Someone needs to stop these bogos emails or contact Careerbuilder and ask them to step in to stop this scam practice of this company. I do not even have a background in IT or anything of the like, this is frustrating when people are trying to find employment but receive emails that are phishing for information from job seekers.

Omg thank god I just checked to see if this was a scam! I had a gut feeling and I’m also glad I didn’t send anything to Mr. Tony Bell

Had me download Skype to start chatting with a Steven Hyland :

"I am Mr. Steven Hyland, the Interview Manager for the firm Crux Informatics Inc. I’m here to brief and interview you more about the opening position; please introduce yourself by indicating your full name and your location."

Felt off since I checked the website and career opportunities and no Customer Service rep roles on the list. Red Flag #1. Then I check the name out and no name comes up anywhere. Red Flag #2. Didn't really need another red flag as 1 red flag was enough for me but just checking to make sure this is actually a scam job interview.

I hope no one gets scam by these people as they were sent me an email also like the ones above that they found my resume on "Career Builder" but I sure didn't apply on that site or any other. I write the jobs I do apply for and I don't see it on my list of jobs I applied for. So there's red flag #3!

Please be careful out there and also giving out private Information about yourself. If anything id get interviewed at the actual workplace or have an actual call/FaceTime or zoom if anything to see how legit things really are.

Also no job would ask you to pay for courses or use any money to get setup for a job.

Had the same experience except his name was Hudson Phillips very unprofessional and promised a phone interview and instead attempted to ask what bank I use in a list of various interview questions over text. conducted himself poorly please don't fall for this scam of trying to acquire people's banking information.

I received a message from Crux Informatic Inc. They said they got my resume and info. From "Career Builder" which is a job app. So not thinking much of it I took the steps that was asked to get the job so atlas they tell me Congratulations I have the position. So it would be a customer service Rep. Position all remotely and strictly online they asked that I download "Wire" which is a msg./video App. So initially they said the guys name was Anthony Phillips he was the hiring manager so they had me fill out an I-9 form, a homeland security form and a direct deposit form but I did not fill out that form instead I went to the bank. They then said that they pay for the materials needed but I need to buy from there vendors to establish good and trusting working relationship. So they send me a check thru email -RED FLAG- and tell me it's very important that I do exactly what they say because they are testing me to see if I can follow directions properly and exactly. So then they asked that I print out the check take a pic. Of it front n back and then use mobile app to deposit it.. I took it to the bank the bank said it was fraudulent I told the guy on the msg. app what the bank said and then I asked for the accounting managers number since I am an employee there now I can have it, right? But instead said they that the accounting manager is really busy and that they will have them contact me. So then I get a call from HR almost immediately, which I thought was odd also cuz the guy just explained how busy he is but anyway he says his name is Edwin Cole he has an African accent and he fumbled on his words when I asked him what position he held there. So after that they ask me since we are waiting if I could use $500 of my own money to purchase some software so I can get started on training. I said "No" but he was very persistent in me going and purchasing those items. This is so aweful now all my personal info was given for the tax form this is just depressing, it's bad enough I don't have a job and now the little I do have is at risk cuz my personal info was just given to them. I wish there was something I could do but lesson learned the hard way but Karma is amazing cuz I know justice will prevail in one way or another.

I got interviewed for a customer service rep position through a messaging app and was offered the job via email. The email was from [email protected] and went to spam so RED FLAG! Then in the job offer it said “employee agrees to purchase the software” why would I need to do that?! My gut is saying this is wrong! The guy’s name was Edwin Cole and he would be my hiring manager but he is also the HR person? What?! Something seems fishy… Beware!

My dad received a text message from “Anita Hughes” who claimed to be from Crux Informatics which stated that they had received his application for a data clerk position (work from home) and wanted to go forward with an interview. He has been applying for WFH jobs and didn’t remember applying for the position.

He interviewed through a messaging app, and they wanted to do a second interview through the messaging app (never talked to anyone on the phone) but the interviewer stated his name was “Jayden Carter”.

They said they wanted to move forward with employment, but that they were in a hurry and sent him an email which at first glance seems like it’s from the company’s website domain, but it’s missing the plural so instead of @cruxinformatics.com, it’s @cruxinformatic.com. The header to the offer of employment letter is not the company’s logo. They also sent a direct deposit form and asked for copy of passport.

From there, they wanted to send him a check for him to order office supplies from their own vendor, when my dad asked why, they stated that it “helps establish a mutually trusting relationship between employee and employer.” He immediately cut off contact, called his bank/credit lines, signed up for credit monitoring, changed passwords and filed a police report.

Called the actual company and they have no record of these people there. It’s a Scam. It’s not crux informatics, and the job isn’t real.
