

1) my Customer ID - which is BS as I'm not a customer.

2) Lender Info: "Classified for Privacy" - which is also BS as I don't have a lender!

This is all BS, as I have no home warranty, and this almost identical letter has been coming about four times a year for the last several years.

Letter signed by Wade Grant Program Director.

At very bottom of letter, it states: "Not all consumers have previous coverage. We are not affiliated with your current mortgage holder."

Home Warranty Division - had my bank information, Final Notice at top with a bar code and customer ID. This has been consistently sent to my mailing address and seem legitimate, signed by a program director - Wade Grant. There was a number provided as 1-888-404-4504.

- Denver, CO, USA • Feb 05, 2025

Scan letter in mail.

I received a letter in the mail that looks and reads very official stating that it is a final notice to respond to renew my Home Warranty. Among other things it says that "Failure to call and prevent a potential lapse in coverage could result in you being liable for all costs associated with any home repairs.... " At the top it reads FINAL NOTICE in all-caps and bold and ask to respond immediately by calling 1-888-404-4504. It is signed by Wade Grant, Program Director. This letter has an urgency tone and would make anyone, especially elderly people, fear their home warranty has expired. It was addressed specifically to me and has my personal information which made it seem legitimate. It uses a customer ID number and has a bar code as if its a government document. I did not give them any money but please look into this to possibly save someone else the heartache
