I was contact by someone at Human Arc who said they were working with my health insurance company to see if I could get SSI disability. They said they had sent a letter to me regarding this and they were following up on the letter to see if I was qualified to receive SSI disability. I have fibromyalgia and cannot work full time so I thought I would talk with them. They asked a bunch of health questions and the said they were transferring me to their "legal" team to finish the assessment. The first thing the "legal" team asked was my Social Security number. I said "I don't give that out." They said they could not continue with the interview. Then I received a letter written on my health Insurance (Meridian Health) letterhead (it looked like a copy). When I called my insurance co I gave them the member # on that letter (which was not a legit member #). I talked with a customer service Rep at Meridian and asked about the supposed "program" that Meridian is working with Human Arc to assess members for disability. She said "absolutely not"" and that the letter was fake. I told her I thought it was a scam. If this company (Human Arc) had been legit they would have already had my Social Security number from my health ins. provider.
People need to be vary wary about anybody that asks for their Social Security #. So... with that said, HUMAN ARC is a scam.

I don’t know what to do about them. If legit I could do with the help if my SS claim gets denied. It’s already in review, just waiting to hear. They said they could help me with an appeal if I get denied but can’t do anything unless I sign their file out form and return to them so they can represent me and get info from SS on my claim. If they are scamming, our govt should protect us from that but they don’t. There are no warnings against them that I can see. Some people say they are on scampulse say they helped them. What to do?

These people pretended to be from my insurance company and left me a voicemail. I returned the call. Walter answered. He was nosy, loud, rude, pushy. A scam artist. He asked a bazillion questions and pretended to be from my insurance company but when I asked why he was calling, he got angry. He put me into endless hold then hung up on me. My ACTUAL insurance company said he called from Human Ark ( Human Arc, aka Centauri ) but had no idea why they called. Note that I am not eligible for SSI or disability and I have never applied for either. The Human Ark caller had ALL the same information that my insurance company had. They were literally looking at the same screens. They should have known I wasn't eligible for anything they were pushing. Thats another tip off - they're scam artists. They must have paid off a lot of high ranking people to get access to our personal information in this way.

They called me today. It is legitimate just make sure you have the right phone number. Molina my kids have insurance through them and signed my kids up. The real number is 1866 431 5025 and they will give you your child's case number as well to check on it.

I was contacted this summer by Human Arc telling me that my Florida Medicaid Insurance Company, Staywell, had tagged me as being eligible for SSI and Disability (which is true, I am 42 with severe BiPolar Disorder and have not been able to work for several years, I was carried under their Major Mental Illness policy...I am very expensive for them...).

Then, they proceeded to tell me that Staywell is offering to hire Human Arc to represent me to the SSA and they will pay the 25% back pay if I am awarded benefits, so I would receive my full back pay.

They did mention that it could affect my current insurance in passing. I did a little research and discovered that indeed, it would make me ineligible for Medicaid in Florida and I would not be eligible for Medicare for a year!

This is medically dangerous for me because it would mean no meds!

At first I figured the scam was that Staywell was trying to dump me off the payroll because I am a bad investment.

Things didn't make sense deep down inside... intuition is always right in my experience.

All they did was interview me and get a lot of personal information, stories too...I feel invaded a bit.

Then someone used the interview to fill out the online application on my behalf. The "Disability Specialist" called me once in September and chatted with me for about five minutes.

All other communication has been directly between me and the SSA. I had to approve and sign off on a paper version of my application and make any corrections. There were TONS of things wrong or simply omitted like they didn't even try.

I had to do tons of more paperwork, phone interview with the SSA, got all my medical records, wrote personal statements...they even sent my dad and another personal reference huge packets to fill out about me.

Human Arc did nothing!

Luckily, the first package of Human Arc information release forms and approval of them representing me was lost and it took enough time for the replacement to be sent.

I wrote in Sharpie over the papers "I don't and have never approved Human Arc as my representative. Do not release any information to them about my case. Void!"

Time went by, and this fall Staywell shifted the Florida Medicaid accounts to Sunshine Health in a contract buyout. On October 1st I became a client of Sunshine Health. Human Arc knew this in the summertime the deal had been in the works for a year!

I then received a package of paperwork exactly the same as the originals, the letter stating that I needed to sign them for my case to continue (not true...I continue to represent myself better than they did!) They looked exactly the same, with highlighted signature spots at the bottom for a quick sign. Luckily, I was suspicious and read the new papers carefully.

There was one tiny difference...they changed the details so that I would owe them the 25% paid directly to them out of my back pay from SSA before I even got my cut.

Not a single mention about the insurance company change. I don't know if they are even aware that I am not with Staywell anymore. I received a call from someone at Human Arc asking me to contact my "Disability Specialist".

I told her that I didn't approve them and what I thought of them taking advantage of disabled and mentally ill people, and to never contact me again.

I changed my phone number about a month later. Over the holidays, my "Disability Specialist" called my Dad (my emergency contact)three times!

I just received a letter from her that she needs more information from me so she can continue to assist me, contact me when needed and keep me updated about my application.

They haven't even been involved in the process and I never submitted the SSA form to give them any information about my case.

Centauri Health Solutions Company is a listed vendor for Staywell, but there is no benefit such as what they represented. I don't believe they have anything to do with either insurance company.

Something must be done about these people. They are horrible taking advantage of people who suffer and have no money. Shame on them.
They're Real but Not Honest

Wow, if you can write this much you can CERTAINLY WORK.

Like everyone else, I was contacted by them and told that my child’s insurance company referred her to them. Very skeptical, I called my child’s case manager and she said yes, it is legitimate and I should work with them. I am currently trying to get a hold of them but having some trouble now. I should’ve talked to them at the outset!

Hi Margie.
Did you ever get any answers? What number did you call? Same thing just happened to me. Only, they already had all my daughters information including her ss# but it’s the same number I’m assuming you called (the 866 454-0411). The lady also gave me another number to call back to give more information if I get any and it’s the same number some people say it’s the real number 866 431 5025. I can’t get a hold of my daughters social worker so that I can have a peace of mind. I really hope it’s not a scam.

8664315025
The only number for the REAL Human Arc. They are assisting me with disability.

Make sure they are really Human Arc. I actually found this because I am looking for them. My child was tagged 4 years ago based on diagnosis and Drs referrals. They did all the paperwork and when I went to the social security office the worker actually said "oh good you have human arc on your side! You're very lucky! If your done is eligible they'll get it for you. We like working with them". So. They ARE safe, legit and recommended. My son got SSI quickly and they do all of his paperwork still

What phone number did you call?
I believe they are legit because my insurance confirmed that they do work with them but there are also Scammers pretending to be them.

They had called me and said the same. Within a month she had SSI. They do contact people on got healthcare and assist them in getting benefits they may not have known about. I am now having them handle my SSI/Disability claim.

I woman called claiming to be From United Health called to get some info for possible SSI eligibilty. She conducts over an hour long interview with a million health questions. She also had previous medical info on me. It is identical to another woman's complaint scam ID 392889

I received a letter stating there is a program to help me with extra income a month and he’ll me with ssi for my son.
I filled the application out online and called them after hearing nothing.
Like an [censored] I gave them mine and my sons info.
The next day I kept getting tons of calls telling me that they could help someone in my house file for disability.
I kept getting phone calls from people asking if I could hear them ok.
I called united health care which the letter had come from a letter head from United and human arc.
United had not sent that letter and was not affiliated with any company called human arc.
How did they even know my son had a disability?
Had they already hacked into my sons medical history?!
I filed a complaint with attorney general and FTC, also the police.
Put a lick on all of my credit reports.
These people are sick and won’t leave me alone, trying to get my info and make me say yes over the phone.
Now everyone knows to look out for them. Even United Health

Wow you must have been one of the unfortunate, because in NO way are they a scam! Not the official Human Arc. You can call this number 1866+431-5025 mon-Fri 8:30-7:30pm

My brother is currently receiving SSDI and I am his power of attorney. He got an application from ARC which has his SS# on it which was a form to appoint a person/representative to release information to, make contacts and send notices to, and ACCEPT PAYMENTS! Calling the number left me on hold but luckily my brother caught on that it was not a typical notice from SS office and alerted me.
The representative name is Katherine Hess. Phone 888-681-2378. ID# GP96M6P6VT. Although its probably all fake.

The same thing is happening to me but my insurance says they are legitimate so are they really a Scam? I need to know they have my sons information.

- Tucson, AZ, USA

A woman called me and said she was contracted by my ins. co, United Healthcare, which thought I might be eligible for SSI payments. I gave her my address and birthdate, but no more - to confirm and continue the conversation. I'm always on the alert for scams, so told her I was busy and could I call her back. Also was there a web site I could go to for more info.

She gave me the www.ssa.gov URL and to look for sSi/SSDI info. I did that this morning and my age makes me ineligible. When she got my birthdate, that should have been the end of the conversation. Instead, she was ready to take my application. In fact, it's likely my ins. co. knows that I'm not eligible and they did NOT contract these people to contact me. It was a lie all along!

They attempted “helping me get my son on SSI”. I called the insurance company after I received a letter and they said that it was a scam.
