The letter claims Home Warrarnty Division 2024 Final Notice it was about to expire or might have already expired and it gave an expiration date of 5/15/2024 which had past. It listed,my name, the Bank Name and the company name to the actual warranty company. It said to call 1-877-671-1027 immediately or the coverage will be lost. It did not have an actual signature but it did have a name printed and in slanted form of George Walker as Program Director. It provided Customer ID which began with HOM followed by 7 digits.

Received a letter with Fannie Mae listed as ‘Lender Info’ from Home Warranty Division’ with no on-line or mailing for return address. Letter stated that I would not have coverage for home repairs and maintenance if I did not respond by May 30. Called the 800 number and asked where they got their information and how is it that I have a Customer ID with a company I do no business with. Oh my gosh… I have now failed to sign on with them prior to the May 30 deadline! Agent would not answer my question about where they got my address and (inaccurate) mortgage information. Agent stated that I could not have their address or e mail information without signing on for this coverage. Does anyone do business with a company with no address or mail contact information?

This is the second notice that I received from the Home Warranty Department. The letter has a Presorted Standard U> Postage PAID sacrament, CO Permit #1935. First, my lender information is not what is listed on the letter. I have told them to remove my name from the mailing list but they continue to send this information. My next move is to file a lawsuit for attempted fraud and scam. Then I will file a complaint with the DOJ and the Post Master of the Post Office for possible fraud using phony Paid Permit #1935. It's time to shut down this company and have them hauled off to jail.

Received a postcard from Home Warranty Division giving notice to contact their offices so that we don’t have a lapse in coverage for active services, all repairs and replacements. They were asking for us to call them before it was too late, leaving our home at risk for expensive repairs and/or product replacement. It also had a title on the other side, “County Deed Records”, and listed other vague references (e.g. Dwelling, etc.).

We don’t have such an account, nor did we ask for their services, and this isn’t the first time we had received a similar request.

researched on internet before making contact, so scam attempt was unsuccessful.

Claiming to be a company that warrants our home, using our address in the letter.

Told us to call immediately to avoid lapse in coverage which would result in us being liable for all costs associated with any home repairs.

It said our expiration date was 5/2/2024 and their phone number was 1-800-223-9171

“This letter is to inform you that the property’s home warranty…may be expiring or may have already expired. Our records indicate that you have not contacted us yet to get your Home Warranty up to date. Call immediately as this will be our final attempt to notify you 1-888-404-4504.

THIS IS A SCAM! I am receiving unwanted unsolicited postal mail from Home Warranty Division. THIS NEEDS TO IMMEDIATELY PERMANENTLY STOP!

My parents received a letter claiming to be from a “Home Warranty Division.” The letter contained the name of their home equity loan lender as well as their full names. The letter instructed them to call 1 (800) 223-9171 upon receipt to avoid a lapse in coverage before their listed expiration date. It reads “This notice is to inform you that the property’s home warranty at ADDRESS Secured by LENDER, may be expiring or may have already expired… Failure to call and prevent a potential lapse of coverage could result in you being liable for all costs associated with any home repairs…”

The letter was signed “James Miller, Program Director.”

It was a Final Notice postal letter stating to activate an expiring home warranty by calling 800-223-9171

- Waianae, HI, USA • Mar 27, 2024

Received letter via US POSTAL services. Letter stated, "Our records indicate that you have not contacted us yet to get your Home Warranty up to date." A Registration Fee Voucher was attached -- Value $199.00. "Call IMMEDIATELY as this will be our FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU: 1-888-404-4504". "Notice date March 7, 2024, Contact Phone 1-888-404-4504, Record ID 0678P05887. Respond by 3/28/2024". (Letter received on 3/27/2024). I have received the same letter in the past and have ignored them, but this time I just decided to report what is an obvious scam. Only contact information was via a phone number with the prefix 888. Operating hours was listed as CST. Disclaimer at bottom of the letter "Not all consumers have previous coverage. We are not affiliated with your current mortgage holder. THIS IS NOT A CHECK".

I got a very official looking letter with a customer ID, expiration date, 2 phone numbers (1 for English and 1 for Spanish), info about my letter, and bolded and all caps warnings to "respond immediately."

- Groton, CT, USA • Mar 14, 2024

I received in the mail today, a final notice, stating that my lender stated that my warranty at my home address is expiring or already expired and to contact this telephone number immediately and if I failed to call and prevent a potential of coverage could result in being liable for all cost associated with this home

I received several letters from Home Warranty Division, stating that my home warranty protection was about to run out. No address, phone or website shown. They mentioned the name of my reverse mortgage company. I've never responded to any of the letters. I find them irritating and want them to stop.

My mother, Patricia Thumser, who is in a nursing home with Alzheimer's, received mail at my home telling her that her home warranty is out of date. The company listed is Home Warranty Division. There is no return address, just a phone number. The mail has no return address and it request immediate response. the postage use mailed from 63155 Permit 5497 in the corner where a stamp should be. My mother has never lived at the house address listed but we changed her mail at the post office to my address back in August of 2023. Attached is a fee voucher for 199.00 that requires a signature for redemption. The check has the same record ID number. This paperwork has a record id: which is obviously fake but to an older person or person with limited capacity it could look real.

Another letter received from this company

- University Place, WA, USA • Feb 22, 2024

A mailed letter was sent to my address with my 92-year-old mother's name from a company named HOME WARRANTY DIVISION. I called the phone number in the letter (1-888-404-4504) to ask them to remove her name and address from their mailing list. After a man answered named THOMAS, he hung up as soon as I said I wanted my mother's name removed from their mailing list.

My mom has received five of these letters. I called to see if I could obtain more information. The fella on the phone told me I had to give him information to get any. He said that the Home Warranty Division represents all lenders in America. The letter looks legit except there isn't a website or email address. Their hours of operation are CST so they're not on the West Coast. Beware, it looks and feels like a scam of some kind scam, but. you will not get any information from them. They immediately use scare tactics and try to get you to commit to a new home warranty. I understand we all need to make a living, but this is outrageous.

Funny thing is I have never in my lifetime owned any house or property

It says location type: Dwelling

Component Element Carrier: Mechanical Systems

Coverage Area: INSIDE/OUTSIDE

Home Inspection: WAIVED

Usage Limit: Continual

Registration ID:029PB04672. PIN:0423

It shows me hours of operation but does not give any mailing or physical address state city or zip

Says I updated my "paperwork" and so i don't lapse in coverage for all my available components...... Leaving my home at risk for expensive repairs

RIGHT NOW IN MY LIFE I AM HOMELESS I WOULD SURE LIKE TO KNOW WHERE I LEFT A HOUSE I OWN...
